A Good Day And A Bad Day

t was the beginning of a new day, with no problems insight and with a streak of 3 days without having to fight for my life. Everything was definitely going well Tama again had gotten up early to practice cooking with my mother, for my part I got ready to go to school today too

Once I got ready and put on my uniform, I went down to the dining room while I was looking for the jacket and hat that I took off yesterday as soon as I arrived yesterday. My mother was already eating her breakfast, although there was no sign of Tamamo, nor any clues that she had cooked. In fact, my breakfast was one prepared by my mother. As soon as she saw me she spoke to me.

"Good morning!"
"You seem to be quite animated today"
"Did something special happen last night?"
"Were the books I bought you useful for?" she said.

"I'll ignore the fact that you really had to do some manga research to find out what those were about and that despite your position you even bought them"
"And I will focus on that today is a new day!"
"A new opportunity to try to have a normal life again"
"By the way do you know where Tama is?"

"When she woke up, I asked him to watch Maria again to see what she does in the morning"

"Maybe now that I will have free time in the afternoon I can catch up with my favorite soap opera since I will not be able to go to my cafeteria"

"What a quiet day you have today"

"Yes, I don't know what I'll do with so much free time"
"Maybe I'll have to look for another hobby"

"It was sarcasm"
"How can you be so calm with all that?"
"I know maybe it's not that much compared to what you sure had to do"
"But isn't it a bit excessive?" I reproach my mother

"I know it seems like a lot of work but really I think I'll finish before 2 pm"
"Since I'm with this about Maria, I'm trying to have as little work as possible"
"Also, I already told you that I will be on vacation shortly and that is why all governments want to see me now that I am still available"
"Besides that tomorrow is Friday, and that is my day off"
"They are quite annoying, but I need their help to do all this"

"Do you really need so much help that you have to meet with so many people today?"

"Well, the CIA helped me with the false ID about Tama and you and some of the members of the European Union helped me create your false travel history in various countries"
"It is also thanks to the Ministry of Education of Japan that you are registered in that school in the same class as Maria and they were able to put Evelin as a teacher despite not having a teaching degree"

"Do you have an espionage operation in collaboration with several countries just to find out about Maria?"
"And you even have the luxury of saying that you'll be on vacation later"

"Is there something else helping you?" I asked her again

"I have a daughter in law who is a goddess in the living room trying to spy on Maria "
"I didn't even think that she would end up like this" My mom answered with a triumphant face.

"Are you not the president of any country by chance?"
"Or is it not enough for you?"

"It is very annoying trying to do something with a whole town watching your actions"
"It's better the way I am now"

After talking to my mother, Tamamo reappeared, but she informed us that nothing strange happened, Maria simply got into a car and was on her way to school. So we didn't waste time either and we got going too.

Nothing important happened at school either. The students' curious about Tama's ears and tail, but with me they just ignored me. It seemed that my strategy of hiding them worked quite a bit. Maria by her side was just hanging around doing nothing and Haru, our other member for group work, was scolding everyone for any rule they broke. Although it seemed that Tama was immune to her complaints, so for a short time Haru saw that she was a hopeless case and let her do whatever she wanted. The teacher, despite being good at teaching, did not seem to have authority in our group thanks to Yamada and Josuke who seemed to just annoy her every time they could to make the class laugh.

When classes were over we all got together to go to the coffee shop to do our group homework. And although both me and Tama were aware of Maria, the truth is that nothing out of the ordinary happened. Once at the place, we asked Saeko, the employee who works for my mother, to let us use the back table to do our homework. After that, we worked a little on how to make the presentation poster and I thought it was the right moment to try to get more information.

"How did you find out about this place, Haru?" I said trying to start a conversation naturally

"The owner of this place is a friend of my grandfather"
"She just opened it a couple of weeks ago"
"In fact so far I see that the name of the store is the White Moon"
"It may be that the store signs were late and until recently they were able to put them"

"And what do I take care of, darling?" Tama asked when she saw that we were leaving her aside

"Have these scissors, you will be in charge of cutting out the drawings to put them in this part" I told her to avoid more problems in the future.

"But that is not doing anything!" Maria said at the same time she looked at the wall where the counter was.

"Leave her alone"
"Believe me when I say that she better just do that" I tried to calm my sister

"What if I do it this way?"
"It fits well?" Tama was with a smile on her face showing an example of how not to cut out a sheet with pictures.

"But that's my science book!"
"Don't cut that down!" Said the class delegate when she saw her book

"How did you guys end up here?" Maria asked when she saw that the atmosphere was more relaxed.
"Tamamo says that she is from here but from what she says she lived with you abroad, right?"

"Well actually it's because of my mother's work" I started to tell the story that I had prepared in advance in case this happened
"Right now she is trying to negotiate with Japanese companies to export some products from here to America"
"Because it will be for several years we have decided to move here"

"I'll be where my darling is!" Tama said happily while looking for a new victim for her scissors

I think what Tamamo is doing is making the environment as happy and friendly as possible to make Maria talk more and make a mistake and release important information. But I personally think that maybe she's overdoing it with appearing to have a silly personality. I am afraid that in one of her attacks she will say something nonsense that I can not cover later

"Tama's family is still in America for work"
"Since we did not want to separate Tama offered to come alone"
"Her parents have paid for the trip so that she can discover her native country and that is why we have traveled together"
"We will be studying for a while here and we will return to America later"

"We even sleep in the same room!" Said, my wife.

Just what I was afraid Tama would say, why doesn't she stop complicating things?

"Stop talking about private things!"I sincerely told Tama.

"Do they even live together?"
"So are you serious about being a couple?" Maria asked as her eyes saw the restaurant counter

"I don't like to talk about it"
"But it is like this"
"I'm totally serious about this"I replied to her

"I am also serious with our relationship!"
"There is no other person who I love more than my darling "

"And do your families know that you two love each other?" Maria speaks again, now with a surprised face

"They did know it a long time ago, that is why they let Tamamo come here with me because they did not want to separate us" I tried to explain as quickly as possible before Tama moved her mouth again.
"They were a bit against it at first, but eventually they left us alone"
"As for my mother, she always bothered me that I married as soon as possible, so when I started dating Tama she left me in relative peace, accepting her defeat"
"But I already talked a lot about us, what about you?"

At last, I had managed to bring the conversation to the point that I wanted to take it. It cost me more than I thought in terms of dignity, but at last, I was able to ask about Maria in a way that would seem natural and not a survey.

"Not much to tell the truth" Haru was the first to answer
"I live with my grandfather"
"He works at the Tokyo police station"
"He has taken care of me since the death of my parents a month ago"

"...ho...."
"I'm sorry to hear that" Maria, Tama, and I said at the same time.

I don't expect that. What do I do now and make it seem natural? As I respond to someone who just lost her parents so recently.I don't think I can even look sad since I was in heaven earlier this week and I've already seen people die in front of me. I can't imagine what a person should look like or do in this situation.

"I'm very sorry for your loss"
"If you need help remember that you can always talk to me"

But surprisingly, the first to act was Tamamo, who took hold of Haru and hugged her. And like when a mother tells her son that everything is fine, I try to reassure her and speak to her, but now with a serious and kind tone completely different from her usual way of behaving.

"Do not worry, I'm fine"
"Although it sounds tragic I was not very attached to them"
"My mother was never home because of her work and she was always mad at me because I couldn't be smart like her and be a genius and my father wasn't better either"
"For them I was always the disappointment of the family"
"It may sound terrible but honestly since that happened my life has improved a lot now that I live with my grandfather"
"He is a person who is good to everyone and everyone respects him for who he is"
"That's why I want to become a detective like him and make people respect the law" Haru said with passion in his eyes when talking about his grandfather

When she finished speaking, everyone was silent, because now no one had any idea how to continue after hearing her speak as if the death of her parents was no big deal.

"What about you Maria?"
"By your name should you be from America too?" Tama said in an attempt to change the subject to something more cheerful

"Not much to tell either"
"My parents also have work here and that's why they brought me"
"Although I think that we will not be long"
"I may return to my country soon, I hope" Maria said sounding like a pre-recorded tape.

It was clear from the way she spoke that she was lying.

But as much as Tama and I tried to ask something about her, she only gave us vague answers. So to avoid suspicion we decided to give up for today and try to finish the task better. Also as a curiosity, Maria today was the one who ordered the most desserts from the group. This seemed strange enough to me because seeing that she spent so much time in the hospital I thought that she would take better care of her so that she would never go back there again. To avoid further suspicion Tama and I was the first to return to the house, Haru said that her grandfather would pick her up later when he left work so he stayed in the cafeteria. Maria from her side, it seems that she was ordering a final dessert from Saeko before she left, they were talking just as we left.

After that, I met with Xian in the park to inform him that we had not made any progress today. So his hopes of getting his job back were getting farther and farther away. I asked her to find another way to get closer to Maria and she replied that she is looking for something else she can do for that purpose.

Back in the house, more of the same happened. Telling my mother that I couldn't get any new information. Tama watched a new series of superheroes that just came out. And apparently, a water pipe in the kitchen broke so I spent my free time trying to fix the leak. By the time I finished everyone was already sleeping so I was the last to go to bed.

But what would happen the next day I certainly didn't see it coming, at least not that fast.

Friday started just like the day before. We all get up, have breakfast. Tama and I went back to school while my mother spent the whole day in the cafeteria today. But it was here that things began to change.

The first thing was that Maria was absent today, but I was naive, and remembering my days spent in high school I thought it was normal for a student to be absent for a day or two. When the classes ended we went to Mama's cafeteria to spend the rest of the day. But when we arrived there was only Saeko as usual. So I asked her where my mother was, to which she replied that she hadn't arrived yet. And it was here that something inside me clicked

Something bad was happening and I was unaware of it. I did not know what it was, but if it was true that something was out of place. Leaving aside that Maria who was watching someone was absent today. Our house is just one block from the coffee shop, so my mother would have simply had a walk to get here. Besides, it was impossible for her to arrive so late since she was almost starting to get dark.

Something must have happened to my mother on the way from the house to here. Remembering that she is someone important in the alliance, there could only be one option. A kidnapping, by someone either very intelligent who knows what she was doing by kidnapping someone important, or a real idiot who did not know who she was.

It would probably have been the work of the I.S.C. Maria maybe somehow managed to discover where our mother is and somehow her superiors realized that. But how?

The one who pointed out the answer to me was Tama, who showed me how there was a picture of my mother on a shelf on an opening day. So I remembered how Maria had been looking in that direction several times yesterday. That was sure how he thought she should be around her and her bosses took advantage of it.

After that, I steal a car that was nearby and I started driving towards the docks.

"What are you planning to do darling?" Tama spoke to me bringing me back to reality

"I don't have a clear idea of where my mother might be, but I think she's probably in the warehouse where Maria is."
"In the worst case she won't be there, but at least there must be a clue there"
"During a kidnapping, the more time passes after the disappearance, the more likely that something bad could happen to that person"
"I don't know how much time has passed but I must move now"

"Are you sure she's there?"

"Tamamo, my mother just disappeared and I have no idea where she is."
"The only thing I want right now is to kill someone and there are people on that port who have my sister locked up."
"You should better stay home and wait for me to come back"

"No, I want to help you and my mother-in-law"
"She is the closest thing to a mother I've ever had in my life"
"So I wanted to save her too"
"Do you have any plans in mind darling?

"I have no plan in mind"
"But since you will help me, I will ask you to use your power of transformation and look for my Mother or my sister in that warehouse and protect the entrance"
"Kill the guard and anyone who doesn't knock on the door three times"
"When I leave you near the warehouse you will have ten minutes for that"
"After that I'm going to crash the car in the driveway and I'm going to try to find you"

When we got to the port, I let Tama go to infiltrate while I got in position ready for the shooting that awaited me shortly.
