Wraiths

"Of course, doctor", Eve says with a faint smile.

"Very well then, I leave her at your capable hands." The doctor leaves after saying that.

"It's all right. You can leave first. I would like to stay a little longer."

"Now then Luna. Shall we get started."

"Ooh, what a nice body you have. Such smooth skin."

She traces her finger down her chest and then her waist.

'I shouldn't waste anymore time. Gotta finish before she wakes up.'

She puts her hand across her chest and then pulls a.......... Measuring tape out.

"Done! Now I better dress her up again."

'Uwaah, she waited for me this whole time. What a nice friend!!'

"You're awake! How're you feeling?"

"Aside from a headache, I feel fine."

"What a terrible instructor! Completely disregarding his students safety. Unacceptable!"

"He must have gotten really pissed that I used a cheap trick on him like that."

"An instructor should never get angry at his students."

"Well he's only human."

"You're far too forgiving. I will be sure to make the principal aware of this incident."

She gets up from the bed and walks over to the door. But on opening the door, she sees Daniel standing right in front of the door.

"Ooh excellent timing! Here"

He hands over a folded paper to her.

"What's this?"

"Today's test, see for yourself."

Luna opens the test paper and sees that she got 8 out of 30. 

"What did you get?"

"10"

"You're a terrible friend"

"Whaa? It's just 2 marks. Look at Eve, she got a whopping 28"

"I made a stupid mistake, losing 2 marks like that", Eve says while looking away.

"See, she is the most terrible friend out of all of us."

"Alright then, Luna. Come to my house tomorrow. I will personally tutor you", says Eve while looking at Luna.

"What about me!!", Dan says while pointing at himself.

"Terrible friends don't tutor anyone. Now, scram."

"Waah, Are you angry?"

Dan kneels down in front of Eve and then, "Forgive this mere mortal for his insolence, Goddess."

"Hahahaha", Luna bursts out in laughter while Eve becomes red hot in embarrassment.

Luna heads towards the Central District while the others head towards the Residential District. She has to walk home all alone everyday since almost no one lives in her direction. The Central District is the heart of Paradisium, where all the important buildings are located. 

Luna, a little bored, decides to take a look at the news on her phone. But as she takes out her phone she notices from the reflection on the screen, a hooded man is standing behind her with his hand raised. 

Before Luna can even react, the man grabs her head and then......

.....she starts seeing flashes of memories that aren't hers. 

A woman, kneeling in front of a bloody corpse of a man, blood dripping from her mouth. She held a blood red dagger in her hands which she used to gouge his heart out. 

Luna feels sick and feels like puking.

//Whoa boy, which bastard is trying to take over my master's body.//, a voice comes from inside her mind, which also stops the visions.

The hooded man flinches and steps back.

"What the!? Mental Protection? Tch, this body is falling apart. I need a new one. Dammit!", he says while gritting his teeth.

The hooded man quickly turns around to run away, but Luna quickly rushes to his side, kicking at his knee joint from the side to completely break it. 

A crunching noise can be heard from his knee, which is now bent at an unnatural angle. Yet the man keeps running with his broken legs.

'Wha! How is he even running with a broken leg like that?'

The man runs straight along the road, trying to create some distance between him and Luna. But he is forced to reconsider his strategy as a bullet flies past his cheeks, barely missing his head. 

He runs towards a construction site, entering an empty under construction apartment. Luna chases after him, but as soon as she enters the first floor, the man waiting at the corner punches Luna in the face. But strangely, the punch felt soft, she even heard his wrist breaking from the impact, yet her face was perfectly fine.

'Is this guy suffering from calcium deficiency or something?'

The man, after making a frustrated face, starts running again. He jumps out of a window, landing on top of a garbage truck. But while he was in mid air, the sniper shot a hole through his head. Thus what lay in the truck amongst the garbage is the lifeless corpse of a man, whose brain was coming out from the bullet hole.

A notification rings in Luna's phone.

Crow: Wasn't that a nice shot? The trash fell right in his spot.

Luna: You're as brutal as always. Who was that guy?

Crow: Not sure. He was possessed by some kind of wraith or evil spirit that takes over people's bodies.

Luna: Yeah, I heard the rumors too.

'Taking over people's bodies by overwriting their memories. Everyone is on edge because of these incidents. Never thought I would meet one myself.'
