Chapter 30:

The Golden Woman

Ane And His Seames

Fred smirked at Mandy and walked towards the girl cockily. "Time to be remade." he remarked.

"Nobody's getting "remade" here." a feminine voice echoed; halting Fred's advance. He then watched up to see Ms. Goldenburg land next to Mandy. "You ok, Mandy?" Goldenburg inquired; eying the girl who nodded in response. Fred shuddered.

"Another imperfect being. I'll have master fix you both!" he yelled his energy bursting out even more from him causing an intense wind to blow across the area but Faith(Goldenburg) stood still; eyes shielded.

"Imperfect? Master? Fix?" she asked to then eye Fred furiously. "I'll end your misery here!" she shouted; raising a hand.

"Misery? I'm enjoying being perfect. Nobody can stand above me anymore!" Fred screeched as he bent back unnaturally; eyes rolling up. "Not even you." he said; pointing at Faith as he stood back straight.

"Miss, I think we should..." Mandy began.

"No, I can't leave here knowing this abomination lives on. I can't have the human he once was suffer any longer." Faith interrupted as she eyed Fred angrily.

"Time to be reborn!" he yelled as he literally pelted electricity at Faith who calmly rose her hand again. A gold shield blocked and redirected the attack away and Fred rose an eyebrow as Faith's shield melted into liquid gold and shot at him. He spat fire but the liquid gold wormed around his attack and then formed into a fist; uppercutting Fred. He slapped it away but it formed into liquid and wrapped around his hand to then turn to spikes; blasting apart his hand. Fred screamed in pain and hopped back and the gold returned to Faith and then vanished.

"She isn't even trying, is she?" Mandy thought in awe.

"Damn you!" Fred exclaimed as electricity spat from his bleeding arm and formed into a hand. He frowned at Faith and spat fire mixed with electricity at her. Faith dove aside with Mandy to then swing the girl far back to safety.

"My turn." Faith said; raising both hands. A tsunami of liquid gold formed behind her and Fred stared in horror as the wave spat at him. Fred jumped back but the gold spiked up; stabbing him as it hit the ground. Fred forced himself away from the spikes and jumped back again; raising one hand which fire then spat out from onto the tsunami. The gold absorbed the flames and solidified. "Your flames merely formed my liquid gold to solid." Faith remarked as she appeared in middle of the wave of gold. Fred squealed and backed up to then be punched away by the solid gold. He rolled to his feet to see the gold reapproaching him and he spat flames at it again. "And vice versa." Faith stated as her solid gold melted into liquid gold and covered Fred. The cyborg blasted around him until he managed to slither free where he slipped but still sprayed flames desperately from his hand. "And if the flames are too weak; they do nothing." Faith said as he gold washed Fred away. After a while; part of the gold lifted with Fred who was futilely punching the liquid.

"Let me go! Let me go!" he cried.

"Still got emotions I see." Faith said; stepping forward as she eyed Fred mercilessly. "Suffer no longer." she remarked as she rose her hand causing the remainder of gold to surround Fred from all around. The cyborg stared in horror. "You shall be avenged." Faith said as she walked out of the gold. "Gold Coffin." she concluded. The gold closed up, spiked and shot into the ground; burying Fred. Mandy stared in amazement at Faith who then smiled.

"You're so strong." Mandy stated. Faith offered the girl a hand.

"Let's get out of here, huh?" the woman inquired. Mandy nodded and took Faith's hand.

"So that's her power, huh?" Ane thought; holding his chin.

"Her power fits the power of "The Golden Woman"." Ene remarked.

"Now that you mention it; that is true." Eina added; nodding in agreeance.

"I'm lost but whatever." Ane said; shrugging. He then remembered his flashback. "Hey guys; what do you know about teleportation? Specifically one where a jaw of darkness swallows you."  he queried.

"It's one of the dark element's teleportation methods." Ene replied.

"So anyone with that element can use it?" Ane asked. Ene nodded.

"But the usual one that is used is a black hole where they then get transported in a spiral motion. This spiral represent their elemental symbol. Originally all elements had techniques showing off their symbol which each had names. The spiral was referred to as the "Invisible Spiral" since the spiral marks aren't usually visible to the naked eye." Ene explained. Ane exhaled.

"That Masked Guy used that spiral if I'm not mistaken." he thought. "But that leaves every type of dark element as a suspect." he continued thinking.

"Why'd you ask anyway?" Eina asked.

"Never mind that." Ane said dryly as he left through the window.

"Hey, that's my thing." Ene scolded.

"Where are you even going!" Eina yelled after Ane.

"To train!" Ane called back. Lana stood at the room's door silently; holding bandages.

Ane stood in a forest silently to then break the silence with a sigh. "Train my ass. How do I even go about doing that!? Normal training won't do squat for my elemental battles." he remarked after.

"So you're just out here talking to yourself now." Lisa asked as she emerged from the trees.

"Lisa? Why're you here?" Ane inquired casually.

"I saw you come here so I followed." the girl replied. Sweat came behind Ane's head.

"Oh...ok." he said.

"So what are YOU doing here?" Lisa questioned.

"Well I WAS originally planning to train but now that I'm actually here I can't figure out how I should even go about it." Ane said. Lisa held her chin.

"In the fight against Rob; Mandy gave an explanation and if I'm correct it implies you only have to increase your normal physical strength to a certain extent." she remarked. Ane held his chin thoughtfully.

"That's actually a smart remark." he stated; nodding. Lisa blushed slightly.

"Well I'm not dumb." she said; pushing her hair back. Ane sighed and folded his arms.

"How would the elementals even measure my normal strength? How much will be enough to increase my powers?" he inquired.

"I don't know to be honest. I was always on the battlefield so didn't really get time to study this tiny details." Lisa said softly; eyes shielded. Ane remained silent. "But I'm sure Lana would know." she concluded; turning away from Ane.

"Lana...huh." Ane said. "What's your relationship with her? I mean; she doesn't even want me contact with you and you avoid her like a plague. Are you just using me Lisa?" Ane asked impatiently; clenching his fists. Lisa slapped him and shock filled Ane's face to then be kissed by the girl. "I'm confused." Ane thought as she girl pinned him down and stared down at him longingly.

"I'm not using you, Ane." Lisa remarked; squeezing up on Ane before French kissing the boy who held the girl close after little hesitation.
