Chapter 29:

Mandy's Escape

Ane And His Seames

Ane stared gravely at Eina. "What else?" he asked.

"There's a lot more actually. She said you'd want to know her story." Eina said.

"Story? Does she know Ane that well now?" Ene asked as he stood.

"I'll explain later." Ane said. "For now; tell me her..."story"." he continued; turning his attention back to Eina who nodded.

"She said it all started when she made it into the student council this yeas. It was the third day of school to be exact." Eina began.

Mandy was walking alongside another student council member. "So Mandy; you finally made it, huh." the other remarked remarked; grinning.

"Hey! I would've made it last year but..." Mandy began.

"You were too scared too." the other girl stated with a smug grin.

"No, that's not it. I was...nervous." Mandy said as she watched away. The other girl laughed. "So where exactly are we even going Sally?" Mandy asked after.

"I'm not sure myself actually. The head of the council told us to follow these directions so I'm doing just that." Sally remarked shrugging.

"That sounds a little suspicious and weird." Mandy remarked.

"Now that you mention it; I've never seen this part of the school." Sally said watching about. The place around them was purely tiles and plain and the room before them widened where it then split into two separate stairs. The teens peeked over the stairs to see both flights led to the fully white room below where only a door was located; right in the middle. A man with blonde hair, a blonde goatee, baby blue eyes, a grey shirt, a black pants and white lab coat turned to the girls and smiled.

"What a creeper." Mandy whispered.

"That's the new head of the student council. Have some respect!" Sally scolded under her breath.

"Huh?" Mandy asked while staring suspiciously at the man.

"Hurry up down here; Sally and Mandy I presume?" the man inquired as the girls made their way down.

"Yeah; that's us." Sally replied smiling.

"Y-yeah." Mandy stuttered causing Sally to side-eye her.

"It's okay. Don't be nervous." Sally said with a smile. Mandy nodded slowly and the girls then reached next to the man who placed on his glasses and held his chin.

"Quite fine specimens we have here. Yes indeed." he remarked grinning.

"What did he just say?" Mandy thought; shuddering subtly. "What's with the lab coat?" she asked out loud.

"Mandy!" Sally scolded.

"S-sorry." Mandy stuttered; bowing.

"It's okay. I get that question a lot." the man said laughing. "Anyway I'm Doctor Chris Stampy." he said bowing also.

"So why are we her Doctor Stampy?" Sally inquired. A slight smile spread across Chris' mouth before he stood upright.

"You girls look like perfect humans." he remarked nodding; smile growing. Mandy backed away slightly; squinting at the man.

"That smile isn't an innocent one." she thought; gulping before turning Sally who shook her head. Mandy nodded but her friend still said no.

"What is it girls?" Chris asked turning the girls' attentions to him to see a vicious smirk on his face.

"What's wrong with your face!?" Sally queried.

"That's rude." Chris said; still smirking as he snapped his fingers. The walls opened up.

"Shit. We gotta go Sally!" Mandy yelled flying onto the top of the stairs. Sally attempted to fly off too but Chris held her feet.

"Mandy!" Sally screamed. Mandy turned to see her friend get dragged into the other room.

"SALLY!" Mandy yelled. Chris grinned evilly at her. "Damn it. I'm sorry Sally." Mandy thought as she ran off; Chris' laughter mocking her from behind. "I have to report this to the principal." Mandy thought.

"Running off and leaving your friend? What a coward!" a male voice remarked from behind Mandy. She turned to see a teen boy standing there; many other council members approaching as well.

"What's wrong with you guys?" Mandy asked in horror. The first boy laughed and then rose an eyebrow.

"What's wrong with us? Why is this coming from the one leaving her friend to be transformed." he teased; grinning.

"Transformed?" Mandy asked.

"You'll see soon enough. It's more of an upgrade really." the boy replied as his hand started to spin like a drill.

"Do they all have elemental powers too?" Mandy thought clenching her teeth. "That's not good." she continued thinking; backing up a little.

"What's wrong Mandy?" the boy asked; grinning. " Don't worry. Your body is going to be amazing when the master's done modifying it." he continued; eying his companions who nodded before charging Mandy.

"Make my body amazing?" Mandy thought; shuddering. "Forcefield!" she then yelled; placing her hand on the ground. A forcefield surrounded her; shielding her from the onslaught. "I can't defeat all those guys on my own but I doubt I can escape either considering they're most likely faster than me." she thought as she sat down and held her chin. "I have no other choice." she whispered after a moment of silence. She flipped into the air as her forcefield shattered and the girl hopped back; kicking away an assailant who rushed her. Mandy then landed and two purple beings appeared next to her; both forming into her. "Magic Clones." the girl thought.

"Clones? What are they supposed to do?" the boy asked laughing.

"Magic Style: Portal." one clone remarked; raising a hand making a purple portal to appear. The other clone then did the same.

"We should stop whatever she's doing." a female council member warned.

"Do as you wish." the leader said; folding his arms. The other members rushed the Mandys. The original Mandy placed a palm on both of her clones; her elemental energy surging through them.

"Magic Style: Magic Clone Barrage!" she yelled. Portals appeared from all around the assailants.

"What is this?" one asked as Mandys started to spit from the portals from all around. The council members attempted to counter but they were easily overpowered and defeated. Mandy's clones then vanished into her elemental energy which then floated into her.

"Sorry to interrupt but why'd she just not just teleport out of the building?" Ane interrupted.

"I also asked her this. She said her portals have a certain minimum radius and even if it might have been enough to get her out of there; she wasn't familiar enough with her location to teleport accurately. Plus they had council members all around the place since from before they went bonkers on her." Eina explained.

"Oh ok. Please continue." Ane stated. Eina nodded.

"Impressive move there." the leader of the assailants said as he grinned at Mandy who closed one eye and fell to her knees. "But it seems to drain most of your elemental energy despite the fact you conserved some using the remainder of some clones." the boy continued; laughing.

"I'm sure I attacked you as well!" Mandy yelled.

"Oh; your clones attacked me alright. They just weren't sufficient enough to beat me." the leader said; smirking.

"Tsk." Mandy said as she weakly stood. "Who are you?" she inquired.

"I used to be known as Fred but now I'm..." the leader began to then blink blankly as he thought. "I guess I'm still called Fred." he concluded.

"Fred....what?" Mandy asked. Fred rose an eyebrow. "Your surname; what is it?" Mandy inquired.

"That's now redundant isn't it? All that should be relevant is I'm now the embodiment of perfection! I'm one of my master's masterpieces!" Fred exclaimed as his body seemed to stiffen. His joints suddenly all dislocated and elemental energy blasted around him and he gave Mandy a deadly look. Electricity blasted from Fred and he spat fire.

"This is bad." Mandy thought; gulping.
