Chapter 2:

The 2nd Step: A Fated Encounter

My Life in 4 Words

Upon arriving at the gates, I felt better already.
Much better, actually.
Nice wheather always puts one in good spirits, that's kind of a law.
Be it the fresh spring winds or the blessing of the sun shining upon me, or well...the campus.
The sun never shines upon one person, "no man is an island", it always brightens everything equally when in it's reach.

But when I first saw her...

It seemed as if the sun, no the entire universe revolved around her. As if the light solely shone upon her. It was the first time she changed my whole perspective on something. She was shining even brighter than the sun. It was so bright it would hurt my eyes, but I still couldn't look away.

There she was. I didn't know her. And certainly not this feeling in my chest, I would get all too familiar with in the future.

Standing beside our all beloved fountain on the campus' front area. The wind carried her hair, gently, as the water drops created a magical flair around her. The light reflected off the little water splashes "perfectly".
A word I rarely use.

It may have been love at first sight, but at this time, I didn't know what love truely meant.

...
"Hello?"

As I stared holes into her beatiful appearance, I failed to notice it would probably not look too normal from the outside.

Oh!

"Hey! I'm Zack. May I aquire thy denomination, miss?"

AHH! What was that?! I wouldn't even tell a cop, if he asked me like that!

"Hihi. Quite well spoken, I see. They call me Princess Anastasia. I am quite enticed by making your acquaintance, Sir Zack."

Wow, she's cute and smart.
Then I guess I'll go with:

"And that is not all there is to it. Zack is just the beginning to an even greater tale. Of my heroic  upbringing I must not confess just yet"

Oh yeeeah. Nailed that one.
Note from the future: NO, YOU DIDN'T!

"Sooo, what is this brave knight up to? Hasn't class started about 20 minutes ago?"

Oh shoot, just how long have I stared at her?

"Ahem...yeah...I'm late..."
As I give off a slight tone of sighing, I catch her giggling again.

Wow, she's so cute. If I could hear her giggle like that everytime I'm late, I would voluntarily be late to Mrs. Raw for the rest of my, then, happy life.

Oh, right. Mrs. Raw. I'm still late. Don't know why I keep forgetting it.
But I just need to make sure.

"It was nice to meet you. Hope I can see you around campus more often, and maybe we can chat again?"

"Sure, unless you're busy being late again. You know you won't arrive sooner like that, right? Mrs. Raw is pretty strict I've heard. Especially to you, because of reasons."

Mmm. I should really get that fixed. Hold on-

"Hold on. How do you know all that?"

She started to blush. At least that's what she told me later. I must have been blind not to notice it. Especially because I was still basically staring at her the entire time like a weirdo. Not that it's my fault, she was so pretty.
Oh, and future 'me' will take over for a bit, because my past self literally stopped thinking at this point.

"I-I-I just guessed", she fumbled with her hair.

Pretty good "guess", I must say.

"O-Ooh. Ye-yeah, you're completely right on that one. Guess I must be pretty famous for that around campus, huh?"

Man, was I really this stupid?
No, don't answer that. I think I know best.
Well, now I do.

"We-well, see you around. And next time I won't just stare at you so long, and approach you."

WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT! AHHH!

"O-oh. Okay. Bye bye."

She waved her hand as she responded in the must insanely cute way possible. Like seriously, could anything get any cuter than this? I still can't get over this, everytime she does that.

As soon as she said that I turned around waving back and finally facing towards the school building entrance.
The walk there was pretty awkward. I couldn't see her, but she could have looked in my direction. I kept thinking how I normally walk or even what 'cool' or at least normal thing to do with my arms.
And no matter what, as soon as you start thinking about it, you're either too froze up or extra vagant in your movements.

I should ask her what she thought of my walk at that time. I don't think she would remember though.
Might be for the better actually, I don't want to lose any more respect towards my old cringeworthy self.
Anyways...

I entered the school building.
