Poem: Glorious Skate (Winter Edition)

A lake has frozen over, a lake has frozen over!

It's time to be merry for the skating extravaganza of the century!

Live from the coldest place on Earth, we are here to present the One Mile of Ice!

All the top skaters are ready, 

With the hunger for gold and glory on the line, 

Whoever wins will become legends,

While the losers will leave as failures. 

And alongside them will be a downhill descent for the ages,

Where the best skiers and snowboarders in the world will partake in.

The motivation for gold and glory is tremendous,

Whether on ice or snow.

The countdown has begun,

With those on ice first.
