Discharge and Motivating Doctor

The doctor’s office was brightened by the light entering through the glass on the window. the pleasant cooling from Ac combined with the light of the sun was creating comfort that one could think of as true bliss.

‘This room… I should’ve opted for medical!!’ Koi thought as the doctor examines his pulse.

“So?” Airi asked. She was sitting beside Koi and the Doctor on a chair with her hands supporting her chin,

“I am fine, right?” Koi asked, worried as he knew his food choice wasn’t exactly healthy for half a month now.

The doctor put both hands on Koi’s shoulder and he spoke with his voice a flamed,

“I know this time can be hard!! You did well, you are fine now,”

“Th..th..thankyou?” Koi answered, obviously confused, and the doctor thought,

‘This young man needs guidance’ and with a look of pity spoke,

“See, young man, I’ve been through what you are going through… you will doubt your choices and yourself. Eat healthily, dress well, take a bath… what happened already happened it is in past now, it wasn’t your mistake…” he looked towards Airi and then back at Koi and said,

“Be proud of what you did!! And live happily for future now… your health is good. Now eat porridge for a while or something easy on the stomach,”

Airi, who got what the doctor was thinking, stood up and tapped Koi’s shoulder,

“Let’s go… doctor has his appointment” 

Koi, who thought the doctor knew about his condition and was trying to motivate him, bowed deeply as he thanked the doctor,

“Thank you, sir, if someone big like you came through it… I will try my best too” with a strange comrade spirit doctor looked towards Koi and sensing danger Airi pulled Koi’s hand and with a grin on his face doctor said,

“Don’t worry young one!! Give it your best… some mountains are meant to be conquered twice!!” at the last part he looked towards Airi’s hand that was holding Koi’s hand,

“I don’t get what that means but… I will make sure to get it later!!” Koi answered in a low but clear voice, and Airi who couldn’t take this confusion anymore finally pulled Koi out of the room,

As they were walking out of the hospital, Koi said,

“What a nice person, right? Ito, did you tell him about what happened?” at this Airi who was already confused as to how to explain the doctor’s dramatics, replied instantly,

“Yes, he seems to have a similar experience”

“I see. So where are we going?” Koi asked with a curious look and Airi answered,

“To a café nearby, we can have a proper chat there,” as she said this she thought,

‘Maybe he was just exhausted last night…’ and again felt confused at Koi’s behavior towards her,

‘How can he not resent me a bit!? Even though it was my NGO….’

After walking for 10 mins, Koi notice Airi staring at his head for a while now and fall to thought,

‘Is there something funny on my face… but she isn’t laughing’ then stealing a gaze at her expression, he thought,

‘She seems curious… is there something she wants to ask? Please don’t ask when I last bathed!!’ he waited for 10 more mins before he began thinking,

‘Maybe she is admiring me…’ but as soon as he thought this, he heard a sigh of disappointment from Airi’s mouth,

‘Ughh!! I can’t figure him out!!’ she thought and Koi, who couldn’t take it anymore, turned his face towards her, nearly making her fall back,

“Ito, is there something on my face?” he asked and Airi, who didn’t have an answer, moved her face forward and began walking after taking another huge sigh,

“Did I do something disappointing!?” Koi couldn’t help but ask and Airi moved her head in denial as she said,

“It is nothing, there see the café let’s go, I was just thinking if you are a tea person or a coffee person” Airi answered not having any other excuse and Koi answered,

“I am fine with both as long as they have milk” hearing his voice filled with sincerity Airi thought,

‘I’ll take milk one today too’

As they entered and take seats in the café, a maid came to their seat and asked,

“May I have your order, dear guest?”

“I… I…I, why are you a maid?” Koi was confused as he had never seen a maid out of anime, and the maid with a confused face answered,

“This is a maid café, dear customer… please can I have your order”

“We both will have milk coffee, with sugar,” Airi answered instead of Koi and he nodded. As the maid leave Koi asked Airi,

“I never thought you would choose a maid café…”

“Well surprise!!” Airi said in sarcasm as she received the coffee mugs from the maid who just returned,

“Now to the main matter,” she said with a serious look and Koi nodded.

“Yes”

“So, I want to state this beforehand. It is totally up to you. Take your decision with care because they will decide your future” as she said this, Airi’s red eyes gleamed and Koi gulped as he thought,

‘I hope it isn’t like that movie where they make a guy a contract killer…. I haven’t even killed a chicken’

“Sure,” Koi answered, trying to look calm, but Airi could feel him tapping his foot hard,

‘Man this guy!!’ she thought as she began explaining what she had already explained in the hospital.

“I got this. My money couldn’t be returned… due to technical errors,” Koi said and Airi nodded and said,

“Then here comes the part where we take our responsibility. You have 2 options by our side… it totally up to you what you will choose” Koi nodded, and Airi spoke with a professionalism-filled voice,

“First option- we will deport you back to the village you came from… of course only if you want,”

Hearing this, Koi instantly replied in a loud and clear voice,

“No!!”

This took Airi by surprise as she said with a laugh,

“Thank Lord, I was worried if you will speak in a normal voice level or not!!” seeing, and seeing her laughing, Koi felt embarrassed and asked,

“What is the second option?” Koi asked with a low voice and sensing his curiosity, Airi spoke in a serious voice,

“The second option is…...”
