Chapter 19:

Chapter 19

I was Reincarnated as a Spider however I still want to become an adventurer so I did despite the fear and threat of death yet I persevered and was accepted by a group of nice girls so now I will live out my dream to become a Hero and defeat the Demon King

As we returned to the capital city of the Kingdom of Banaleit.
The captital is not as grand as you would expect from a monarchy due to being close to the dungeon I came out from which means the nation is under threat from the monster attack, it is still impressive but it can be better especially since it has a big coastal region.
Apparently that dungeon is called the Great God Dungeon, no one has ever cleared it but it is know that it connects to another continent as the dungeon was found on 2 continents.
The one I am on is the eastern continent Kara while the it connects with the western one Daz, .
Other continents are known but are far away and no good method of transportation exists which lets them interact easily, only scarce trading takes place with the occasional voyage being tried.
The distance between the 2 close continents is not much so it can be transversed by boats in several days as long as there are no sea creatures attacking which is very rare since sea dragons and sharks roam the area further in.
Long ago it was already crossed and in doing so they were connected by spatial magic but most of people cannot use it since it is controlled by the governments.
By air is doable but requires high end mages or flying mounts to cover the distance.

As we re-enter the city from the forest we are seen by the residents there.
Everyone hides fast, unlike when we walked through when we left they are not staring or in fear, the entire street is now like a ghost town.
As we continue walking, it stays the same throughout with silence and not a person in sight.
The same feeling I had when we were entering the forest is back, some people are watching us from afar, this time they go away fast.
Finally after all this we arrive at the adventurer guild, my body is too wide to enter the door so just my head peeps into the place and people are shocked by it.
'IT'S HUGE, WHY DID YOU BRING IT HERE'
'IT'S GOING TO EAT US ALL ALIVE'
'SOMEONE SAVE ME'
Many words ring around as the place falls into a panic but it's shut down by the guild master.
'it's just a greater tarachnid, calm down!'
'WHAT'
'at most it's a B rank creature, get a hold of yourselves, you will never reach this level of strenght if you are this afraid of a mere B rank'
He says that but I'm sure he knows I am above a mere normal B rank monster.
'the master is right, if you joined together you all could take it down easily, do not give in to intimidation' says the blonde silver armored man.
'silver knight' preclaims someone.
'yeah, we all want to go even higher, we can't lose to a mere B rank monster'
'right, I agree'
The mood changes and everyone is high in morale.
The man is silver knight, his blonde hair flow down just a little bit but not enough to be called someone with long hair.
He looks like he belongs in nobility instead, maybe he is who knows but regardless even with this evolution of mine I can feel I would still lose against him and even the guild master.
'well enough of that, you 3 let's talk in the back, you completed your quests right and it seems not only the spider grew stronger either'
'yes but what about him, do we just leave him outside, someone could attack' says the rogue.
'there are other mounts outside, it shouldn't be a problem and it won't take long'
I'm stuck waiting outside now, those other mounts? they are all frozen in fear of course, except for one, a pegasus.

A cool room behind the guild reception on the 2nd floor.
It's the guild master's office, a typical woody type of room like a bar and it even has a bed, he stays there overnight on occassion.
'well then, everything is in order, you are now officially C ranks'
'you can take the monsters to the dismantling area and then the merchants guild'
The dismantling area is next door and is also a butcher shop, they work with the guild and handle all the creature dismantlings.
The merchant guild is further off but handles the sales of creatures, the adventurer guild can make a monopoly and do everything by itself but that would trigger a fierce reaction from everyone.
In the beginning they had to rely on the others help but now they are big enough not to need them however business can become war like when someone tries to take the markets.
'about the spider, it growing bigger will definitely start causing you serious danger soon, it's not safe to stay here'
'then we should move? won't it still be the same elsewhere?' asks the rogue.
'even so you have no choice if you want a fighting chance, now is the time to get rid of that tarachnid before it grows too powerful and most will start acting on it'
'another long quest journey? I'm so tired' interrupts the healer.
'it can't be helped' says the elf, 'this is the only way to secure our safety without making the nation our enemy'
Healer lets out a sigh and sinks deeper into the chair.

'moving on, we have the head of a strong dire wolf too, I assume you wouldn't paying for this right?' says the rogue as she brings out the head.
'ah, that's a strong wolf, you don't see those often around here atleast'
'how much?'
'the wolf itself is B rank and it's magical so I'd say atleast 200 gold coins'
'200?!' yells the healer out of the chair.
'yes but the usual thing to do is have the magic blacksmiths make you a weapon out of the monster so you will only remain with some of the money since magic weapon crafting costs alot relative to the monster'
'we should go with that, we need stronger weapons afterall' says the elf.
'yeah but it'll take weeks right and we need to go soon' says the rogue.
'magic blacksmithing is fast since they use magic to craft it unlike regular blacksmithing and we only have the head so it should be faster still'
'it works out then, let's get going, guild master of course we want some B rank quests now too since we have to stay on the run'
'fine, that wolf also counts towards your achievements, the quests aren't the only thing that matters'
'that's great, we should already be getting closer to B rank then, give us a good quest and we can go rank up right after it'
'normally I wouldn't do it but you have gotten yourselves in order and that spider is strong enough to warrant that rank already'
As he looks over a quest, tara is outside alone.
Nothing but silence for half an hour as the girls sort their stuff out.
