Chapter 1:

Prologue

A Memory of Sorrow

The lonely sky of the night bore a shimmering halo known as the moon.

It illuminated on the grass

It illuminated the rivers.

It illuminated upon the tears of a dead woman.

It was a woman of elegance, almost angelic with a face that outshined even the beauty of stars. In her lovely hands, there was an infant girl wrapped in a bloodied blanket.

Blood of her own injury.

Was Caught in a battle that had nothing to do with her.

Her blood was on the hands of the wicked.

Her baby was born to be adored.

Yet there was no mother to dry her tears. No father to teach her right & wrong. No parents to read her stories and tuck her in.

A child all alone in this cruel world.

All alone in a grassy sea of sorrow.

A child caught in a rain of loneliness.

A honey skinned traveller, donning a white cloak, found her.

He was her shelter from the rain

A person to love.

A person to warm up her soul

The storm always passes. The sunshine will shine upon people in many ways they wouldn't expect.

Nobody can comprehend the movements of god's hand.

He picked her up gently with tears from his heart.

He buried the woman caught in a storm of arrows.

The stranger promised protection to her child.

This is the tale of that child.

A child who was born at dawn.

A child who died in mist.

A child who tore the veil of betrayal to rise like a phoenix.
