My girlfriend and I

I took and deep breath and I started a kind of conversation

“So you must be Hoshiko san, n-nice to meet you. I'm Akihito Daiki and the guy next to me is my best friend named Hikari,” I said with pride.

“Y-yo H-hoshiko san”Hikari exclaimed with a tremor overwhelming him.

I knew that he was nervous, he couldn’t talk to a girl properly but fortunately I was here with him.

“Oh what a surprise, that’s right I’m Hoshiko Itsuki also you can call me Itsuki, I don’t have a thing about manners.” She said with a smile.

“Oh that’s fine I guess you also can call Daiki then and my friend…”

When I leaned on him he had already disappeared. I can’t believe this guy but still I have plenty of time to talk with Itsuki.

“So Itsuki I have to say that you seem like a really interesting girl and more of that you are beautiful” I said with a convincing look.

I knew that my charisma of luck would help me talk to her, I can talk way more freely with that.

“This makes me frustrated, how nice of you. You must have good breeding from your parents.” She exclaimed with a pretty smile.

The truth is that my parents had upbringing me the right way, I have inherited both of my parents' personalities.

“Oh about your….where did he go?” She questioned.

“About him….yeah he is a bit nervous when it comes to girls, I hope you understand.

It’s not like I had a problem with that but he’s still my friend so I can’t be careless for him.

“Well how about we meet after school ? I know a good cafe shop and it has its silence,it’s a peaceful place." I suggested.

Good for now everything goes smoothly, time for the first date. Which will not be exactly a date but…. Yeah.

“Sounds good, but my schedule is really full today I don’t kn-"

Suddenly her phone rang and she answered immediately.

“Oh happy news, all my meetings that I had are all canceled, wow this feels so good. So yeah I'm open to your invitation.

My luck helped me again, I feel so blessed with this charisma.

“Okay so meet me in the yard when we’re done, I will wait there.”

She made a positive grimace and then we headed to the classrooms for the next term.

I couldn’t wait for the class to end, I was so hyped about my meeting with her but there was one problem. This concerned Hikari, I had to tell him that I had an appointment with Itsuki.

The bell rang and we got out of the classroom, I told Hikari everything. I even invited him but he came up with something that he had to sort out.

Itsuki approached me and finally we started heading to the cafe.

We were right outside the cafe and we decided to go in.

“What a lovely place, you have a good taste, Daiki”she declared.

“Hehe, most of the time when it comes to a comfortable place I choose carefully” I aforesaid with a smile.

“What would you like to offer? Are you by any chance a couple?” The waitress stressed.

“Ah no no, we’re just friends nothing more, I would like an iced coffee please” Itsuki said blushed.

Heh, another one bites the dust, even the waitress was affected a bit by my power of luck.

As time went on, We had a well talked conversation.

“So are you interested in books at all, Daiki?” She settled on a good question.

“To be honest I’m something of an author myself, at least I was like two years ago.”

The truth is I attempted to write something but after some time I gave up on it, but for Itsuki I will probably give it a try again.

“Oh really, so are you writing a story at the moment?” She asked.

“I have something in my head but I don’t know how to construct it,” I declared.

Although now that I think about it, if I write a book it is highly probable that it will become famous in one way or another due to my luck. And I don't want too much attention so I'll pass. Unless Itsuki wants me to, then I'll gladly become famous for her.

"Oh, I see. Well neither am I good at writing." She exclaimed.

"Don't worry, it's not an easy thing to do. Anyway, what do you want to do in the future? Have you thought about it?"

"Ah, I guess I would like to sing." She said blushing.

"Really? Singing?"

"Yeah, I know that it's stupid-"

"No, of course it isn't stupid, it's the other way around. With your voice you would be an awesome singer. Your voice is so cute that I'm sure that will charm everyone hearing it." I said with passion.

"Ah, D-do you really think that? T-thanks." She said blushing and started drinking her coffee to hide her embarrassment.

"Aah, she is so cute, I really can't stop staring at her. She is the only girl that I want to be with for the rest of my life. I mean, she is cute, pretty, smart and her voice is so sweet that I could hear her talking for hours."

That was the time when I understood that I wasn't thinking about all those but instead I said them aloud and now Itsuki's face had turned full red and she was staring at her coffee intensively.

I don't know if that was lucky at all but one thing's for sure. I sort of confessed to the girl I like. But now that gives me the perfect chance to confess normally to her.

The time has come, it's time for me to ascend one level above my past self. With the help of my luck I'll manage to form a relationship with Itsuki and she will be the perfect girlfriend I can find.

Alright then, it's all or nothing.

"H-hey Itsuki?"

"Y-yes?" She said while abruptly raising her head.

"As you already know, you are the school's idol. You are cute, beautiful and smart. But above all you are kind hearted and that's what I want from my girlfriend. So could you please allow me to confess to you right now?"

"E-eeeh?"

Of course I didn't wait for a reply. I may use my luck a lot, not that I can control it, but if I don't try luck only will get me nowhere.

"So, you please marry me?" I said and closed my eyes to show that I was embarrassed.

Not that I wasn't, but not as much as Itsuki.

"W-wait, marriage… is a bit early for that. How about we start with a girlfriend, boyfriend relationship first?"

Hehe, plan failed successfully. It's indeed a bit early to talk about marriage as we just met. So to even have a relationship with her is one of the best things that could happen in my life.

I'll make sure to make her the most happy girl in the world no matter what.

"Yes, I totally accept that." I said with a smile.

On the other side, Itsuki's face was still red from embarrassment. Not that I wasn't embarrassed at all, but I chose to not show it.

And that's how mine and my girlfriend's story starts, the story of an extremely lucky boy and his unlucky girlfriend.

I don't know if it was luck at all, but one thing is for sure. I've confessed, so to speak, to the girl I like. But now this gives me the perfect opportunity to confess to her normally.
