Chapter 19:

A Look into the Future

Me doing whatever I felt like writing because I just thought it would be a fun idea.

Gary. Speak to me now. Who are you?

"I am none; I am all. I am that which haunts everything. I am The Bloodshot Man."

Bloodshot Man? An overly dramatic name if I've ever heard one. Gary's an alias isn't it?

"Perhaps it is. But it too could be a name of mine."

How so?

"Like Father Christmas has many names, so do I."

Then, Father Christmas—why are you doing this?

"I wish for a bored existence."

A bored existence doesn't mean to bring the apocalypse. What's in it for you?

"Galactik. Ever heard the name before?"

Never before.

"They made a deal with me. An offer I couldn't refuse. I am who I am because of that man. That thing. That God."

Hyperbole isn't an answer.

"Oh but the answer isn't hyperbole M, my dear."

Well who's this God of yours, different from mine?

"They're but the same kind."

You're saying there can be more than one God?

"Many more—oh so many."

How do you know then? Do you have the gift too?

"No, not at all."

Then how can you know for sure?

"Your eyes blind you. I'm not restricted by that."

Blind me? You call these eyes blinding? That of truthful divinity?

"Yes, yes I do. Stare up at the sun and you fail to see anything other than its light."

Then what are your eyes then?

"As I said before. I am The Bloodshot Man."

Can you see with eyes like that?

"I see but even more than that of a normal pair."

Delusions.

"I could say the same for you."

What are you planning?

"Where's the other M?"

What?
