"I do not care who Thor is," Felicity said softly.

Damon smiled and gently rubbed Felicity's shoulder.

"A few years apart and your temper has grown nicely. Good thing I reacted fast. If you had actually hit me, that would have been embarrassing. Does it still hurt?"

"What do you think?" Felicity huffed.

Damon smiled, scooped Felicity into his arms, and turned to Laurie.

"Looks like you need to sleep in your own room tonight."

Laurie nodded silently and left.

"Is she..." Felicity hesitated. "Your new girlfriend?"

"New girlfriend? When did we break up?" Damon asked, looking genuinely surprised.

That question froze Felicity instead.

He did not intend to end their relationship?

"Where have you been all these years? Why did you leave without a word? Do you know how much happened after you disappeared? I..."

Felicity paused, about to ask more, when Damon smiled.

"I know. I know what happened. You, Laurel, and Catwoman formed the Birds of Prey. Helena probably came looking for you to ask about me, then became the Huntress and kept tearing into you. Right? I know. I know what happened."

"What exactly happened between you and Helena?"

The mention of Helena Bertinelli, the Huntress, brought all Felicity's questions roaring back.

"I will tell you slowly. It is a fun story."

Damon carried Felicity into the bedroom.

Once there, he told Felicity everything: how he had gone out to pick up Laurel Lance, run into the Legends, been carried off by them, arrived on Themyscira, and everything that followed. At first, Felicity thought time travel sounded like science fiction. Then the story became Themyscira and the myths of Olympus, Ares, Zeus, and the rest. Then it shifted again into the Soviet Firestorm, which sounded like science again. Finally, Damon explained S.T.A.R. Labs and the Flash, Barry Allen, which explained why he was in Central City.

"That is the general shape of it," Damon said, holding Felicity against him. "Leaving so suddenly was an accident. Everything that happened afterward was interesting enough that I was not in a hurry to come back and see you. Besides, I knew you were doing well. Coming back rashly would have changed history."

After hearing a story that sounded like it belonged in a book, Felicity had already forgiven him for disappearing without a word. He had a reason, after all, and it did not look as if he wanted to break up with her.

"Those women," she said. "How do you explain them?"

"Them?"

Damon laughed softly.

"Sara Lance, Laurel's younger sister from the Legends, said it is one of my quirks. I cannot sleep unless I am holding a woman. At this point in time, Sara probably has not returned yet, so Laurel likely does not know her sister is alive. But that part is not important."

"Will you come back to Starling City with me?"

Felicity changed the subject before Damon could continue.

He could not sleep without holding a woman?

She did not believe in a quirk like that, but she only wanted an answer, or at least an attitude. The fact that he was willing to explain was enough.

It meant he still cared about how she felt.

If she kept pushing, kept demanding, maybe they really would break up.

"Not for now," Damon said. "Starling City and Central City are only about six hundred miles apart. It is convenient enough. I promise, if you miss me, call me. By the time you hang up and take a shower, I will already be in your bed."

"That fast? Can you... can you show me?"

Felicity sounded curious.

"Of course."

Red lightning flashed. Felicity was still waiting for a demonstration when Damon's clothes vanished. She blinked, then looked down at herself.

Hers were gone too.

"When did you..."

Felicity looked at Damon in shock, but Damon had already lowered his head and kissed her fiercely.

Felicity answered him, gradually losing herself.

She was not someone with a particularly strong appetite, but after so long apart, being with him again made something inside her burst all at once. It was like a dam breaking, impossible to stop once it gave way. Especially when she became incoherent and begged Damon to hurry, she came apart completely. By the end, her mind was so scattered she did not even know when she fell asleep.

Night slipped away in silence.

Sunlight filtered through the window and fell across the bed. Felicity opened her eyes, saw the unfamiliar room and Damon beside her, and froze. For a moment, she instinctively thought she was dreaming. Only after a long while did she realize it was not a dream.

"Oh no."

Felicity suddenly remembered something and hurried out of bed. She found her phone among her clothes, turned it on, and saw a pile of messages and missed calls from Laurel and Selina asking what had happened.

After hesitating, Felicity sent a simple reply saying she had found Damon and would explain later. When she looked up, Damon was already awake.

"Morning."

"Morning."

Damon walked over and hugged Felicity.

"Take a shower first. Then I will show you the Disciple."

"I'd like that."

Felicity was very curious about the Disciple.

What she did not know was that seeing the Disciple was only one part of it. The other part was that one of the empty spots in Damon's collection room finally had a subject.

Even Diana had not escaped. How could Felicity, his girlfriend, avoid it?

Although she acted furious and refused to cooperate at first, Damon still got her photograph onto the wall in the end.

After touring the Disciple and taking the photograph, Felicity suddenly remembered something.

"Right. Do you have an enemy in Central City? Or someone who does not want you staying here?"

"Why?"

"I found this place by satellite, but before that, someone told me you were in Central City."

Felicity told Damon about the email.

That immediately caught Damon's interest.

The most likely person to notify them should have been Caitlin Snow, right? But her personality did not fit that move. Which left only...

Harrison Wells.

Harrison Wells, whose true identity was the Reverse-Flash, Eobard Thawne.

Now that Barry Allen had become the Flash and begun charging the Speed Force, Harrison should be slowly recovering his speed. He also needed to steal Barry's Speed Force to speed up his trip home. That gave him the clearest motive to cause trouble for Damon, drive him away from Central City, or keep him too busy to focus on Barry Allen.
