Chapter 26:
HIKARU TO ONNA
:
The journey had been long, but the team was finally closing in on the Demon Mountain. Tatsuya, Kazuya, Masaru, and the tiny squirrel-boy Tokoro were rushing forward. Along the way, Kazuya looked back at Tokoro and teased him gently. Tokoro puffed out his chest, trying to look big.
Kazuya turned to Masaru with a smirk. "Masaru, this is exactly why I say you should never praise anyone too early. Look how proud he gets!"
Tatsuya sighed, speeding up his pace. "Stop joking around, you two! Nobody asked you to praise anyone. Just hurry up so we can finish this."
Deep inside the dark caves of the mountain, a sinister spaceship belonging to the space demons was hidden. Inside, Kenji was trapped in a cage, weak but defiant. Guarding him were two powerful demon warriors, Ibara and Akuryou.
Ibara looked at Kenji and laughed mockingly. "Look at him. Do you really think that little Tokoro is going to come all this way to save you?"
Akuryou confusedly scratched his head. "Wait, who is Tokoro?"
"Oh, he is a little surprise for you," Ibara grinned. "You will see when he gets here."
> Suddenly, the heavy AIR blasted open. Tatsuya, Kazuya, Masaru, Yumeko, and Tokoro burst into the room.
> Ibara smiled wickedly, clapping his hands. "Well, well! Welcome, heroes!"
> Tokoro, furious at the sight of the villains, screamed at the top of his lungs, "This is not a party for you to welcome us, you monster!"
> Ibara chuckled, looking at his partner. "Oh, but we can turn this into a party, can't we, Akuryou?"
> Akuryou looked around the room, completely missing Tokoro because of his tiny size. "Uh, Ibara? Who are you talking to? I don't see anyone else."
> Ibara pointed downward. "Look down, you idiot! Right there."
> Akuryou leaned over, staring at Tokoro, who was actually a *tiny little squirrel*. Akuryou burst into uncontrollable laughter. "Are you serious, Ibara?! This is the big surprise you were talking about? This tiny little thing?"
> Ibara and Akuryou laughed hysterically. Seeing how funny Tokoro looked trying to be brave,
> , *Tatsuya, Kazuya, and Masaru couldn't help but giggle too*, covering their mouths and smiling.
> Tokoro looked back and saw his own friends laughing at him. His eyes filled with angry tears. "You guys too?! You are laughing with them? Fine! I don't need any of you! I am going to save Kenji all by myself. You all are horrible!"
> While Tokoro was throwing his angry tantrum, *Yumeko, the only girl in the group*, looked deeply worried. She felt a chilling aura from the villains. "Guys, stop playing around. These two feel just as terrifying as the last demons we fought. Honestly, I am so worried about Yuki right now."
> Tatsuya placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Don't stress out, Yumeko. Yuki isn't alone. *Yukito is out there with him.* And to be honest, Yuki's plan is absolutely brilliant."
> Meanwhile, on the other side of the mountain, a fierce battle was taking place. Yuki and Yukito were fighting the deadly *Yami Kage*. Yami Kage was completely miserable and confused. Yuki and Yukito looked exactly identical, but their fighting styles were completely opposite.
> Every time Yami Kage tried to block a move, it backfired. If he prepared for a physical strike, a magical blast hit him instead. He couldn't figure out who was standing in front of him and who was behind. Was it Yuki? Or was it Yukito? He couldn't tell, but he could feel that one of them possessed a much higher, more dangerous level of power.
> Before Yami Kage could figure it out, Yuki moved like lightning. Using his elemental powers, *Yuki unleashed a blast of freezing snow, trapping Yami Kage's shadow directly to the ground.* Yami Kage gasped, completely stuck and unable to move.
> At that exact moment, Yukito jumped into the air. He untied the *glowing mystical ribbon* from his wrist and whipped it forward, binding it tightly around Yami Kaze's arms and locking him down. With a swift, powerful twist, Yukito pulled the ribbon hard, slamming Yami Kage against the rocky wall.
> A sharp pain shot through Yami Kage's arm. Clutching his injured hand, he glared at the twins with pure hatred and screamed in agony, *"You two...!!!"*
> A line from Yamikage comes to mind. When Kazuya pointed out that the one with the mark on their hand was Yuki, Yamikage gave a wicked smile and said, "Betrayal? I guess this is what they mean when they say every single thing in nature hides a secret."
> A moment later, Yamikage's voice turned terrifying. "I am going to kill both of you right now!" With that, Yamikage started running around like a madman. He tied the two of them together and shoved them hard. They took a heavy blow to their heads, but Yuki kept shouting anyway. It was as if getting hurt only made Yuki stronger and more energized.
> He looked at Yamikage and asked, "What do you actually want?"
> Yamikage sat down on the ground and replied, "Can you even give me what I want? I used to want love from my own people, but I don't care about that anymore. That expiration date has passed. I have a new goal in life now."
> Yuki said, "The expiration date on love never passes, if you truly love your own soul..."
> Before he could finish, Yamikage cut him off and yelled, "There is no match between your words

> Yuki said, "The expiration date on love never passes, if you truly love your own soul..."
> Before he could finish, Yamikage cut him off and yelled, "There is no match between your words and reality, so shut up!"
> Yuki asked, "Is your new goal in life to destroy this Seal Village?"
> "Destroy it?!" Yamikage snapped. "You're talking about destruction? These are my own people! First, I'm going to finish you two off. Then, I'll go somewhere else, clear my head, and figure out how to destroy it."
> Yuki unleashed his dark crows, sending them swarming toward Yami Kage in a fierce attack.
> Yami blocked the onslaught, looking at Yuki with a teasing smirk. "You know, for some reason, you feel like a distant relative of mine."
> Yuki's face contorted with pure disgust. "Ew! Gross! Not in a million years!"
> Watching the chaos unfold, Yukito rolled his eyes and mumbled, "I swear, Yuki, I'm looking at a bigger lunatic than you right here."
> Meanwhile, Yami was completely unfazed. He casually waved his hands and legs, deflecting the attacks as if he were just stretching. "Look, I have absolutely no interest in wasting my time with you two," Yami said, sighing. "But you guys are forcing my hand. I actually have much more important things to do. If you can, just help me out here."
> Yuki froze, completely bewildered by his words. He turned to Yukito, utterly confused. "What kind of enemy is this? He's literally asking his opponents to help him!"
> Yami Kage laughed coldly. "You are your own worst enemy, Yuki. You're the one ruining your own life. Just like right now—you're putting
> Yami Kage laughed coldly. "You are your own worst enemy, Yuki. You're the one ruining your own life. Just like right now—you're putting yourself in grave danger by picking a fight with me!"
> "Alright Yami, that's enough talking," Yukito snapped.
> He quickly handed a ribbon to Yuki. Yuki grabbed it, tied it tightly around his leg, and took off with explosive speed. Charging straight at Yami Kage, he delivered a brutal kick right to his face. The strike was incredibly powerful. Within a split second, the sheer force of the impact sent Yami Kage flying backwards, crashing into the distance.
