Chapter 19:

Eyes

Ane And His Seames

Conner was casually stomping on Ane with one foot. "Come on, Ane. Do something already." Conner said dryly.

"Red Elemental Style: Speed Adjustment X2. Red Elemental Style: Strength Adjustment X2." Ane thought to them jump up; sending Conner stumbling back. Ane then dove at the man and punched but Conner literally phased through the attack and hit Ane in the stomach with a palm. Ane vibrated; eyes rolling up and he flung away. "Shadow Style: Ghost Shadow Palm." Conner said.

"What is your element?" Ane asked weakly as he fell to his knees. Conner smirked.

"Hey Ene!" Lisa called as she approached Ene who then turned to her to see that she and Sid was approaching.

"What's up?" Ene asked with a grin.

"My wounds are all healed up. What are you doing here and where's Ane?" Lisa questioned. Ene slowly pointed to the glass and Lisa turned to it.

"What is that guy doing to Ane!?" Lisa asked as Conner used "Shadow Strike" on Ane.

"Fighting him; obviously." Ene remarked.

"I get THAT but why?" Lisa inquired.

"Training." Sid replied while watching Ane and Conner.

"Well that's some deadly training." Lisa said with a frown of disapproval.

"Conner won't kill his nephew." Sid remarked. "I think." he continued.

"That's not reassuring!" Lisa scolded.

"Anyway, what is Conner's element?" Ene asked; eying Sid.

"He is a red element but the specializes in the shadows which is the dark element.. He can't currently fight to his full potential though and not to mention he used "Nullify" twice before on you and then Ane." Sid explained.

"Shadows huh. If so..." Ene thought; holding his chin.

Conner lifted Ane by the collar. "Shadow Strikes." he said and a shadow walked from Conner with the exact same figure as him and struck Ane with insane speed. Ane spat blood after the last rapid punch and the shadow then returned to Conner's body which evil laughter then came from. "Calm down. Not needed currently." Conner said roughly before swinging Ane away. "There's no reason to get so hype considering how pathetic and weak Ane is. He couldn't even protect that girl." Conner continued with a smirk. Ane flipped to his feet in midair; eyes shielded.

"Oh?" Conner asked while watching Ane who's beast-like eyes were now visible.

"Take that back!" Ane yelled in his gruff voice; fangs showing as he spoke and the crimson aura began to surround him.

"To think you can't even control that form." Conner teased laughing mockingly. Ane growled and then roared as he pounced on Conner. A scythe appeared in the man's hand and he then slashed at Ane. The aura around the boy vanished and he jumped back. "Fangs and the dragon eyes." Conner said; holding his chin. "Fair enough." he remarked; grinning.

"What is it now?" Ane asked with a frown.

"You passed." Conner stated bluntly.

"Wait what?" Ane asked blinking blankly.

"Thanks to me you should now be able to use those eyes without trouble now." Conner explained. Ane felt his face quizzically.

"That dragon's eyes?" he asked and Conner nodded. "I wanna see them!" Ane yelled curiously. Conner rose a palm.

"Shadow Imitation." the man said. Ane's body thumped and then Conner turned into darkness before forming into an exact replica of Ane.

"Sup." he said in Ane's voice.

"YO!" Ane yelled excitedly; eyes shining in amazement before eying the fangs on his copy; nodding observantly. Ane then watched the eyes; holding his chin. Conner turned back into himself abruptly.

"You're having me use up all my elemental energy." Conner complained.

"Oh, sorry." Ane said laughing guiltily as he rubbed the back of his head innocently. "So what do these eyes actually do?" he asked. Conner dropped to the floor.

"You gotta be kidding me!" he yelled sighing.

"What's wrong?" Ane asked blankly.

"You'll find out on your own." Conner then said as he stood up to then watch Ane and grin. "Now's the time to work on a special move." he said.  Ane gulped.

Ane sat across Conner; a waterfall between them. " So what now?" Ane asked.

"That's for you to decide." Conner replied making Ane groan and then sigh.

"A special move; huh?" Ane thought; holding his chin. "All I've been doing so far is infusing my martial arts with my abilities but that's not enough." he continued thinking to then close his eyes.

"What if you place some elemental energy in your fist." Conner suggested suddenly making Ane open his eyes.

"Hmmmm; but won't what just be the exact same thing I've been doing? Won't it have the same effect as using my  normal strength?" he asked. Conner shrugged and Ane looked dryly at his uncle before sighing. "Well it's worth a try." Ane said; standing up. His normal red aura surrounded his hand as he made a fist which he then fired at the water but the strength of his attack made him slip into the water which then smacked him down.

"You lack control! That was a normal punch!" Conner yelled. Ane floated on top of the stream below; spitting out water.

"I guess that move won't be the same as a normal punch then." he thought; grinning.

"Hurry up and get back up here!" Conner yelled from atop Ane as he ate some chips calmly.

"That slacker!" Ane whispered to then sigh and stand up.

The rest of the teens stood at the glass; watching. "This is unbelievably boring now." Ene remarked.

"Yeah I agree." Sid added. "It was better when they were fighting." he continued.

"Yup." Ene agreed.

"It was not better. It was ridiculous." Lisa scolded.

"Oh, Lisa. I had a question to ask you." Ene said folding his arms as Lisa turned her attention to him. "What kind of guys are you interested in?" Ene questioned. Sid eyed him; an eyebrow raised.

"ANE." Lisa replied bluntly.

"Oh...ok." Ene said before sulking on a corner of the hall where Sid then patted him on the back.

"Hey Lisa. Wasn't I touring you? Let's continue." Sid stated as he watched the girl.

"Yeah...but I wanna stay here in case Ane comes out." Lisa replied.

"Well Ene and I'll head out." Sid remarked showing his hands on his pockets and turning away. Ene eyed him quietly to then begin to walk off; eyes shielded.

"I'm not sure where you were raised but it's obvious you're oblivious to people's feelings." Sid remarked to Lisa who turned to see the boys at the end of the hall already. Sid watched her and shook his head in disapproval.

"Did I...do something wrong?" Lisa thought quizzically before her eyes landed on Ene. "Oh, I get it now." she then whispered to then ran to the boys. "Wait up!" she yelled.

"Huh?" Ene asked. "Weren't you staying with Ane?" he inquired. Lisa shook her head.

"Changed my mind." she said while grabbing Ene's arm. Sid smiled.

"She resembles you a bit; doesn't she...Abigail." he thought with a serious expression.

"Let's go!" Lisa yelled; grinning.
