Chapter 11:

Chapter 11

I was Reincarnated as a Spider however I still want to become an adventurer so I did despite the fear and threat of death yet I persevered and was accepted by a group of nice girls so now I will live out my dream to become a Hero and defeat the Demon King

We walk to the mountain region and we are being watched all the way there.
Assassins? likely not since we wouldn't notice them but they are after us.
There is a route for most of the way into the mountains since it is used alot so we have no problems so far.
As we head further in, that disappears and the real quest begins.
1 of the 3 new quest is an added dire wolf subjugation.
The other killing some goblins, they are a pain to track down in the mountains so it pays well.
The last is gathering their bodies for material, it's a seperate quest because not everyone brings back the bodies or they keep them for themselves so this was needed.
Already half an hour into the mountain range and we spot a wolf, only one.
The elf ready's her bow and she hits it dead on the head, she is more skilled than her rank dictates.

'the wolves are so numerous that we already seeing lone wolves all over the mountain' says the rogue as she takes the wolf in her dimension storage bag.
It's still the same size so it won't hold a huge amount but will suffice as long as no huge monster is added in.
All of the kills are done by the elf and rogue so far, the animals are cautious of me as expected.
Hours pass by and we head deeper in, the whole area is now trees.
We see nothing but trees, it's easy to get ambushed here so we don't seperate that much from each other.
'hey, tara-kun this will take a long time huh, it's so hard to find anything here without some sensor type skills' says the healer as she sighs ontop of me.
'are you going to stay on him the whole time?' says the rogue getting annoyed.
'I'm safer here right, it's not a big deal.'
The day turn to night and we set up camp, basic camping gear and a tent.
I stay outside near the fire, they decided to keep it going since I am outside and it can attract some beasts.
Nothing should be strong enough to kill me only this far in.
The hours go by and I sense some wolves, 5 of them, finally a group of them showed up.
They seem hesitant, obviously due to how I look.
I quickly dash there and slash them, they put up no fight and run but it's too late.
Slash, and it's over.
They were weak despite being dire wolves, we need to go deeper to find the main groups.
The archer wakes up and see the aftermath, 'those aren't dire wolves, they are regular ones.'
Why would regular wolves still be a thing?
'you seem confused why the lesser wolves would still be around, well they just survived and managed not to breed with the bigger wolves that appeared due to their greater mana amount.'
That makes sense I suppose, I'll just leave it at that.
She goes back to sleep and I keep watch again, this body does need sleep but not daily it seems since I seem fine.
The night passes quietly and the morning rises.
Elf and rogue wake up as the sun comes up while healer takes longer.
No bath or shower but they wash their face with some water and we head on.
Elf suddenly jumps on me and sits down.
'h-hey' healer is in shock as she wants to ride on.
'you rode him all day yesterday, don't hog him to yourself'
Healer can't deny that and relunctantly gives up.

Day 2 of these quests, not a single sign of goblins yet but the wolves are slowly piling up though we only have 4 dire wolves so far.
The mountain area is huge, it stretches into a vast region east of the kingdom.
Small animals and birds are around but we don't need those.
Insects.. there should be giant bugs in this world, how creepy.
I hope I don't run into any huge ones.
The day ends uneventfully and another night is upon us.
Sitting around the camp fire, we have nothing to do but be on guard and gaze at the sky.
It's kind of peaceful in a way, out in nature and adventuring.
