Chapter 2:

Family, Elements, and Jobs

Phantasia of the Worlds: The Forgotten Stories of Kingdom of the Lost Palace

Fourth Generation Era.
Holy year 999.
07:30 am.
As we waited for the rest of the family members to come, the maids set up the breakfast.
"Good morning, mother."
A voice came from behind. It was my eldest sister, Rina Jonathan Einzburn. Following her came in my elder brother Libert Jonathon Einzburn and elder sister Lilith Jonathan Einzburn.

"Good morning mother, Good morning Ciana." They said in sync.
Sister Rina sat next to me and the rest of the two sat opposite us.
"Good morning, sister," I said facing her. She smiled back at me. Sister Rina looks beautiful when she smiles. She is indeed very beautiful. No one can compare to her in terms of beauty.
Before I forgot, I should make one thing clear.
Although this world has magic, it does not mean that one can use all types of magic. You have to choose between six elements: Earth, Fire, Water, Wind, Light, and Dark.

Each of them is further divided into smaller categories. Whatever element is chosen will decide your job in the future like a mage, witch, sorcerer, etc.

When I say that you have to choose your element, it doesn't mean that YOU have to choose personally. It is said that the Goddess of life Ariana decides it when a person turns 16 of age. Every element depends on mana circles. The ones having more than five mana circles are blessed with the ability to use magic and others who do not possess enough mana circles aren't.

That doesn't mean they don't find a job or anything. There are other occupations for people not having enough mana circles or an element like a knight, adventurer, etc.

Sister Rina specializes in healing magic, with Light being her major element. Brother Libert in swordcraft and Sister Lilith in Fire element. I don't have one right now, because I am 15 years old. Now let's go back to breakfast.

"Why haven't you started eating?" Said Sister Rina. "We were waiting for you," I replied. "Where is Ciyon, isn't he up yet?"

Oh, I forgot to tell you, I have another brother named Ciyon Jonathan Einzburn. Ciyon and I are of the same age. Although, we are not biological siblings people say that we are like twins.
