Chapter 12:

Chapter 11

To you, the wishing girl

<<Chirp, chirp, chirp>>

“It’s so loud…”

I clumsily opened my eyes while grunting to myself.

“Yawwwwnnn……” - I streched my arms up into the air. As I streched them, I touched the ceiling. It was cold yet nice to touch. Honestly, it was my small ritual to start the day.

“Ugh…” - I grumbled while slowly opening my eyes.

I hate mornings.

As usual, I climbed down my bunk bed while still half asleep.

I turned around to my desk and checked everything before I left. Uniform? Check. Keys? Check. Backpack? Check. It’s very important to be prepared.

Not much time passed since I left the house.

As usual, the house was empty.

“Yawnn…” - I covered my mouth with my hand. For some reason, I can’t stop yawning today.

Maybe I didn’t want to wake up?

Probably.

I have never been a morning person.

//

<<Tap, tap>> - A long haired girl walks absentmindedly down the street.

<<Tap, tap>> - The girl yawns once again as she crosses by the small intersection.

Suddenly, she stops her tracks.

A bell chimes in the distance.

<<Clank>>

<<Clank>>

<<claNk>>

The girl frozes over.

The noise suddenly stopped.

Slowly, but surely, something is creaking behind her.

The girl seems to have noticed this, but alas, too bad, her body won’t respond to her mind.

<<Tap>>

<<Tap>>

<<taP>>

She heard one final step right behind her.

The girl felt cold sweat going down her neck. She knew what was about to happen.

She felt her heartbeat growing louder, and she felt her breath coming to a halt.

“…”

Suddenly, the girl turned around.

In front of her, she could look at her stalker.

It was just a cat.
