The League's Bait

Kendo reached Yuto's group and bent forward, breathing hard.

"Bad news. The League of Villains attacked the camp."

She looked at the ruined battlefield and understood at once.

Class 1-A had been attacked too.

Kendo forced herself to continue.

"Their target seems to be students. They took Shiozaki and Honenuki."

Class 1-A went still.

Mineta's voice cracked. "They kidnapped Shiozaki and Honenuki? Why would they do that?"

The others were just as confused.

Yuto thought for a moment, then smiled coldly.

He understood.

It was the League's strategy.

Their target had always been him. Capturing him directly would be difficult, so they had used powerful criminals to scatter the students and teachers. At the same time, they took hostages to force him to show himself.

Yaoyorozu reached the same conclusion.

"The League's real target is Yuto. Since capturing him directly is too difficult, they created chaos with powerful enemies and took hostages to draw him out."

Ochaco's hands tightened. "That's horrible."

Mina raised a fist. "They're playing dirty."

Tsuyu nodded. "The camp is huge. If they don't know exactly where Yuto-chan is, hostages are a way to force him to move."

Every eye turned toward Yuto.

The League's plan was obvious now.

What would he choose?

Kendo looked at him with desperate hope.

Yuto's gaze hardened.

"The League is after me. This started because of me. If I want to be a hero, I have to take responsibility."

That was his answer.

Kendo's eyes filled with relief. "Thank you."

Yuto began giving orders.

"Bakugo, Todoroki, Midoriya, Tsuyu, Yaoyorozu, Mina, Ochaco, you're with me. We keep fighting."

He looked at the rest of the group.

"Everyone else has injuries. Continuing would be reckless. Stay here and wait for rescue."

His tone left no room for argument.

The others wanted to follow, but they knew he was right. Forcing themselves forward would only slow him down.

Midoriya straightened. "Yuto-kun, I won't disappoint you this time."

Mina pumped a fist. "I'll use everything I learned at this camp."

Tsuyu nodded. "I won't hold you back, Yuto-chan."

Bakugo and Todoroki were both ready for the final fight.

Kirishima and Hagakure looked at Midoriya's group with envy.

"I want to fight beside Yuto too," Kirishima said.

Yaoyorozu gave him a gentle look. "You'll have another chance."

Yuto nodded.

"No time to waste. We start the counterattack now. This is the final fight."

"We win here," he said. "No more losses."

The selected students answered together.

Under Yuto's lead, they moved into the forest.

Their targets were the remaining League members: Dabi, Kurogiri, Twice, Himiko Toga, Mr. Compress, and the others.

Elsewhere in the camp, the League had used the chaos caused by the elite criminals to slip in and capture Ibara Shiozaki and Juzo Honenuki.

But the tremors from the battle with Muscular had shaken even them.

Dabi looked toward the smoke with narrowed eyes.

"That much noise... Did Muscular go all out?"

Toga's smile brightened. "Even Muscular had to go all out? I want to see who made him do that."

Dabi gave a cold laugh. "Doesn't matter. If Muscular is involved, he won't lose."

Kurogiri watched the smoke rising over the camp.

The fight had shaken the forest and filled the sky above the battlefield with smoke.

A bad feeling settled over him.

Had Yuto defeated Muscular?

He did not want to imagine it.
