Epilogue

—The next day…

With the whole commotion of Jae, Ivan had been distracted from the fact that Valentines Day was coming up. At this point he had no reason to care about that. All he was worried about was Jae.

“Oh, you’re already back.”

“Y-Yeah,” Ivan answered as he came back from work.

“I was doing some research and found that today was a special day, I think?”

“Special?”

He thought about it before realized she probably meant Valentines Day. If she did mean that then his mind was more scattered than he’d originally thought it was.

“I also read that you’re supposed to give your friends or significant other’s chocolate, but I don’t think that I can do that for you…” she awkwardly laughed.

I guess the Tsundere nature never stuck, Ivan thought.

“I-It’s fine, I don’t need chocolate.”

You being here is enough, he wanted to say, but those words never came out.

“I’ll make it up to you eventually…I don’t really know how though” She crossed her arms and tapped her foot.

He smiled.

The journey for the two of them was just beginning. Their friendship was an odd one, maybe even one that hadn’t been had before. Either way, from here on, Ivan’s day’s were going to be much more different than they had his entire life.

Together they just might be able to help each other grow.
