Chapter 1:

The Beginning And End Of Everything

Dante's Revelation

Long ago, a celestial being with immeasurable power became bored, as there was nothing to do but stare at the darkness. So, he decided to remove his heart from his chest and split it into two. From the other half of his heart, he created a being as powerful as himself.

"You have been created from my very own heart," he said. "Finally, a being as powerful as I. From henceforth, you shall be called Eve, for I am Adam, and together we will oversee the beginning and the end of everything."

From then on, Adam was no longer bored, for he had Eve. However, as time passed, Adam grew bored once more. This time, Eve decided to make a bet with Adam.

"We both have grown tired, for we have seen what was and is to come," she said. "Boredom is the burden that comes with this great power we have. So, how about a bet, Adam? Let us create two beings with fates that we do not know, and give them a fraction of our power to do as they see fit. We will bestow the title of God onto them, and they will rule the worlds they create or destroy. The wager is simple: whoever's God kills the other first wins."

Adam agreed to this cosmic bet, and with that, Adam and Eve created their Gods.

Adam took the tip of his horn, crushed it, and blew it into the nearest sun. There, out of the sun's core, emerged a being with a fraction of Adam's power; he was named Jho-se Vah. Eve placed a dwarf star on her left hand and put a strand of her hair on top of it. As the hair burned, the star began burning even brighter, giving off a sharp, blinding white light. When the light disappeared, there was a being with a fraction of Eve's power; he was named Harja.
