Encountering a new main character !

From Haneda Airport to his small apartment, Louis got taken aback by the city that presented itself in front of him. For sure, he visited multiple cities but it was his first time in one outside of Europe. Everything was certainly different from what he imagined. Architecture, shops, cars, even traffic lights. Everything was sparkling in his eyes.

"Sparkling it is! There's no trash anywhere. Except you of course..."

While trash-talking his narrator, he finally arrived and began unpacking what he brought with him. He started by removing his spares clothes from his suitcases. Showing his fashion sense... A fashion sense resembling his level of intelligence: Simple.

"..."

In just a few days, he was going to attend Tomibiki University. He was looking forward to his first day! And to be honest, I am too! I must admit, I just couldn't stop my curiosity dear reader...
I... permitted myself to take an early look at the script... And apparently the second main character is going to be a-

"WOW ! Spoilers !"

Oh come on... It's not like it could be a problem... She appears in the next chapter...

"You've done it now... You gave the gender away you cretin."

Oops... Well, let's just wait until we get to the first school day. Not like there's anything else to do...

'No way I'd do that, there's a whole city to explore...'

Excited as he was, Louis could not stay in place and follow the script given to his narrator. It was, after all, common for him to try throwing off his quick-witted narrator. Not that it mattered of course. It's not like he could randomly bump into a main character earlier than the author predicted.

He wandered about in a random shopping street. He couldn't decide where to go so he let the flow of people decide his cour-

"Oh... Did they finally open?" someone said in the crowd.

Oh no... I foreshadowed! Well... It's only 2 lines but still ! She's here!

"Is this the girl you almost spoiled to me?" worriedly asked Louis, pointing toward her.

"What the- Spoil?" the young girl continued without seeing who was talking.

Huh... Miaou... Miiaaoouu !

"That's... not what a cat sound like in Japan..."

Meow? Meow?

"It's 'nya' in this country narrator."

Nya... Nya?

"She can't hear you anyway. Can't I hide in the crowd and shut up?"

No Louis! Just look around you! You're a main character! You have weird hair and a tragic backstory! It's too easy to spot you! Run!

Louis proceeded to get away from this place. This was quite surprising of him as he has never done anything for his old pal of a narrator. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all...

"Don't think I did that for you. I'm pretty sure we're in a horror story. If I met her in a weird way, It may make my death unsure..." said Louis gasping for air.

Well... You did some cardio for nothing. This is a rom-com...

"Oh really?!"

Yeah it's written in the author note: '[Short] entry of the previous novel "Student life of Buissy in Tokyo". This version is heavily modified and will have a ton of new content so don't worry about reading the same thing as last year. Prompt: Rom-com.'

"Wait... You mean my story is something the writer recycled? Are you serious? I'm a salvaged character? Might as well put a 'Eco-responsible' logo on the cover... And rom-com? Really? It's not too late to change?"

No... I tried doing that when I learned that I wouldn't be able to get rid of you. Sadly, the author was adament on this for some reason...

Anyway. No more wandering around without clearance from the scenario. Just imagine the consequences of bumping into a character introduced in chapter 84...

"There will be a chapter 84?"

Honestly, you're a bad character and the story isn't developing at all. I don't know if we'll ever be able to go past chapter 4.

"Maybe it's the fault of the narrator if the story is so shitty..."

Well maybe it's the fault of the author if the story is so sh- Ouch. The writer hurt me ! Can't say anything wrong in this workplace without receiving divine punishment from the big boss... You know what? I'm tired of this! I'll just tear up a few pages off the script and go to next chapter early!

After a boring opening ceremony that we will conveniantly skip because the author was too stupi-Ow to know the second main character would also be there. Louis was, finally, a few steps away from his classroom. He slowly opened the door and scanned the room in front of him from right to left.

The classroom was full of people. Some of them wacky enough to be characters of this story. But they are not the subject of today's chapter... After all, a new main character is going to be introduced!

Or maybe not? Louis got to his seat without speaking to anyone. There's also no pretty girl with a weird ass hair color interrupting my narration... What is happening? Is this due to our previous shenanigans? It seems I have made a terrible mistake...

Suddenly, a gust of wind flowed inside the classroom due to the slide door opening rapidly. This was... Yes! It's her!

'Fiou... It seems I'm not late'

Well, well, well... If it isn't the consequences of my own incompetence... Hey Louis. Say something.

'To whom? You just said she wasn't there?'

No, the consequences are her arriving late. I'm relieved... Look at the woman in the doorway...

He finally laid his eyes on the girl. Her hair had a dark tone of blue and reached a little past her shoulders. Lowering his view, Louis looked at her face. Her eyes were big but had a piercing glare that made her look both intimidating yet oddly approachable. She was standing there, menacingly, searching for the person describing her.

It was love at first sight.

'No it isn't. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm aromantic or something since I never fell in love...'

In a rom-com? What are you thinking? You're going to get that chick. I assure you that you're going to fall in love... Next chapter...!

“What? No... I...”

Don't care, didn't ask, please go to the next chapter dear reader. If it's out of course...

Author note : Normally with the schedule, I should make chapters that are around 2000 words long. As you can see, the first chapter wasn't even 1000 words long. I made it like that so that people could get introduced slowly... So now the chapters are going to be longer and longer. We'll go up to 2000 words per chapter and even a little more to catch up with the wordcount (I do not take author notes into it of course).
