Chapter 10: Welcome, Shiru

“Jen, are you okay now? You want something?” Ace asked.

“Sorry, I was out for how many days?” I asked them. I must'v been a trouble for them.

“2 days.” Ken said.

“Oh? That long? Sorry, I must have been a trouble for you guys.” I said while touching my head. I still felt a little bit dizzy.

“Jen, do you know who I am? Can you still remember me? Is your head still intact? You didn’t forget us, right?” Nee-chee asked continuously.

“Did you honestly think I could forget your irritating pest face, Nee-chee?” He was annoying but he's worried too. I must love teasing Nee-chee so much.

“Thank goodness! It’s Jen! The real!”I was pissed at him, but to think that they’re really worried about me... made me want to smile.

It was then the others came inside the room.

“Jen! You're awake! Thank goodness you're alright!” Shy just hugged me when she saw me.

“I’m alright. I’m alright. You can let go now, Shy.” She's suffocating me.

“I... I... I...” She can't say anything because she’s crying.

“She was so worried about you. She didn’t sleep last night.” Nitsuji explained in Shy’s place.

“Really? Sorry for the trouble.” I said.

“Jen, did your parents ever think of you? It’s not like I’m criticizing them, but shouldn’t they supposed to be around here especially that you’re seriously wounded?” Shinsui asked.

“I don’t have a family. I grew up in an orphanage.” I said. 

After that, everyone seemed so shocked and quiet at the same time. Sorry that I didn’t mention it way back before. It’s just that I don’t want to remember those.

“Oh, sorry.” Shinsui apologized.

“There’s no need to apologize.” I said.

Yes, I was always alone before. Maybe that’s the reason why I ended up being a cold-blooded girl.

“So that’s the reason why you’re so emotionles—!” Nee-chee was cut off because Ken clobbered him for good.

“SHUT UP, NEE-CHEE!” Ken yelled at him.

“Sorry.” Nee-chee backed off with a puppy face. How cute, well let’s leave that aside.

“Now that you mention that, it makes sense.” Shinsui said.

“You’re a scholar of the school, right? That's already a clue.” Shinsui added.

“So, how are we going to cover your eyes, Jen?” Ken asked. 

About that, how can I hide this?

It was then that Hashimaru came in.

“So you’re awake, Jen.” Hashimaru said.

“DON'T ASK THE OBVIOUS ALREADY!” Gosh, these guys didn’t know when to quit it!

“Haha! That’s good, Jen!” He laughingly said.

“I have here your best friend with me.” Hashimaru showed Shiru to everyone.

“BEST FRIEND?”

Everyone was shocked.

“You have a best friend, Jen?” I've seen their epic faces. They must've thought that I was an anti-social girl all this time. 

“DON”T ASK THE OBVIOUS ALREADY!” It’s irritating. I replied. 

You made me repeat it already!

“Greetings, everyone. I’m Shiru Shun Kawabe. I am obviously a ninja. I’m Jen’s childhood friend and best friend. Nice to meet you.” He introduced himself.

“Whoa! He’s handsome, Jen! Is he your boyfriend?” Shy asked.

“No freaking way!” I said.

“Heard that, Jairo? She said ‘No freaking way’ with a poker face. That means, you still have a chance!” Nee-chee whispered to Jairo. Hey, was that really supposed to be a whisper? I could hear all of it. Stupid Nee-chee!

“Jairo and I are only friends. Don’t make something out of nothing.” I said to Nee-chee. Everyone seemed so dumbstruck when I said that.

“What?” I asked.

“YOU JUST CALLED JAIRO BY HIS NAME?! SINCE WHEN? You always say ‘that bastard’ to him, so why?” Shinsui asked.

“I just changed it so wipe that proud face of yours off your face. You’re creeping me out.” I answered. 

“So why are you still here, Shiru? You can go now.” I asked him.

“COULD YOU AT LEAST LET HIM SAY SOMETHING TO YOU BEFORE YOU DRIVE HIM OUT, JEN?” Everyone said.

“I want to see you.” Shiru replied.

Everyone went ~~BADUMP! BADUMP!

And I didn’t know why.

“Ohh! So good to be young and handsome. When I was your age, I’m just like Nitsuji.” Hashimaru butted in the conversation.

“ACTUALLY, WE DIDN’T ASK YOU!” Everyone said.

“You were out for two days so I made an excuse letter for you. Don’t worry, Jen. You can take a rest for a while.” Hashimaru added.

“So I missed classes that worth 2 days? I’m fine already so I can attend right?” I asked them.

“Are you sure about that, Jen?” Shy asked.

“Yup.” I said.

“So you’re already fine, Jenivive?” Miss Peanuts, our math teacher, said.

The university teachers were named after fruits and veggies. Isn’t that weird? By the way, our adviser’s name is Mrs. Lettuce.

“Yes, ma’am. I’m really sorry.”

“It’s okay. Mr. Koshiro said so himself.” Eh? Mr. Koshiro? Who the hell is that? It was then that the school bell rang, and someone on a suit came in inside the classroom.

“Haha! Hello, students!” It’s Hashimaru.

“Wha—! It’s Hashimaru!” Shy reacted.

“Good morning, Sir Koshiro. What brings you here?” Miss Peanuts asked.

“You are looking gorgeous today, Miss Peanuts. Your beauty is like a sunshine.”

“Aw. You’re so considerate, Sir.” The poor old maid blushed.

Ah, so that’s how he managed to excuse me in the class for 2 days. Knowing that was not very pleasing. A total creep! Ahem, there are students here by the way. Shouldn’t they do that on public?

“Haha, I’m here today to introduce your new classmate!” Hashimaru said.

“New classmate?” All of us were dumbfounded. “It’s almost a semester already right?”

“Kya! He’s so handsome!” Everyone reacted.

It was then that a guy came in with the university’s uniform, ID, and books. And guess what? His face looked exactly like Shiru. You're kidding, right?

“My name’s Shiru Shun Kawabe. Pleased to meet you.” He introduced himself. WAAAAAA—! IT REALLY WAS SHIRU! WHAT THE HECK!

“Hey, Jen. Isn’t that—?” Ace asked me.

I have a really bad feeling about this.

“Oh my! Jen froze!” Ken said.

“Good morning. I’m Alliyah Rutherford. I’m the class president of this section. Pleased to meet you. If you have any questions regarding the university, please feel free to ask me.” Alliyah explained.

“Thank you.” Shiru replied.

“Hello, Shiru. I’m Caitlyn.” The girls were circling around him trying to introduce themselves.

“And I’m Stacey.” The girls went to him.

“Girls, I would be able to appreciate it if you call me Shun.” He said smilingly.

“Okaaaaaaaaaay~!” Poor things. 

“Shun, do you have someone you know here in this section?” Alliyah asked.

“Yes.” It was then that Shiru looked at me, smiled, and called... 

“JEEEEEEE~N! I’M HERE!” He waved at me.

“Pretend you don’t know him.” I said to myself.

“You know Jenivive? Whoa, that’s rare.” Alliyah asked.

“Yeah, we grew up together.” Shiru said sweetly.

Everyone turned black when they heard that.

“Ah, Shun? What’s your relationship with Jenivive?” Caitlyn asked.

“She’s my fiancée.” He said.

WHAT THE F—! THE UNIVERSITY HAS BEEN STRUCK BY LIGHTNING!

“What!" I reacted.

“Jen, it’s horrible. He just—!” Ken was about to say that, but when she looked at me. She turned black.

“I'll kill you ten times, SHIRU!” Ken and Nee-chee were really scared.

“Jenivive is dating Jairo! How is that possible?” Phoebe and others asked him.

“Ah, Jairo’s just a stalker of Jen. She’s mine in the first place.” Shiru smiled and smirked at Jairo.

When I looked at Jairo, he seemed to be burning up with anger.

“Wait! Is this true, Jen?” Skipper and others asked.

“It's obviously not true! Ask me that again and I'll burn you all alive!” Everyone distanced from me.

It was then that Shiru kissed me on the cheek. What the hell!

“Calm down, Jen.” He said after he stole a kiss from me.

I was frozen solid.

“So ma’am? Can I seat beside Jen?” Shiru asked Miss Peanuts.

“O... okay.” She hesitatingly approved.

“J... J... Jen. Are you alright?” Shy stutteringly asked.

“This is so interesting.” Ace smirked.

“Jairo, calm down. You’re scary. I can already feel you blood lust.” Nee-chee said to Jairo.

What the heck is happening to those guys? Well, whatever.
