Baby Elephant

Dr. Khan informs the nurse, "... cancel all my appointments today, I am gonna spend rest of my day with my nephew and where that moron?.. " .. "who Mr.Rajat? he went to the bathroom. ..." .. . "do me a favor and tell him to go fuck himself.. and stay away from this matter, i will get the court order if needed ...."

They both ended up at a coffee shop owned by a friend of Dr. Khan. Finally, Ishan has calmed his nerves down.. "Feeling okk? .." .. "yes.." "does the ice-cream taste good? ... " .. "hmm... *nods his head*", "who are you living with currently?" .... kid's mood changed, his eyes looked like they were burning in revenge..."....murderers.. "

" .. not gonna try again..? " .. "nah, he always does that, he can't trust humans so.. he will call me with pseudo number ..." ... kid is amused by her answer.. the phone rings.... .
" see ... its says the number is from Canada this time ... .... Hello .. can you help me get the court orders  for custody of child named Ishan kumar... don't ask why? can you do it.. ...ok .. then that would be, the kid lost the trust in their uncle and aunt, kid thinks they killed his parents ..." ... kid interrupts.. "THAT'S the truth!! not my imagination... "
...Dr. continues on phone " ya he is here ... really? now?.." ... She handovers the phone to Ishan .. " hello... " ..." listen kid.. .she is just telling me the reason to ask the judge that you can't live with your remaining family, to transfer the custody.. you  ... uhh... what you call itt... uhh, ha yes .. manipulate the people's psychology in-order to benefit our goals,... Dr. snatches the phone from Ishan and yells " I TOLD you NOT to CALL me THAT, .... ya you should be .... .really? .... when? need address? ... ok and stop stalking me ..... .whatever... bye..."... Ishan curiously ask ,"So... " Dr. Khan grins " someone is curious hmmmmm?" ... "stop that!!".... "ok ok ok... he is actually coming here and will be helping us... with almost all the things which we don't understand... " ...smiles "really? he can do that?..."
... "that guy is someone who could flip the world upside down.. if he is motivated enough to do that.." .... "really ? but how?.. "....

"So... about that story you were tell me in the office.. shall we continue here..?.. " ... "can't we go somewhere private... " ... " ok lets go to my home.. but first lets drop by the  District Collector's office... " ... "collector? what he has to do with our problem.... " .. "he is the one to hand me over some legal documents to let to stay at my house, if your relatives try to create any ruckus .." ... "ok, lets go then.... They both reaches the doctor's house where police were waiting for them, but a small chat with the collector, showing the paperwork. They entered the house. "its not as big as yours, but it does the work for me..." ... "no... its pretty good, its clean none the less...." "Anything you would like to eat for dinner?... " ... " Normal food, nothing special and bitter " ... "Then ladyfinger and roti it is.." ....

"My mom's brother and sister and their entire family.." ...Dr. drops the knife from the shivering hands and nervously peeks into the living area, the kid, smiles in a psychotic way while answering to her questions.

Dr. nervously laughs and tries to change the topic, "Since we are going to live here for sometime? tell me what do you like ... any tv shows, cartoons.. books???" ... ."Not a tv person... which books do you have ? any good novels?" ...
"Novel? who are you? a 12 year old or an old granny in a library? .." .... " if you don't like books that's not my fault.." ... " .. don't get so edgy over some books.. i have some novels but will that be fine to give it to a young kid... tell me which books have you read?? "....
".. .Silence of the lambs by i guess something haris ... ".... "oh !! wow! you never stop to surprise me! the shelf is yours... .knock your shelf out.." ... Ishan walk towards the bookshelf, pick up a random book and asks ... "hey is 50 shades of grey any good??? its by E. L. James.. ."... Razia rushes towards the kid , screaming "NO!!! WAITTT!! " .... Ishan gets scared by her sudden reaction " wwaaiiit whaaat happen?" .... rolls her eye "lets say, its not suitable for kids  at your age.. " ... "But... " " NO further questions, take this and read" .. .handovers the book titled the Daughter of time by Josephine Tey ... " is this good?.. " ..."I don't know the guy you talked on the phone at the cafe owns this,.. he has a wired taste but not in sense that will be considered as an adult novel.."

While having the dinner, Dr. causally asks "what was the answer to that question your father asked about the if both conditions meet..." ... kid reply's in relief "the answer i gave was.... they both win either way..." ..." and how exactly? is that",..., "if the lion kills the elephant, lion wins. Elephants dies so, baby elephant lives so mama elephant wins and if elephant kills lion, lion dies which was going to happen either way if he fought or not, lions desperation kills him so that its end and elephant wins because it could stay with the baby elephant" ... with the teared eyes " but now i can say, the answer was wrong..." ... "why ?" .... "its not about who are fighting... its more about what happens to their surrounding ... i don't know the correct answer now but...... *sighs* when the elephant died, the baby elephant loses the desire to live too, so did the elephant win anything in the first place?"
