The Girl on the Luxury Cruise Ship

A harbor under the moonlight.

Floating on the water is a gigantic, ultra-luxurious cruise ship that could easily be mistaken for a palace on the sea.

Onboard the ship, a lavish ball was being held to celebrate the admission to the Enzyme Boarding School.

A grand entrance ceremony, involving parents and guardians, is taking place on board the ship.

Accompanied by an orchestra, world-renowned musicians and opera singers deliver their performances.

I might be the only one sighing.

"I feel so lonely..."

I'll be saying goodbye to my parents soon. I don't think I can go on living.

Only the most outstanding freshmen, who overcame odds of several hundred to one, remain on this ship. I'm one of them, too.

I bumped into a young waiter carrying a tray laden with champagne glasses.

"Oh... I'm so sorry!"

The glass shattered into pieces, and the honest-looking waiter was wandering around looking confused. I handed him some cleaning supplies from the next room and helped him pick up the tray.

"Thank you so much! How did you know where the equipment was?"

"Just a hunch. How old is Bob?"

I looked at their name tag and called them by name in a familiar tone. They must be around the same age as me.

"I'm 16. I dropped out of high school to save money to travel around the world. What about you?"

"Susie Liam is the same age as me. She's about to start high school."

"Great! Keep it up. Thanks for the broom and dustpan, they really helped."

Bob winked and went to throw away the glass. His whole being was radiating hope.
