Chapter 7:

The Sister In Question

My Life Is Already Bad...I Don't Need A Cat-Girl Making It Worse!!

“What are you doing here?” I asked.

Delia frowned as she scanned me with her eyes. She forcibly pointed at me before saying, “Somethings up with you!”

I must’ve looked like an idiot with my mouth slightly opened and squinted eyes, but I genuinely had no idea what she was getting at. Not only did that not answer my question, but the conversation had turned to me.

Delia was the one I had messaged earlier. I asked her to bring the old cat toys we had stored in the house, but I did specify to bring them tomorrow. Why she was bringing them today was beyond me.

Almost as if reading my mind, she said, “If you wanted something, you would’ve wanted it today. Especially if it was something as simple as this,” she shoved the bag of toys towards me, “That means…” she jabbed her finger towards my face, “You have a girl over!”

“Well…yeah, I guess I do,” I scratched my head, “But I only said that because you guys are like an hour and a half from here…”

Had she really made that entire trip just to catch me with a girl? I was a twenty-year-old man, I could have a girl over whenever I pleased. I didn’t need to hide that fact or give an excuse to it, especially if it’s just a friend.

“So you are doing indecent things!” she squirmed away from me like I was a disease.

“If only…” the words tumbled out of my mouth, pitying my virgin self. I had lost my chance at being with someone in high school, and I hadn’t met anyone I wanted to be with in college either. I guess being a wizard wouldn’t be all too bad…

“You disgust me,” she winced.

“I’m literally doing nothing.” I sighed. “Anyway, if that’s all you wanted, you can go now.” I started to close the door, but she stopped it with her foot.

“No, I’m going to meet this girl,” she huffed, storming into my apartment.

“Be my guest.”

I wasn’t planning on hiding Nisa from my family so that wouldn’t be an issue. As for Ritsue, well, she was just a friend so that didn’t matter too much.

“W-W-Wha—?” she stammered.

Nisa flattened her cat ears and hid behind Ritsue the moment Delia popped into the living room.

“I-I-Indecent…” she whispered. She turned to me with wide eyes and blushed face. “You’re making them feed into your disgusting fetishes!?”

I sighed, but before I could say anything, I noticed Ritsue pull out, from seemingly nowhere, a pair of cat ears. She quickly put them on her head and posed herself in a feline way.

“I-Is that enough master?” she said solemnly while licking the back of her hand.

I guess we’re doing this…

“Yep. They’re both here every day doing as I please.” I walked over to them and placed a hand on each of their heads. Nisa, again, pushed her head into my hand. That was either going to make the bit more believable, or it was digging me a deeper grave—probably both.

I was all about a good bit. Especially if I could tease my sister while I was at it. The morality about this one was questionable, but Ritsue had started it so I could just pin the blame on her.

My sister opened and closed her mouth a few times but words never came out.

“Bob!” I called out.

Yes, Nick?” the little Robot rolled out of the kitchen.

My sister became doubly shocked and doubly incapable of even moving a muscle.

“Can you bring some cat ears for my sister here?”

Yes, sir.

“W-W—N-No,” she let out, “My brother is a pervert and a siscon!” she yelled as she dashed towards the front door.

I sighed as I ordered bob to stop her.

Delia rocked back and forth on my sofa as she tried to process everything that had happened to me in the last few days.

You see. That’s what I was expecting from you.” Bob pointed his claw hands towards her.

“I’m sorry for being such a disappointment,” I sarcastically said.

Nisa was still not certain what to think about Delia. She was slowly making her way towards my sister, one small step followed by another.

Her nose twitched as she sniffed from a distance.

“Are you going to calm down anytime soon?” I asked Delia who wasn’t even looking at us. She stared at the floorboards like she had seen a ghost.

Should I do something about this?

Can you do something?”

Bob nodded as he rolled up to her. He opened his chest and rummaged through it. He pulled out his hand which had been replaced with a barrel of some kind and aimed it at her. A gas sprayed directly to her face with a low hiss.

In a matter of seconds, she collapsed on the couch.

“And that was…”

It’s a sleeping agent we use to—actually…

“I swear, if I hear you say it’s classified one more time, I will stuff you in the microwave.”

That doesn’t sound safe.

I walked to my sleeping sister and picked her up. Her body was about as light as Nisa’s. That’s when it hit me—

“Ah—”

The reason why I had confused Nisa as a high schooler was because of Delia. She was about as small as Nisa was, the only difference was that Delia was a high schooler. I guess she reminded me of my sister so much that I confused them in that way.

If she were awake, I had no doubt I would’ve been slapped square across the face for even thinking about the fact she was short.

I let her rest in my room and hoped for her to be calmer after she woke up.

Delia creaked her eyes open. She yawned as she recalled the weird dream she had.

She had visited her brother’s apartment to drop by some cat toys for some reason. There she found him with two girls, one of them being a cat girl, and a robot thing. Whatever that whole situation was, she was thankful it was all a dream…

“Are you good now?”

“Huh?!”

She kicked away from the voice in her room. Without hesitation, she grabbed the pillow and tossed it towards whoever talked.

“Hey, calm down!”

“What are you doing in my room?!” She couldn’t see who was talking because of how dark it was, but she felt like she recognized that voice.

“What are you talking about?”

The light turned on.

“…N-Nick?”

Suddenly everything began flowing back into her mind.

“So it wasn’t a dream,” she hung her head.

“Is it really that shocking?” Nick laughed as he placed a hand on her head, just like he’d always done when they were younger.

“It’s weird.”

“Well, I can’t say I disagree with you there. Just hope you don’t meet Hitoshi,” he said the last part under his breath.

Delia didn’t want to ask. If whoever that was would only make the situation weirder, it was probably in her best interest to not know about them.

“I guess he already knows about you though…”

Her eyes snapped open. “What?!”

Before she could process what she’d just heard, off into the distance, a loud bang rattled the apartment. It sounded like the front door had been slammed open.

A voice Delia didn’t recognize yelled, “Yo Nick, where you at! I heard you got your sister over!”

She felt her body shake. Was that the Hitoshi he was talking about?

Her brother simply sighed.
