Marching forwards and we are in a forest area, everything going smoothly since the earth dragons.
Suddenly I see a, centipede?
'those are Ferct centipedes' says the elf.
Apparently it's big, nowhere near as big as a human or even a dog but its atleast 10 times bigger than a normal earth centipede.
They are aggressive and even come after us, I don't like bugs but I don't feel that bad as my former human self about it especially since I am way bigger than them now.
A simple swipe and they die, many centipedes around now, I taste one since I am getting hungry.
It's not bad? is this my spider taste? I can pretty much eat anything right.
I swoop up the remaining ones and eat them too, ZAP
I am hit with an electric shock, it last for several seconds.
[paralyzes resistance] gained
Seems they cause paralyzes even when eaten, it hurts a bit but that's another skill acquired.

A forking pathway.
We choose the ones heading closer to the north.
Straight ahead and we get are slowly climbing a slope for the past couple of hours and we are now near a cliff, not that high but high enough.
I look down at the edge of the cliff and I see, centipedes.
Lots and lots of centipedes, I swarm of them all down there.
Ugh, so unsettling.
The entire region filled with them, we can only see centipede.
Starting to feel sick, the girls already looked away and want to get going.
Let's run, as I begin to run suddenly noise erupt from everywhere.

They are chasing us?!
The climbed the cliff and are heading here, I see many bigger ones too, man eating sized ones.
Um and that is? I see something else in there, what is it.
A giant centipede! It's bigger than me.
I shouldn't have looked! sorry!
It shoots poison and acid at the same time, I dodge and go faster.
Trees are being destroyed as it passes through, is its body even harder than the earth dragon we fought?
The animals in the are are engulfed in the sudden swarm, quick and violent death for all the other bugs and small animals.
All the big animals are dead or avoiding the place.
Running at full speed and the ferct centipede army is out of sight.
Keep running anyways.

Scary, let's take a break since I ran hard and they should be nowhere close now.
The girls on me need the rest too, they aren't used to going that fast.
Healer throws up but the others endure it.
Even though I am way stronger I don't think I would have survived against those numbers.
Strenght in numbers has never been clearer, they are weak alone but they have paralyzes and who knows what else which will overwhelm their target in those numbers.
Then they will eat you alive, ugh.
But there's nothing eating them? no predators feasting on those bugs.
Even with paralyzes they wouldn't be left alone when it's easy pickings to eat.
They must have gotten lucky and won against their predators or got a huge corpse which allowed them to spawn in those numbers which allowed them to overwhelm their predators which I doubt were faster than me.
Well, not my problem.
That will be the guild or nation's problem.

Actually is it not my problem? I want to be accepted and I want to be a hero, I can't let this go on right.
I stand no chance though, this isn't bravery it's just suicide with no chance of winning.
The girls notice me staring back in the distance where we came from.
'we can't beat that, well atleast for now, let's just report it and let the others come up with a plan' says the rogue.
'yes, they must have killed many adventurers and citizens as well, it was just a matter of time until it was discovered' says the elf.
'tara-kun, you are so kind, worried for others even with those scary bugs' says the healer as she consoles me.

'who knows, we might be part of the group that goes after them' continues the healer.
It could be possible, either way for now I want to sleep.
