Chapter 26:
The director of the magic school is the new student, Susie Liam
Behind the magnificent, palace-like school, dark emotions swirled.
There was a group that was never happy about a freshman becoming the chairman of the board.
"He's just some pink-haired kid with no redeeming qualities."
"I don't want them to get carried away."
They were underachievers who couldn't fully utilize their magical abilities. They spread malicious rumors about me and interrupted the chairman's speeches at school events.
However, that plan crumbled away.
Classmates Miranda and Kevin, along with sophomore Natasha and their tutor Adam, systematically dispelled all the rumors one by one.
The source can be easily identified with magic. Interrogate the person, record the details, and permanently add it to the student roster.
"Hey, stop it...it'll affect my graduation exams, won't it? It's just gossip."
"Then you should dispel this rumor yourself. Correct it to each and every person."
"Huh? Okay, I get it..."
Whenever I spoke, they would preemptively intervene and sternly shut down any heckling or harassment.
"It's a pain to mess with the chairman."
"Should we just leave it alone? We're busy too."
As the rumor spread, the number of people who opposed me decreased.
"It's a hundred years too early for a freshman to lay a hand on the chairman of the board."
Miranda said with a confident smile.
"It's good that you have someone who cares about you, Susie."
Adam smiled gently. I was deeply moved by the warmth of my friends who acted for me without considering personal gain or loss.
But that feeling of awe was intertwined with profound despair.
She couldn't tell anyone her secret. While receiving the genuine goodwill and friendship of her companions, Susie is being forced to help drag them into the abyss of black magic.
(Sorry everyone...)
