Chapter 957:
En Passant Grandmaster
Mimoko twirled her hair around her finger as she read one of the books in the citadel's library. "Lots of chess books here, good ones too from grandmasters," she mused.
"Yet no one bothered reading them. A shame, but I guess that's why the citadel was ultimately deemed a failure, even though it bred a success," Tsar Grigori sighed.
"What do you mean?"
"Secrets remain secret."
"If I said you could shave my head..."
"What makes you think you'd get anything? Don't forget, you're the prisoner here, so I can choose to just have you shaved-"
"I allowed you to humiliate me at the dinner table, but now, any further humiliation will have to be dictated through chess."
Tsar Grigori began to scowl. "Very well. If you choose to allow the guards to shave you bald, I'll reveal... the premise of the citadel..."
"And is that just for shaving my head, or full peak femininity bald?"
"Sorry, I don't quite understand the term."
"Head shaved, eyebrows shaved, then lather the head and face and shave again twice, encase head and face in wax, pluck eyelashes, unwax, lather in depilatory cream, then beauty cream and oil for extra smoothness and luster."
"Such high maintenance."
"Girls always demand the best when it comes to beauty, especially when they go bald," Mimoko huffed as she sat down in a chair and crossed her legs. "Oh, and I'm a professional model so I have extra reason to demand top quality."
"Yet you wear mere shorts and sneakers?"
"Hey, these are Mizuse Niimi brand sneakers and shorts. Now Mr. Tsar, my hair for information?"
Tsar Grigori smirked and snapped his fingers. "We'll honor your preferences for complete baldness, however, I can't guarantee my guards here are the gentlest when handling ladies."
Mimoko scowled, but nodded as she was caped my a big burly guard. Much to her displeasure, the guard then grabbed her by the mouth and held her in place as he brutally buzzed off all her hair and eyebrows. The razor and shaving cream was even worse as Mimoko grimaced in pain as the guard brutally scraped her skin smooth with cold steel.
"Mmph ngh MMPH ngh mmph mmph [Don't you DARE scar my head]!" Mimoko glared as blood from the razor bumps began trickling down her head.
The guard paid her no heed and continued to brutally shave her. The waxing and depilatory cream were even more painful thanks to the razor bumps, with the eyelash plucking ironically enough being the least painful part of the makeover. Then after sitting pretty in beauty cream for 15 minutes and getting drenched in oil, the makeover was complete.
"You bastard. I feel so many razor bumps," Mimoko glared as she rubbed her now smooth bald head. "Activate your DESPER now. I want my head to be razor bump free," she seethed as an aura of fury erupted from her.
"My, so angry over a little shave?" Tsar Grigori chuckled.
"Oh yes I am! Not once have I ever been shaved so horribly. Even when deranged girls shaved me, they did it with care and quality. I guess it takes a woman's touch to shave her fellow woman bald."
"Much to your displeasure, I have no DESPER, however, I will tell you of the Citadel as promised. You see... its original purpose was to produce a chess army for Russia, however, not mainly by recruiting native talent, but by poaching and converting foreign talent."
"What do you- Wait, the Olympians-"
"Yes, we couldn't just snag foreign chess players, at least not active ones, so we explored the theory that perhaps athletes from other sports could be grandmasters at chess, and sure enough a prodigy was indeed amongst the bunch."
"Lowri Winn..."
Tsar Grigori began to clap. "You know even your chess obscurities. Yes, Lowri Winn who gave up chess for downhill skiing was brought here, and... Well, how about you see for yourself how she's been doing."
A door then opened up revealing a hairless woman clad in a blue jumpsuit and white running shoes. Dark circles lined her droopy bloodshot eyes while a wall of flesh covered her mouth.
"Say hello to Arina Miyakova, the D block champion and... semi-success story of the citadel," Tsar Grigori chuckled.
