Chapter 1:

Alone

A.A. James-Hidden Poetry

By A.A. James

The winds blow through the cold night skies, ✦

The darkness blinds me in the eye, ✦

My heart is sad, and truly alone, ✦

For no one is there, to be my own, ✦

Am I alone for the days to come, ✦

For I am not one, with the moon and the sun, ✦

I am but a rock, on the face of the earth, ✦

I shall not move, walk, talk or birth ✦

This world is sad, so full of hatred, ✦

It’s sad to see the battles have not ended ✦

I’ve seen it before and I’ve seen it again, ✦

A constant war, which has no end, ✦

But I, a stone will not move, and bear it all, ✦

All alone. ✦
