Chapter 0:

Prologue

The Consequence of Destiny

The four ruling kingdoms, together, made up the Fiyadin. The northern kingdom - Elenorin , the southern kingdon - Narnion, the eastern kingdom - Sequiona, and the western kingdom - Maelina.

Each kingdom had its own royal family, a king, a queen and a prince who'd lead the family in the future. Each kingdom was distinct in its cultures, traditions, lives and people but still part of a single world.

When Fiyadin separated into four kingdoms, there was war and blood was shed. Each kingdom wanted to rule over the other, but too much was lost. To put an end to this war and blood, a treaty was signed between the four kingdoms. By this treaty, each of the royal families would work independently in their respective kingdoms, for their own kingdom and would not fight to gain control over another. They would still be part of a greater world, Fiyadin. They would consult with each other over important issues and each would have an equal vote on the table.

This had been going on for a long time, each kingdom living peacefully and harmoniously as a whole. Until one of the kingdoms birthed a princess.

The southern kingdom Narnion's queen gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. If the princess were to marry outside of the four kingdoms, the peace of the four kingdoms would be disrupted, the southern kingdom would be excluded out of Fiyadin.

This caused a new clause in the treaty. To maintain the wholeness of Fiyadin, it was decided, after long discussions, the princess, when of the right age, would marry one of the princes of the other three kingdoms. The kingdom she marries into will join hands and combine to rule as one, gaining power over the other two. To keep the process impartial, it'd be the princess's decision which prince to marry. The fate of Fiyadin lies in the hands of the little girl, Valentina.

Valentina grew up to hate this system, she had no choice in her own life, she had her destiny written for herself. Since her fourteenth birthday, the three princes had started to make proposals to her. Her life was filled with lies everyone told her, in attempts to woo her. Even her mother and father were cruel to her, to groom her into the ideal queen.

She didn't want his life, this destiny. But neither could she deny it. So she decided to change it.

On her eighteenth birthday, she had to choose who she was to marry and change the history of Fiyadin. She chose herself.t

What did she decide? Who did she marry? Did she honor the treaty or change it? What is the future of Fiyadin? It's all in the hands of Valentina. The story is filled with drama, tragedy, romance, sacrifice, fantasy and, above all, mystery.
