Chapter 39:

I Want to Cast More Magic

The director of the magic school is the new student, Susie Liam

On the palace balcony overlooking the vast ocean, Kevin was making his classmates laugh with his playful gestures and movements.

But his father was a Formula One racer who captivated the world.

"When push comes to shove, we will always go for the win."

That strong-willed lineage had been passed down through generations. I confided everything to him and accepted him into my group.

"Don't you dare try to corrupt us with black magic...!"

Kevin slammed his hand on the stone table with bloodshot eyes and let out a low growl.

"I'm so happy we finally have more members! I've been waiting for this!!"

Shaking her short hair, Miranda nodded emphatically.

"I've been on fire for the past few months, you know? But that's what motivated me to learn magic. I don't mean to brag, but I think I'm probably second only to Susie. In fact, I might even be ahead of the second-years. My power is fueled by my anger towards anyone who bullies the weak, and blowing bad guys away with tornadoes is just so cool, right? What about you, Kevin? The one who makes them laugh and lets them get away with it?"

With her arms crossed and breathing heavily, Miranda talks as much as ever, nodding to Kevin.

These hot-headed students were always ready for battle. They would send sharp, almost confrontational stares to the survival-oriented principal and the black magic-loving homeroom teacher they passed by.

"What if the principal shuts it down when we still don't have many students?"

Zion, the assistant teacher, stood in the shade and sighed, pushing up his black-rimmed glasses with his middle finger.

"Yeah…"

A cold, sticky voice echoed from behind me.

"You guys... what are you whispering about over there? Something's fishy."

The black magic teacher was Yorkshire. His narrow, snake-like eyes were scrutinizing me with a lingering, lingering gaze.

"It's nothing! I'm sorry for making so much noise!"

I instinctively bowed deeply to cover my embarrassment.

(Until the magic is finished...!)

I clenched my fists tightly. I have to make sure they don't notice the plan that's slowly beginning.

Our group is growing, and they are taking action.
