Mindscape V2{[(†)]} denotes changes

The world goes black. I wake up lying in grass that seems vaguely familiar. I roll over and see Tohru, laying with her eyes closed, unmoving. "Tohru! Wake up!"

She doesn't stir, so I shake her. Tears well up in my eyes. "Tohru…no…"

No! I refuse to let her die! I lay my ear on her chest and am relieved to find that she's still breathing, and her heart's still strong. I sob into her ample cleavage. Thank god!

She shifts. I don't know what's happening until I feel a sharp pain in the shape of a hand on my cheek. She slapped me!

When I don't move, she hits me again, but from the other side. Okay! I'm going!

I sit up. "Pervert." She says.

I'm so relieved that she's alive that I rebury my face and start sobbing, but this time I hug her, too. Jeez, you're such a fucking perv!

Then, she realizes that I'm sobbing. Oh…

I pull away. "I'm just happy that you're not dead. You do realize you could have just told me to move, either orally or mentally, right?"

"Sorry," She says sheepishly.

"It's okay."

"Where are we?" She asks.

I hear a helicopter nearby, but still a ways away. I look around and blanch. "What…" She says.

"I know where we are…"

"You're killin' me smalls!"

I laugh, since she's only, like, three inches taller than me. "You watched The Sandlot!?"

"Yes, and you're still killin' me."

{[(†)]}"The scene of my death."

I point at the helicopter. Since I'm outside, I hear the Bang! as the rotor breaks. Past me runs out of the house. When memory-me's pentagram appears, Tohru says, "Sorry I called you demon-spawn…"

"It's okay…sorry I snapped."

{[(†)]} Tohru watches the rest of my death play out in shocked silence. Everything is normal at first, then things start to get weird.
