Chapter 10 : The Orc King

Tatsuo then called Tomio.

"Is something wrong Tomio-nii?"

"Its just that a mission came up. Today's training is finished. You can go now."

"Alright!" Asami then cheered.

Tomio then walked out of the training hall.

'Wait for me Sheldom.'

Tomio then rushed to the Guild Headquarters.

Chapter 10 : The Orc King

Tomio reached the headquarters of the guild. Then one of the receptionist called out to him.

"Tomio-sama, we hope that you got the letter by Sheldom-sama. As you know, the other kings are currently busy. So we hope that you will assist him. The guild is currently in a panic right now."

Tomio looked around the guild room and saw everyone with tension.

Tomio then replied.

"Alright. I'm going now. Open the portal to the cave."

"Yes."

Tomio then followed the receptionist. The receptionist then went to a room. She then opened a portal with her magic.

"Portal magic. Rift to anywhere."

A blue portal then opened in front of them. Then Tomio walked through the portal.

He then landed at a unknown spot. In front of him was the cave. The cave was huge.

Tomio then entered the cave. As soon as he entered. He felt an insane amount of mana in there.

'That maybe the boss' mana. I need to hurry up and back Sheldom.'

Tomio then sprinted through the cave. While he was sprinting, he saw 10 orcs blocking the path.

Tomio kept on sprinting. He then casted a spell.

"Sword magic, Thousand Blades."

Many blades then appeared. Tomio then swing his arm forward. All of the blade then flew towards the orcs.

"Argh!"

Killing all of the orcs, Tomio kept on sprinting. He then saw red blood. Since the orcs had green blood. Tomio knew it was Sheldom's.

Tomio then followed the blood trail. The blood trail lead up to a small hidden space. Tomio then looked inside and saw Sheldom in there.

"Sheldom! Are you okay?"

"Ah, Tomio-sama. You are here."

Tomio then helped Sheldom to come out of the space.

Tomio then asked what happened to him.

"What happened?"

"The boss in this cave is strong. It may be a S ranked monster. A high one at that."

"I see. Alright. Don't worry. I will take it from here."

"That is the best thing. To see Tomio-sama's strength first hand, That is the best honor in life."

Sheldom then lead Tomio to the boss' chamber. The boss was sitting on a throne.

Tomio hid Sheldom in a safe location.

"Oh so that puny human have brought a friend? I shall also kill him then."

The orc king than stood up and grabbed it's spear.

Tomio then looked emotionless.

"First things first. You can't defeat me."

"Huh?"

Soon enough, Tomio released all the mana he had. The orc king then sensed the massive amount of mana, he was sweating. He then backed off. Scared.

"I-I'm the orc king."

"Who cares?"

"..."

The orc king started to get scared. He wasn't able to say anything. The insane amount of mana that Tomio was emitting started to crumble the throne the orc king was sitting on. The torches on the wall blew off for the force. The orc king sat on his back. The orc king started to run.

"Where do you think you are going? You are gonna pay for what you did to the 3 magician and Sheldom."

Tomio then grabbed the orc king's neck. He then started to choke him.

"P-P-Please show mercy! I swear I will never hurt anyone."

"How do I believe that? And did you show any mercy when you killed those 3 magicians?"

"..."

The orc king couldn't say anything.

"I-I'm the orc king."

Pride took over the orc king's head.

"So you are not gonna let your pride go? I have a question for you. If you answer it correctly. I will kill you painlessly."

"O-Ok."

"You seem to be more intelligent than other monsters. So who are you guys? Why do you always attack us humans?"

"B-Because, humans showed no mercy to us. They.. They attacked us first."

"Attacked you first? What do you mean?"

"We-"

Before even completing his sentence, the orc king's eyes turned red. Power than overflew him. His mana became larger.

"What? You became stronger?"

Tomio became confused. He than backed off.

"It seems they have a script written on them. Which is why they can't share any information."

The orc king's size grew. It then charged towards Tomio.

"So looks like he lost consciousness."

The orc king roared as he charged towards Tomio.

"Sword Magic, Circular saw."

A spinning saw came in front of the orc king's head. Beheading him completely. Blood flew out of the body.

"I guess I got some more information about this stuff."

Tomio then went to Sheldom.

"As expected of Tomio-sama. Took care of the boss even though he powered up in seconds."

"Its nothing. But there are still many monsters left. We need to kill them or the cave won't be safe to mine. Stay here and I will go and kill all of them."

"Yes sir."

Tomio then went out of the boss chamber. He saw many orcs scattered around the cave.

Soon he killed all of them.

Afterwards Tomio came back to check Sheldom. Sheldom had already healed his wounds.

"Amazing. You came back as soon as I finished healing. As expected of the strongest mage in the kingdom."

"Thank you. Anyway lets go. The mining team should be outside of the cave waiting for us. We should hurry. Can you walk on your own?"

"Yes. Thank you for your concern. Lets go."

Soon enough Tomio and Sheldom came out of the cave. They then saw 10 people waiting outside with pickaxe and all the other mining equipment.

The sun shone brightly to Sheldom's eyes.

"It feels like ages since I last saw the sun."

A man with a helmet came towards them. He was shirtless with a short pant.

"Tomio-sama, good work in there. Can we go inside to mine ores now?"

"Yeah. You can. Good luck."

"Yes!"

The man then signaled his friends to go in. All of the people then went inside the cave.

After a few days. Tomio was training with Tatsuo and Asami. Suddenly Tomio said something.

"Tatsuo-sama, Asami-sama, from tomorrow on someone else will help you train."

Hearing this Tatsuo and Asami was shocked.

"Why?" asked Asami.

"I will be busy from today on. Some works has came. I may not be able to train with you two for some time."

"But. I want to train with you." replied Tatsuo.

"Is he strong?" asked Asami while tilting her head left.

"Yes. He is very strong. In fact we both are equal in strength."

"What? Someone is equal in strength with you, Tomio-nii?"

"Yes, Tatsuo-sama. He is a formal SS ranked magician."

"..."

Hearing that someone is equal to Tomio shocked both Tatsuo and Asami. Both of them were speechless.

"Did something happen in the magician guild?" asked Asami.

"You see. A few days ago when I went to backup Sheldom. I had to fought a really strong monster. So we are going to do a bit of investigation to why that monster was like that."

"Oh."

A few days ago, after Tomio and Sheldom returned to the magician guild.

Everyone was tense. When Tomio and Sheldom entered the guild head quarters.

"Guys Tomio-sama and Grisham-sama is back!"

Everyone rushed to Tomio.

Getting bombard by questions. Everyone was relieved that both strong mages came back in one piece.

Afterwards Tomio requested the receptionist to summon the 7 kings.

"Summon all the 7 kings for me."

"Yes."

After a while all of the 7 kings were present in a single room.

They sat on a chair surrounding a huge round table.

Tomio then started the meeting.

"As you all know we almost lost Sheldom. And we also had discovered a highly intelligent monster. When I had questioned him why they were attacking us. He said that it was for revenge."

Confused all the kings were chattering.

Tomio then continued.

"So when I asked farther. He didn't answer. Suddenly he was overflowing with mana and I had no choice but to kill him. So from now on. We are gonna investigate some more caves to see if we can find any more intelligent monster like the orc king."

"Yes!"

Afterwards they discussed other stuff. After a few hours the meeting ended.

Back in the present.

"And that is why I will not be able to train you for some times."

"I see. That's unfortunate then." - Asami.

"Good luck at work, Tomio-nii"

"Thank you. So now today's training is over here."

"Yes!"
