Zero-g training

Our team of heroes was orbiting the planet, playing games, and having fun with each other in zero gravity. Even though they can deactivate it for themselves with their powers they chose to instead float around and laugh at how everything is weird in zero gravity.

They got a message from Kage:

"There is an enemy approaching! They have very high tech ships, but this is only a reconning party with only 3 fighter grade ships and one Light Cruiser grade ship, be prepared to battle and don't lose your ship, since I don't believe you can withstand falling from outer space. It requires too fine control of your powers, and you have to always keep them applied." (Kage)

"Alright, Kage-sama, we will hide our ship behind the moon and wait somewhere further away." (Kakashi)

"It's better that way, the ships weapons couldn't do anything to these ships" (Kage)

"But how can we fight them without any weapons and with only our powers?" (Ivana)

"You will have to breakthrough, but I don't know how that will happen since you are first with that power." (Kage)

"So we will have to breakthrough since we can't use enough power to destroy a skyscraper, we will have to push through and expand our powers." (Okuma)

"So, when are they going to be here?" (Ivan)

"They are going to be here in three days" (Kage)

"So soon?!?! We just finished our fight with the bugs 2 days ago" (Petra)

"OK, we will be ready, but what are they?" (Kakashi)

"They are a reptilian race, but have 4 legs and 2 hands, that is all I am allowed to tell you." (Kage)

"Guys, we need to plan a bit before they arrive. What can we do to make this fight lean to our advantage?" (Kakashi)

"Ivan is best with the powers, can you teach us to use them better?" (Marina)

"Alright, I can teach, what do you want me to teach you?" (Ivan)

"Teach me how to fly around without using too much propulsion gas!" (Ivana)

"We should all learn that." (Petra)

"We should also all learn how to focus a laser beam from stars light into our weapon." (Okuma)

"Okuma has a point! Next three days we are all going to train in how to use our powers better." (Kakashi)

"Let's go train a bit now before dinner." (Ivan)

Our team of heroes went outside to train and to try and breakthrough as Kage said. Ivan first started teaching everyone how to easily move with less propulsion gas.

"You release the gas and use its own kinetic energy to turn it around and move you like a funnel, you will lose some gas, so you need to add a bit every once in a while." (Ivan)

"Oh, I think I'm getting the hang of it! It's like making something invisible, you just need to make it not stop around you, but to push you in the direction you need to go." (Kakashi)

"I think I'm understanding it a bit better too." (Petra)

"It's not that easy for me, and I am the one who asked to be taught that." (Ivana)

"I thought I won't learn it so fast, but I'm managing to go a few meters at a time." (Marina)

"Thanks for explaining it like that, Kakashi, I think I'm getting it!" (Okuma)

They kept training for an hour and a half and went to eat dinner. They still needed some time practicing, so they went out again and worked hard to learn it.

Only Kakashi and Ivan were already training in making a laser beam from the lights of surrounding stars, and they didn't make much progress in that field.

The next morning they woke up with the sun shining in the cockpit of their spaceship. Okuma was the first to wake up, and he went to wake up Kakashi first. He was suspended in a hammock much like a sleeping bag, so he doesn't bang around the room. Okuma had a different approach, as he tied his leg and foot to bars in the room. As Kakashi also woke up, they went to wake up Ivan. They entered the room and saw him sleeping soundly in his bed covered with a thin blanket, and it all seemed like gravity was still present in his room since he wasn't moving a millimetre.

"HOW THE HELL CAN YOU SLEEP LIKE THAT?!?! WHY AREN'T YOU FLOATING AROUND YOUR ROOM DUDE?! DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS THING CALLED ZERO GRAVITY??" (Kakashi)

in a calm, kinda whatever tone Okuma also said :

"Apparently in orbit, you get that."

"Good morning everyone." (Ivan said while floating out of his bed)

"What are you dude? How can you sleep in a bed in zero-g?? I don't understand you!" (Kakashi)

"I just increased the gravitational energy of this bed with this light." (Ivan)

He pointed at a light in his room.

"You are crazy." (Kakashi)

"I second that motion." (Okuma)

"Who cares, where are the girls?" (Ivan)

"Still sleeping." (Kakashi and Okuma)

"Let's go wake them up." (Ivan)

"OK, we need to train, today and tomorrow is all the time we get." (Kakashi)

The boys went to the girl's rooms, and as Ivan entered Marina's room he saw her also sleeping in the bed with a blanket over her.

"Wakey wakey." (Ivan)

He woke her up

"You also increased the gravitational energy of the bed, didn't you?" (Ivan)

"No, I got into the bed and covered myself with this blanket." (she said while uncovering) "And then placed the ends under the bed, the bed fastened the blanket on top of me and I couldn't float away. Didn't you read the manual of your room?"

"I'm a man! I need no manual! Wait, there was a manual??" (Ivan)

"Yes, it also tells you where is the hammock, where the closet is, and a lot more." (Marina)

"That asshole Kakashi read the manual!" (Ivan)

Kakashi went to wake up Petra, and Okuma went to Ivana's room.

Kakashi knocked on Petra's room door, and she woke up.

"Morning Kakashi, how are you this morning?" (Petra)

"Morning Petra, I'm doing great, how are you?" (Kakashi)

"I'm good, thanks" (Petra)

"Let's go eat breakfast.' (Kakashi)

Meanwhile, Okuma went to wake up Ivana.

Knock - Knock

The door opened from knocking.

"Are you also a prodigy like Ivan? How are you sleeping in the bed in zero-g?!" (Okuma)

"Ah, in the manual it says that the bed can fasten your blanket, so you don't fly off." (Ivana)

"Where did you find a manual?" (Okuma)

"It was in that drawer there" (Ivana showed a different coloured part on the wall with a handle)

"Why did I tie my leg and foot to different sides of the room every night?" (Okuma)

He seemed really sad and Ivana stood up and touched his chest and started singing.

"I can teach you what you want." (Ivana)

"That was an NCS reference? Wasn't it?" (Okuma)

"Yeah, I'm going to cook you breakfast since you guessed it right!" (Ivana)

"Amazing, I really like them too!" (Okuma)

They all went and ate breakfast, exchanged a few words between themselves, and went out to train.

"Hey Kakashi, did you read the manual of your room?" (Ivan and Okuma)

"No, I just happen to find the box where the hammock was." (Kakashi)

"You could've told me where it is, I didn't have to sleep like that!" (Okuma)

"Hahahahahah I just found it yesterday. I slept the same way you did." (Kakashi)

They were all training in how to fly around without using too much of the propulsion gas and gradually moved to train how to make a laser beam from all the stars surrounding them.

By dinner, only Ivana was still perfecting her flying in zero-g. After dinner, she also joined everyone on how to make laser beams.

"So you use mirrors and focus light in between them, then you direct the light in the small hole in the middle." (Ivan)

"I think I did it!" (Ivana)

"WAIT, WHAT?!?!" (Kakashi)
