Successfully down the mountain and running through the forest now.
Right back to that cave, it seems it really became our secret base.
Nothing went into it yet so no fighting occured, I secure the entrance again and then lay down.
Healing is still taking place, the poison is strong enough that I still feel it pulsing through me.
Without the heal spell I would have died already, even so this particular healing spell is the most basic one yet it still works, even on poison.
The girls notice this as well.
'there's no doubt now, you have some special title that lets you bypass anything and directly heals the target' says the rogue.
'it even heals poison damage which the low and mid tier healing spells don't do' says the elf.
'that's why they wanted you to join the church and learn healing but you haven't gone above the basic spells yet'
'well it's harder than it seems, everyone is impatient, atleast I know why now'
'but if so they would have made you heal important people by now, that means you are still limited to the spell's potency, tara survived because he's naturally strong as well and is fighting the poison along with the healing on top of it'
They are correct but I don't have anything like a status viewing skill to make sure.
How do you even acquire something like that? is it just given at birth? that would explain her special healing.
I didn't get anything like that right? maybe I did however I just don't know it yet.

That aside I was impressed with them taking out the trolls, they aren't as weak as they think so why are they still D rank?
I draw the trolls and they get what I imply.
'that was because of teamwork, no rogue fights them head on'
'big targets are easy as well, especially with their movements restricted'
'we did well right, if we are talking about big and strong monsters then we can take on some golems now, elf hits them hard while I destroy their power source'
'eeh, I think it's too soon for that, we have no way of defending against their explosive attacks anyhow' chimes in the healer.

This seems like a good time so I imply a new member to join us, sensor and defense focused.
'new member huh, that seems good but I don't anyone trustworthy enough for that' ponders the rogue while the others agree.
'but it doesn't have to be a person, we can get another creature too'
'like?'
'most common ones for support are slimes and birds? golems work too.
'birds won't be good for defense, slimes that useful aren't easy to find or train, golems would be too heavy to keep up with us' says the elf.
'there is a way but..' says the rogue as she looks at the healer.

'a slave'

'we can't, how can you condone slavery? the more it spreads the more people lost their freedom as the slavers need to keep up with the demand'
'I know, I know but not all slavers are like that, most work with debts and punishments in place so they deserve to be enslaved or they go into slavery on purpose'
'you're right however there's still villages being destroyed and kidnappings happening'
'then crack down on the bad ones, the whole system doesn't need to be taken down'
'that won't stop the bad slavers if the system is still in place, it needs to be abolished so their profits are cut off and they no longer have profits to be made'
'yeah that's the main argument from the church but for now it's legal so shouldn't we use it? you can always save and buy the innocent ones while arresting the slavers'
'you make it sound easy'
'that's how it is, you need to back up your words or you lose all your impact'
The elf interrupts their discussion, 'you both have your points but adding a slave would ruin the team's efficiency and we can never truly trust any of them'
'then what do we do?'
'wait until someone good comes around, the team doesn't have to be perfect, even the top teams don't have everything covered'
I guess that's true, slavery will ruin my adventure right now, maybe if I was a human but now it's not the same since I am a spider.
'I can accept that but we still need to find someone soon, the biggest issue is protecting healer since she is useless otherwise' says the rogue.
'hey, that's not true, I can also learn some defensive skills'
'sure but it's going to take a while right? you aren't that proficient with the healing class or magic in general, warrior classes even less so'
'hmph'
And so we kept talking and eventually headed out.
Nothing went wrong as we were careful and we made it back to the city.
