Chapter 5: Switched

When I woke up, I already felt that something was weird. As I looked at by my side, I saw Nee-chee on my right side and Shinsui on my left side. What’s happening? Did they happen to sit on Ken and Ace’s seats?

“Hey, what are you doing here?”

I asked them.

“Oh! So you’re awake?”

Shinsui asked sweetly.

“I lost my pen. Have you seen it?”

Nee-chee asked me.

I wondered what kind of pen he was using.

“I haven’t seen it! So go and scatter! Don’t bother me while I’m still sleeping, you useless neanderthal!”

I said.

“What’s with you? You speak exactly like Jen today! Did she influence you or something, Jairo?”

Nee-chee exclaimed.

WHAT THE! 

When he said that, I automatically arose from sleep.

“What’re you talking about? I’m Jen!”

I replied to him. 

“Did you hit your head? You’re Jairo!”

Nee-chee fought back. 

What the! What the hell's happening here? I found my body sleeping on my chair. Oh my goodness!

I looked at the mirror and found a very terrifying situation. My face has turned into that bastard’s (Jairo) face. No, I turned into him? How is this possible?

“What happened!”

I asked myself. 

Was it also possible that the bastard was inside my body? I came to check if my intuition was right. I shoved my body. I mean, my real body sleeping on my own chair.

“Hey! Wake up!”

I shook my body so hard. 

“What?”

When he opened his eyes using my body, he was also shocked as he stood real quick.

“Wha—! What happened?”

He looked at the mirror.

“Do you have any idea about this?”

I asked.

“I don’t have any clue. Are you possibly on my body, Jen?”

He asked.

“ISN’T THAT TOO OBVIOUS ALREADY?”

I exclaimed. 

“Could it possibly—?”

Then it occured to him. 

“I believe it’s the work of that lotus pad.”

I said.

“We’re the ones who only touched it.”

I added.

“This is a problem. So what are we gonna do now?”

He asked. He was obviously panicking.

“Stop that, bastard. It’s awkward to see myself panicking.”

I pinched my own body. I'm sorry. 

“YOU WANNA FIGHT?”

Since it was my body that he was using, alright!

“More important than that, we can’t possibly tell everyone about this!”

I strongly said. 

“Huh?”

He reacted.

“That’s because... if they happen to find out about this...”

I had a very bad feeling.

A scenario in my imagination.

“HAHAHA! So you turned into Jairo, Jen! And you, Jairo, into Jen! That’s great! Stay like that forever!”

I could imagine Nee-chee’s annoying face that was making fun of us. I really hate that! 

“You guys should accept the fact that you’ll going to marry each other. Haha!”

I’ll totally smash that face of Shinsui if he said that.

“Hmm. In the meantime, let us ask Hashimaru about it.”

And I had a feeling that Nitsuji will say this.

“BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. UHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. TAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA. MWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

I could already imagine Hashimaru laughing out loud like there’s no tomorrow.

That's the end of my imagination and I don't want any of that to happen. Seriously! 

“Let us solve this on our own!”

I resolved myself.

“Are you serious?”

He asked. 

“IN THE FIRST PLACE, IT’S YOUR FAULT! I AM SERIOUSLY NOT HAVING THIS KIND OF COMEDY SKETCH JUST BECAUSE YOU MADE ME HOLD THAT LOTUS PAD!”

I yelled at the bastard... err, at myself.

“Jairo, are you really alright? You seemed out of the world lately and now you’re imagining that you’re Jen!”

Shinsui was worried. We're lucky they're not that observant. 

“I’m okay.”

I replied. I need to act like the bastard.

“Guys, are you aware? We’re going to have swimming lessons today with Sir Apple!”

Alliyah said.

Why? Why? 

“Really? That’s great!”

Ken exclaimed. She seemed so happy. 

Oh crap! 

When I heard that, I looked at the bastard. I mean, at myself, since he has my body!

“Jen, let’s go get changed!”

Shy said.

“Did you bring your swimwear?”

Ace asked. They're pushing my body. Hey! That's Jairo inside. Don't! 

“Ah—!”

The bastard was supposed to say that but I intervened. Well, my honor was already on the line!

“She’s not going to swim today. She’s still injured. I’ll talk to Sir Apple.”

I said.

“Jairo? You’re that worried about Jen?”

Shinsui looked at us like "Oh? What's happening now?" 

“You’re not going right, Jen?”

I looked at the bastard’s face, I mean my face, and I saw his expression saying that “YOU JUST DON’T WANT ME TO TOUCH YOUR BODY, DO YOU? YOU THINK I’LL DO THAT? YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE ANY SEX APPEAL!” I could see these lines through his expression.

I was totally pissed. Honestly, he's been getting to my nerves lately. 

“Well, Jairo’s right. Jen’s still injured so I guess it’s okay.”

Nitsuji explained.

“You have a point. Well then, you need to take a rest, Jen.”

Ace said.

When they left, I exploded. 

“WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING? IF I DIDN’T SPEAK UP THAT MOMENT, YOU’LL HAVE TO PUT MY POOR INJURED BODY INTO A REAL SAVAGE!”

I yelled at Jairo for not using my body with care! Care! Care! 

“Liar! You just didn’t want me to see your naked body.”

He said calmly.

“What the—! You really want to die today, don't you?”

I started arguing with him.

“Admit it, Jen!”

He said that using my own voice.

“WHAT DID YOU SAY, YOU BASTARD!”

He grabbed my collar, I mean his own collar. And after that, he looked at my face closely, I mean his own face.

“Now that I can see myself. Jairo Kyuen is really handsome.”

He said that while using my own voice, my own face, and my own expression. I’ll kill him! I am so embarrassed! 

I grabbed his collar, I mean my collar. Since we switched, remember? And I fell on him that time. I must've lost my mind because of anger. 

“Hey! Get off me. You’re too heavy!”

He said angrily.

“It’s your damn body, bastard!”

I exclaimed.

It was then that one of our classmates, Joshua who has a crush on Ace, came and had seen that scene where I am on the top of Jairo but because we switched, the scene in Joshua’s eyes was this: Jairo is on the top of Jen.

“What’re you two doing? It’s still broad daylight to do things like that, don’t you think?”

He said with a very alarming face.

“No! It’s not what you think!”

I, in the bastard’s body, explained.

“It’s my first time seeing you around alone with a guy, Jenivive.”

He said that while facing the bastard, in my body.

“Really? Well, be used to that already.”

The bastard, in my body, replied.

I'm having internal conflict. I might die because of being so angry. 

WHAT ARE YOU SAYING TO HIM! DON’T USE MY BODY WITH YOUR SELFISH COMMENTS!

“Well, I’ll go then. You can now continue what you are doing.”

Joshua said. What the—!

“It’s okay. We’ll just do it later.”

Jairo replied using my body. WHAT THE—!

I think I just had a volcanic eruption in my mind. 

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING! THAT’S MY BODY, DAMN IT!”

I yelled at him. You just wanted to do everything you want, don't you? 

“Yeah. It’s your body.”

He said with that poker face. 

“You’re just saying things that come into mind, aren’t you? Give me back my honor!”

“You’re so noisy. Shut up!”

He said. 

“What did you say?”

I was so pissed! We were arguing for hours straight! 

“Don’t worry, I will take good care of your body.”

The bastard, in my body, said. He unexpectedly touched my body’s chest.

“Ah, you have fine mountains here on your chest.”

He said with a very excruciating expression.

“STOP TOUCHING MY BODY CASUALLY, YOU PERVERTED BASTARD!”

I might kill him after returning back to my body. 

“Why don’t we just ask Hashimaru about it?”

He suggested.

YEAH, SO HE’LL TREAT US LIKE CIRCUS CLOWNS!

“Let us settle these ourselves!”

I said.

“I’ll think of a way. In the meantime just don’t speak. Okay, bastard?”

I added.

Not so later than that, the ceiling of the room opened and a huge box swallowed us in.

When we reached the surface, Hashimaru's face popped out. 

“Damn, Hashimaru!”

I said.

“You guys are complete now!”

He said jokingly.

“HOW DARE YOU KIDNAPPED US WHILE WE’RE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF CHANGING?!”

Ken yelled at him.

“I’m glad we finished changing just on time.”

Shy angrily looked at Hashimaru. 

Hashimaru’s the scummiest of the scum!

“I have your new mission right now.”

He said. 

“What? One after the other? Give us a break!”

Nee-chee said.

“Stop whining, agents!”

Hashimaru said seriously.

“So, you’re starting to be serious now?”

Ace asked.

“I’m always serious.”

He said that while licking a big lollipop. Was he supposed to be a kid in his age?

“Eh? What’s wrong, Jen? You seemed tight-lipped right now? You got a problem?”

Hashimaru asked the bastard, in my body.

“Do I need to speak for you to feel my presence?”

Damn that bastard! I just told him not to speak! Deaf?

“Whoa, Jen. You feel different today! Haha!”

Hashimaru laughed.

“By the way, this is your mission.”
