Birthday present

Days passed quickly and everyone was having fun. Soon the time came to go to Bosnia and Herzegovina where Josip and his family were originally from. Almost everyone left that place since the war but many come back in summer and on other religious holidays.

Kakashi's birthday is in a few days and he decided to spend it with his family. On his birthday his dad woke him up at dawn and said they should go for a walk, all four of them.

They went around the beautiful rebuilt village and saw many beauties of nature. They didn't need any water because there are pure ice-cold springs all over the place. As they walked past a few ruined houses on top of a hill into a forest road, Kakashi said:

"I feel something ominous here, why do I feel like that and where are you taking us?" (Kakashi alarmed)

"Don't worry, nothing happens during the day, but I will tell you everything when we get there." (Josip)

"Dad, are you taking us to a paranormal place? If any devils or demons appear I'll beat them up!" (Luka self-confidently)

"Luka, you don't have to do anything, just follow me." (Josip)

And they walked for some time and turned through some bushes to find a cave from which a small stream came and Josip then said :

"I will go check it out, you wait here, I'll call you." (Josip cautiously)

"OK honey." (Akemi trusting)

"Mom what are we doing here?" (Kakashi with an inquiry)

"I don't know honey, it's a first for me too, but I trust Josip." (Akemi)

"You can come now." (Josip from the cave)

"We're coming in." (Kakashi)

As they walked into the hillside cave, they were astonished by the sight. The top of the cave was open and surrounded by trees so there was light. In the back of the cave was a lake from which the stream came from, and all around the cave, there were paths and a few tables and chairs and some torn old shoes. Josip was in the lake already bathing.

"You really found a beautiful place and made it even more amazing dad." (Kakashi amazed)

"Oh, I didn't do anything. It was like this when I found it as a kid. Hop in, this water is special, it's even better than a hot spring. I'll tell you a story about this when we get back." (Josip)

"I'm already in." (Luka)

He was already running towards the lake in his underwear and jumped in without holding back.

"Brrrrrr, ttthis issssss cccolddd." (Luka shocked)

"Ahahahah, you will get used to it soon, don't worry." (Josip)

"Can I call Ivan here? Or does everyone already know?" (Kakashi questioning the place)

"Oh, please don't tell people, but I think Ivan can stay silent about this. He seems smart. You will understand everything when we talk. Now get in." (Josip)

"Alright, I'm coming in!" (Kakashi)

"This place really seem mysterious honey, this is the place we talked about isn't it?" (Akemi)

"Yes darling." (Josip)

They bathed for some time. At one moment it seemed like Josip was taking some samples of the water and hiding them in his pants, but no one thought anything of it.

When they got back to the house, they sat down and started talking.

"You see, that place where we were is a place where fairies as people here call them go to bathe." (Josip ominously)

"FAIRIES?!?!" (Kakashi and Luka) "Are you sure?"

"Yes, but I think they are actually fauns, so keep it down you two! When I was a kid, I went through the forest and found that place. As I peeked inside I saw a faun woman getting out of the lake. Take these as good luck charms. These bottles are also from clear obsidian, so it should be even more powerful… wa-whaat?!?!" (Josip shocked)

"Wh-what is this?!?!" (Kakashi, Luka and Akemi)

The 5 small bottles were glowing purple.

"Do you believe me now?" (Josip with a smug face)

"Wow, dad, what if we drink it?" (Luka being an experimentalist)

"Don't, it's a good luck charm, if you drink it it's bad Karma" (Kakashi)

"OK, I won't, but we need to analyze this." (Luka)

"We will when we get back to Japan." (Kakashi)

"OK." (Luka)

"Now, it's almost night, Luka, you can stay outside until 11 PM. Kakashi you do whatever you want. It's your birthday. Happy birthday, son!" (Josip)

"Happy B-day!" (Luka and Akemi happily)

"Alright dad, I'm going to get drunk!" (Kakashi with a smirk)

"Wait! Don't drink too much, and good luck." (Josip advising him)

"Okay, don't wait up for me." (Kakashi)

He went out and started drinking with Ivan and his other relatives. They had a lot of fun.

The girls stayed in Croatia, so we couldn't see Kakashi's red face.
