Chapter 127:
My Hero Academia: Gura Gura no Mi
Dabi's blue flames tore through the night.
The temperature around the clearing surged in an instant. Leaves curled black on the branches, and the air shimmered from the heat.
Class 1-A spread out behind Yuto.
"Bakugo. Todoroki. Midoriya."
Yuto's voice was low, but everyone heard it.
"Take on Kurogiri and Twice. Do not let the warp gate open freely."
"Don't give me orders!" Bakugo snapped.
Even so, he moved.
Todoroki raised his left hand, ice already forming beneath his feet. Midoriya's body flashed with green light as he entered Full Cowl.
"Mina, Ochaco, Yaoyorozu, Tsuyu," Yuto continued. "Handle Toga and Mr. Compress. Watch your blood. Watch your distance. Do not let Compress touch you."
"Got it," Mina said, acid gathering in her palms.
"Leave it to us," Momo answered, creating a staff and a shield at the same time.
Tsuyu crouched low. Ochaco touched two fingers together and nodded.
"Everyone else, protect Honenuki and Ibara. Keep the line from breaking."
Dabi laughed. "You still have time to command people while facing me?"
"If I stop commanding them, they will complain later."
Dabi's smile faded.
A wall of blue fire rushed forward.
Yuto kicked off the ground.
Three swords spun in a tight arc. The pressure around him changed, sharp enough to make the students behind him flinch.
"Three Sword Style Secret Art."
The blades crossed. "Three Thousand Worlds."
Steel and blue flame crashed together.
The clearing exploded with light.
Far above the forest, a helicopter banked hard through the night sky.
A camera lens locked onto the battlefield below.
"We have visual!" a reporter shouted over the sound of the rotors. "The U.A. forest camp is still under attack, and Class 1-A has engaged the League of Villains!"
The live broadcast cut across Japan.
On televisions, phones, and public screens, viewers saw a battered first-year student standing against a wall of blue fire.
"That's Yuto Kanzaki!" the reporter continued. "The U.A. Sports Festival champion is fighting Dabi, a young villain associated with the League of Villains and a known follower of the Hero Killer's ideology!"
The camera shook as another burst of flame lit the forest.
"Dabi's flames are blue, extremely hot, and powerful enough to rival a Pro Hero's firepower! Kanzaki is responding with Three Sword Style!"
Across the country, people froze in front of the broadcast. A student. A first-year.
Facing a villain whose flames could swallow the forest.
"A U.A. first-year is clashing with the League right in front of us," the reporter said, voice trembling. "Can U.A.'s rising star stop the League again?"
Below the helicopter, Yuto and Dabi broke apart.
Then they clashed again.
