Chapter 3:

And so, their lives began to change

Unsurprisingly Humanity’s Strongest is bad at love

Elizabeth was shown by Scarlet around the house. Scarlet felt embarrassed the more she showed her the house. It was messy, no doubt. Even the little cleaning Liz had done to the house before Scarlet woke up didn’t cover this fact. Dishes were dirty, glasses were stained, the floor was stepping hazard and a lot of things were just dusty, because they weren’t used in a long time. When Scarlet showed her the garage she was impressed.
“You own two cars?”
Scarlet was sweating. She couldn’t say that she stole the other car now could she.
“No that car is from a friend”
“Really…”
It was obvious to Scarlet that Liz knew that something was up. After all, Scarlet was literally covered in blood when she collapsed on the porch. Scarlet felt great that Liz knew some first aid but would have been alright if Liz didn’t do anything. After all she is the [Humanity’s Strongest]. But Scarlet herself was intrigued about Liz. Why didn’t she say anything? Maybe Uncle Jack had said something to her. Hopefully nothing bad.
Scarlet then showed Liz her room. It was one of the locked rooms on the first floor, a little further away from Scarlet’s room. Even though she wanted to be near Elizabeth all the time, she decided to give her some privacy. She was going to see her in her home after all, there is no need to be too obsessive. The room itself was nothing special. It had everything a normal room needed. A cupboard, a desk, a bed, a shelf and a table. The room also has a small balcony. The only problem with the room is that it was very dusty as expected. She didn’t step in this room in years. The last time she was here was when she first inspected the house. Why did she buy such a big house? Well once upon a time someone wanted to house some friends or maybe start a family in this house. But this had never come to fruition and they lost hope and eventually gave the home to Scarlet. Of course, the [Red Demon] doesn’t need friends or family. Her friends are her guns and her family is the blood on her hands, since blood flows thicker than water, which describes the bond a family shares. As expected of the [Humanity’s Strongest].
“Ms. Johnson, Ms. Johnson? Are you alright Ms. Johnson?”
“Yes yes I’m fine. Also just call me Scarlet.”
“Ehhh, but aren’t you older than me?
Scarlet’s left eye twitched.
“I am not that old missy. In fact, I am younger than Selena Gomez and she is 29”, Scarlet declared proudly.
Elizabeth giggled. Scarlet went red and looked away embarrassed
Oh god she is so cute
“Well we make this place habitable for the two of us” Scarlet said. And so, they started cleaning the house.

At 9pm they were done with cleaning. It was a rigorous task, something Scarlet wouldn’t have done if it wasn’t for Liz. After opening the windows and cleaning, they hovered the floor, then washed the floor with the mop. Scarlet dusted of the unused furniture and Elizabeth cleaned up the kitchen. The [Crimson Queen] decided that it wouldn’t be noble of her to let Liz clean the bathrooms, so that what she had done next.
It was embarrassing for Scarlet to let someone else help her clean up her mess as it showed a messy side of her. She is usually the one to clean up the mess for someone else. But Liz didn’t seem to mind. In fact, she seemed to take pleasure in cleaning the house.
Does she love cleaning?
She did seem fairly skilled in cleaning.
A perfect housewife.
She blushed at that thought, while she was treating the poison in the living room. Treating poison isn’t a simple task for the average joe, yet she had to learn something like this very early on. She remembered the time she was poisoned the first time in Paris. Ahh simpler times. Times when you had companions.
“I am going to go buy some groceries for us. Want to come?”
Liz appeared from the kitchen, forcing Scarlet out of her thoughts.
She had changed clothes and was wearing blue blouse that made her eyes seem more blueish and black tights.
“I am coming. I need to get the tailor to fix my coat.”
Scarlet put her medical kit away and grabbed her coat. She had also changed her clothes. Rather wearing the red cargo pants, she was wearing blue jeans with some red stiches on it and a red shirt with bizarre yet strangely pleasant patterns on it.
And so, they embarked on a journey to buy some groceries.

The supermarket wasn’t really far away. It was five minutes away from Scarlet’s home and she often went to that store to buy some premade food. You don’t need to be a chef to be able to cook, but you need to have a decent understanding of what you are doing in order for the food to turn out well. But you can disregard all of that when you are “cooking” with premade food. A real-life saver for Scarlet, even though it is quite unhealthy.

And so they arrived at the store. It is a normal supermarket, nothing special. They grabbed a basket and started browsing the store. Only a few people were present, which made sense since it was getting dark outside.
“What do you want to eat for dinner?”
Liz suddenly turned from the shop racks and looked at her. Liz was really close to Scarlet.
Scarlet realized that Liz was smaller than Scarlet and really cute and smelled nice like fresh strawberries and looked stunning in that outfit and that Liz reminded her of a puppy and really cute. Did she mention cute?
Scarlet went red and avoided her eyes.
“Uhh I don’t have any preferences. I would anything you would make”
“Really! Then I am feeling for a hotpot today.”
She smiled brightly and started searching for the right ingredients.

She is really a cute puppy.

Scarlet followed her and also started looking for ingredients.
“What do we actually need for the hotpot?” asked Scarlet as she walked besides her.
“Since the kitchen is practically empty, we need to buy a lot of things apart from the ingredients we need. Meat, a lot of vegetables and seafood. Also, we need to buy the right pan and also…”
Scarlet nodded a long not really hearing what Liz was saying.
She is really passionate about cooking.
She brood more over this thought but suddenly the atmosphere shifted. Something was wrong. Scarlet looked around, trying to find the source of her discomfort.
“Mou, are you even listening?”
Elizabeth leaned slightly and pouted while holding a cucumber in her hand.
“I am listening, I am listening. It’s just…”
Scarlet felt a chill in her body. She grabbed Liz and ducked behind a shelf and started looking around.
“Scarlet?” Liz was pressed against Scarlet. She looked defenseless and innocent, while looking at Scarlet with upturned eyes.
Thank you, God, for this day.
But right now she had to focus. Something bad was about to happen.
And it happened.

The doors of the supermarket burst opened. A man with a gun entered looking angry and bloodthirsty.
“Everyone get down! This is a robbery!”
Liz gasped and Scarlet sighed.
Why does this need to happen today.
