Chapter 1

I feel lost. I studied an useless degree. People told me that hologramic design was a great and an easy career for me. I guess people took the tip and now it's oversaturated. I have no job and I go to the markets trying to sell them, nobody bought me anything in 6 hours. "I'm home" I drop everything feeling tired. "Hey, how much did you sell?" Lixie asks me "5" "Wow, that's great!" Lixie is a pureblood vampire and my mother. Lixie was a redhead and her tips were orange. She was a sassy sexy  woman and always embarrassed me.   "Anyways, your blood prescriptions came." Finally, I was bloodthirsty a this time. There were 10 packs of blood, 9 more than what half-vampires normally drink. "How that tastes? Let me take a si- wroahh, this tastes horrible." Of course, purebloods don't need to drink this. 

I finished and slept for the rest of the day. I woke up at 19, feeling tired. My mind felt dark and foggy, I wanted to sleep more but I needed to finish writing my 2nd mini album of my project, Afterglow. I drank coffee but at the end it was futile, I didn't wrote anything. Lixie opened the door and kept interrupting me time after time. It was like an obsession. "Hey, can you help me ordering these crystals? They are limited edition!"  I hate Lixie. If I had a job, I would get out of here as quick as possible. I ordered the item and started lecturing her. "Stop interrupting me, you are the reason why I don't go anywhere. You have hindered my success. You probably took something from me . We are both useless vampires..." 

I began crying and went outside running from home. I bumped into something heavy.  "Hey vampire, are you lost?" A familiar voice asked, like deja vu. "Have we met?" "I have never met a purplehead vampire in my life." she told me "I have been lost all my life, looking for something." "Life is just a big egg hunting game." the mysterious woman asked. She was huge and fit. I haven't seen somebody so big. She never says no or yes. "Hey, want to eat? It's my treat." We walked and ate at a fast food joint. "Yeah, give me three number 8 with three meats and extra sauce. As side, two  of them with hash browns and the other with mash potatoes. Be sure to include pancake syrup. To drink, water. Size large." How much food this woman will eat? I can only eat a burger with one meat and hash browns. I can't imagine her living in pre-pagan Europe. I was modest and ordered one burger with hash browns. The woman devoured the food in just 3 minutes, I haven't finished eating. "Oh, I forgot to tell you my name, I'm Athena Kaiserin from Germany. oh wait, but if I'm friends with crystal." The legendary Kaiserin family who saved the world  from the Marianites, well kind of. They started the movement. She looks so serious on videos I didn't imagined it was her. My other guardian Crystal plays guitar for her indie band. 

"Well, I think I stole you too much time." "No, no no no, I want to keep being with you." Athena insisted. We walked and Athena picked from people trash: books, parts and other things. She always brought a cart. I really enjoyed being with her. She was funny and intellectual, she spoke about history . "Go ahead and pick anything you like." Then I saw a Greek book history written in Spanish with the cover ripped. Athena's eyes bulged. "Do you want it?" "No no no, you can keep it." Now that I realize, Athena speaks Spanish. Before being a designer, I wanted to study languages but university was too much for me and quit. 

"Hey, ummm, I forgot to book an hotel, can I stay in your house?" "You are more than welcomed." We entered my house and I was shocked. It was dark and there was a noted: 

           "Dear Melody, I'm sorry everything I caused you all this time. I will be leaving and returning when I'm worthy of your success. I will giving you money every month. Goodbye."
