Chapter 6:
Shruniverse: Small Stories, Giant Girls
While Lyrielle is taking a backseat, pleasurably eating little sweets as she disciplines her apprentice, her digestive system is hard at work.
Her colon is filled with waste from completely digested food, slowly moving along the long tube like a river. A thick, muddy river.
Standing on top of the waste, Rukara looks down at Zerk, who is submerged in the same waste.
“Wait wait wait, are you seriously telling me that Kaden got sneezed? Like, launched right out of the nose sneezed? How the heck did that happen?!”
“I don’t know, some strong scent agitated Lye’s nose suddenly, and before we could react, she sneezed. I managed to get tangled in some overgrown nose hairs, but Kaden wasn’t so lucky.”
“Where did he get launched to? Given how far a sneeze can spread out, without any leads, finding him will be nigh impossible.”
“I don’t know for sure, but I narrowed it down to three options: the little demon girl vendor, Kaden’s granddaughter, or the confectionaries on sale. Those were the closest things to Lye that I could see when I peeked out of her nose.”
“Then maybe Lye knows specifically what direction she sneezed in. Let’s go ask her right away!”
Full of zeal, Zerk maneuvers his thin body through the thick waste until he completely surfaced. In one fell swoop, he grabs Rukara’s hand and attempts to carry her with him with his high momentum.
Rukara yanks her hand back with ease, forcing Zerk to halt completely. Her concerned expression reflects in his eyes, which all the more intensifies his own concern.
“No, we can’t!...we shouldn’t. Not right now.”
“Eh? What do you mean ‘not right now’? That’s my bro!”
“I know, Ze, he’s my close friend too! It’s just that…Lye had a long day and she’s currently preparing to bathe before bed. The last thing a woman needs is more stress when she is unwinding from it. Knowing her, she’d panic and wear her body out if we told her. Remember, we are her cells now, so we have to be considerate of her body’s health–mentally and physically.”
Rukara locks her eyes with Zerk’s, he does not look away. Though no words come across from either side, a different form of communication that they could understand is underway. Steadily, Zerk returns to his usual level-headed disposition.
“...you’re right, we shouldn’t send our host…our best friend into a frenzy. But we can’t withhold the news for much longer.”
“Right, so we’ll tell her first thing in the morning. How does that sound?”, Rukara asks in a singsong voice accompanied by a wink. Responding to her gesture in kind, Zerk gives a double thumbs up and a toothy grin.
“Sounds like it’s gonna be a hell of a morning for Lye.”
“Oh, don’t make me feel worse! By the way, it took longer for me to get to you since you weren’t relaxing in the stomach as you said you’d do earlier. So why are you stuck in the colon?”
“Yeah, about that…I got a little too relaxed and ended up falling asleep. Didn’t wake up until after the stomach pushed out everything here. Honestly, I only woke up a couple of minutes before you came.”
Rubbing the back of his neck, Zerk averts his eyes for the first time. Endearingly, Rukara shakes her head and shrugs.
“Oh brother, you’re still my brother alright.”
“And there’s nothin’ you can do about it!”
The twin cells share a lighthearted chuckle, not letting anything else interfere with their moment.
Waste surrounding them head to toe?
A remarkable stench made worse by the periodic release of gases?
Slowly being transported to Lyrielle’s anus due to standing still in one place?
None of those things mattered–they had total control over the atmosphere.
At their leisure, they eventually calm down and resume.
“So Ru, where do you want to hang out tonight? I think now is the perfect time to go to her pits, her sweat pores are like a sauna when she bathes. Beats being covered in this filth!”
“Fine, but let’s be careful not to end up sweated out–”
Thud!
In less than a second, Rukara abruptly collapses face first into the "river" of waste–right at the feet of Zerk. The grin on his face fades away just as quickly as he realizes the changing situation unfolding. Wasting no time, he throws himself down on his knees.
“Ru? Ru?! What happened?! Hey, can you hear me?! Are you breathing–”
Thud!
Just like his sister, Zerk collapses in the same way; this time, the only difference being that his face is buried in Rukara’s backside rather than the waste below them. The twins lie on top of the slow-moving muddy river lifelessly, finally at one with their surrounding environment.
