Reunited

Ane and Ene stood next to one another calmly; eying Finn and his staff which was spinning about. "How are we supposed to be beat this guy?" Ane asked exhaling.

"Just go away." Finn suggested; sighing also.

"No way in hell." Ane remarked. Finn nodded to sleep and Ane shot forward; firing a kick which the staff shielded Finn from. Ane then hit the weapon down with his palm and it morphed into a sword and then spun at Ane's neck. Ene shot forward and blasted the weapon away to then spin into the air and kick Finn back. Finn rolled to a stop easily and opened his eyes to then looked at the boys.

"We're not leaving without Lana." Ane remarked with a frown and Finn sighed.

"What a pain." he complained whilst scratching his head as Ane and Ene paced at him and fired punches which he slapped away effortlessly. Ane then spun at Finn's feet; tripping the man forward into Ene's knee. Finn fell back and Ane then uppercutted him and Ene then fired a kick which the man blocked. Ane shot to Finn; firing a punch to his stomach but the man placed Ene in the way. Ane's attack landed in Ene's face.

"Sorry." Ane said; inhaling through clenched teeth.

"It's okay." Ene said as he kicked Finn of the bridge as he fell back from Ane's punch. Ane dove at Finn and fired a punch at the man but Finn blocked and kneed the teen away. Ane spun back onto the bridge to see the staff spin into Finn's hand and form into a large sword. Finn then shot at the duo and slammed the sword into the ground as the two teens dodged. Finn then swung the blade at Ane who jumped over it to then fire a kick which Finn ducked to receive a kick in the face from Ene. The sword fell from the man's hand and formed into a spear which lunged at Ene who dodged to then be slashed at. Ane kicked the spear away before it could complete the blow and Ane and Ene then flew to Finn who was gliding through the air. The two teens punched Finn onto a bridge which shattered and the man immediately spun to another which Ane and Ene flew onto. 
"Just tell us where Lana is." Ane said frowning. Finn lifelessly stood up and smiled creepily as he eyed the teens with a deadly glint in his eyes. Ene's eyes widened.

"Watch out!" he yelled. Finn appeared in front of him and fired a punch to the boy's stomach. Ene launched back; rolling on the ground. Finn then eyed Ane with his unhinged look before kicking at the boy as he spun through the air. Ane barely blocked in time.

"So...fast." he thought through clenched teeth. The tile beneath him broke and he jumped back. Finn chuckled and put his hands in a shrugging position. Dark flames formed a hand on his back which then shot at Ane. "I wonder what'll happen if that hits me." Ane thought; bending backwards to see Ene who lay behind him. Ene eyed Ane and Ene's face filled with terror. Ane had a crazy grin on his face, red beast-like eyes with no irises.

"Those are HIS eyes!" Ene thought alarmed as his hands shot flames which then propelled him forward. Finn snapped out of his unhinged state and looked terrified as he saw his attack about to hit Ane. Ene kicked Ane into the air and spun to his feet and Finn held the dark hand to then swing it aside. It barely missed Ene but darkness still blasted Ene to the wall. The boy fell to a sitting position; a dark aura surrounding him. "This is bad." he thought as Ane fell in front of him.

"What was that about!?" Ane scolded as he stood up.

"Whatever you do; don't make that darkness TOUCH you. It'll have a worst consequence hitting you than me." Ene said.

"Consequence?" Ane asked whilst eyeing Ene.

"I can't shift right now. If I do, the darkness will...get to me." Ene replied.

"I still don't get it but whatever you say." Ane said while watching Finn who stood there; holding his back and panting. "I don't know why I wanted to tank that attack but it feels creepy as hell to me and now; I have to fight him alone." Ane thought whilst sucking his teeth. The staff caught his eyes as it spun around.

"That's it!" a female voice yelled from it. Swords appeared next to the staff and spat at Ane who put his hands on his face as the weapons pierced into him. Blood leaked down his body as the staff shot into the air and spun like crazy. A grey summoning circle appeared above it and a spike ball spat down at Ene; steam pouring from it.

"Not good." Ane remarked as he shook away the weapons piercing him; blood spraying from his body as he jumped back and tapped the ball up with his palm. A surge went through the ball and it bounced to the roof where it exploded causing smoke to fill the air. "A bomb...huh." Ane said dizzily as he fell onto his knees.

Lana and Eina eyed the bleeding Levy who weakly stood. "I...will...retrieve...Lana." she said; spitting out more blood.

"Why are you so persistent?" Eina asked.

"Unlike you...S.O.I.T is...everything to me." Levy replied. "And my contract with them is all that keeps me and big sis protected." she thought as she stumbled aside.

"Unlike me, huh? Are you sure it's not that Patralier contract talking?" Eina asked. "Cause S.O.I.T was everything to me as well." she continued.

"So...why?" Levy inquired.

"Because I realized I had someone who is more important than them." Eina answered as she remembered a fuzzy memory of a young Ane offering his hand to her.

"Are you okay?" the boy asked. Eina smiled at Levy.

"Someone special to you, huh?" Levy said softly. Tears fell down her face. "Is he strong?" she asked; wiping her tears.

"The strongest." Lana relied smiling at Levy who blushed.

"Then I'm sure he'll be able to help us." she thought as Eina and Lana offered her their hands. The ground shook beneath them as Levy rose her hand and a flash phased through the room. The floor then gave way under them.

"Crap; can't shift or see." Eina thought as they fell.

Ane stood across Finn and they looked up as the roof began falling apart. Finn sighed. "You should have been patient. What a drag." he said; eying the staff which landed on his back silently. Ene weakly looked up and spotted Lana and Eina. Ane noticed them as well but his face distorted to rage as he saw Eina.

"Ane, you have to save them both. They more than likely can't budge or see. That was some type of bomb cluster which more than likely included some flash grenades and bombs that weakens you as well. I've seen them before." Ene said. Ane eyed him with a deadly look.

"I'll do as I please." Ane hissed with his beast-like eyes. His nails got sharp as claws and his teeth like fangs and he then dove into the air; jumping from debris to debris with insane speed. He grabbed Lana and spun back to the bridge which shook as it nearly gave way from the force of his landing.

"This is bad." Finn thought whilst eying the staff. "Stay out of the remainder of this fight. As a matter of fact; go to sleep." he commanded. Ane placed Lana down and eyed Finn angrily. Finn spat a beam of flame which Ane ducked to then see Finn jump off the bridge and grab Eina to then dive back onto the bridge. An unconscious Levy fell to the lava below unnoticed. Ane's frown grew as he watched Finn who was carrying Eina.

"So now the villains team up, huh!" Ane yelled angrily. Finn laughed.

"This trash betrayed S.O.I.T!" he exclaimed before swinging Eina behind Ane and Lana; in front of Ene. Her eyes cleared and she immediately saw Finn, Ane and Kana in front of her before weakly standing.

"So it's you. The other genius of S.O.I.T free of a Patralier or in your case Patraliere contract, Finn." she remarked; eying Finn.

"Hey, don't boast about me. You're nearly as smart as me." Finn said; laughing evilly.

"There's someone smarter than Eina? Well that's gonna be a bother." Ene said. Eine quickly turned to him and he grinned.

"Ene!?" she asked in surprise.

"I'll explain another time." Ene said. Ane eyed them with a glint in his beast-like eyes causing Eina to back away.

"I guess he's still mad at me." she thought sadly. Lana stood up weakly and watched around until her eyes landed on Ane.

"Stay back, Lana. I'll protect you." Ane said pushing; Lana back.

"Those eyes and elemental power." Lana thought as she stared at him silently before gulping.
