Inside Mikan's Residence

“Welcome to Mikan’s residence, I am Airi Mikan your flatmate” Airi was smiling with a slightly mischievous expression, while Koi was confused,

‘Living together!? I thought it was going to be a male…. Should I really get inside’ Koi was confused when Airi pulled his hand,

“Are you going to keep standing outside?” she asked. Koi’s mind was already in clouds from her sudden intimacy,

‘Ahh, I held his hand!!’ Airi thought as she realized what she did,

‘What should I say? Should I leave it? Why does it feel so natural to hold his hand? What am I even thinking!?’

“Uhhh, move already!! do you plan to keep standing here the whole night!?” she shouted as she turned to hide her embarrassment,

“I am sorr… sorry” Koi stuttered as he walks behind her inside and Airi complaints as he closed the door,

“I already told you right, don’t apologize for small things much,” she sighed and Koi thought,

‘But you always scold me!!’ thinking that he moved his hand towards the wall where he saw what he thought was a switchboard. But before he could turn on the,

“No!!” Airi shouted,

“Do not turn the lights on right now!!” she stood between the switchboard and Koi, her arms spread open,

“I…. I… I” Koi was stuttering, not being able to reply when Airi realized where his hand ended up. The hand that moved towards the switchboard was now touching a place that it wasn’t supposed to,

‘Move…. move’ Koi’s mind repeated, but he was too shocked to move his hand from the softness it was placed on, and Airi’s face was getting red from anger and embarrassment and she asked in a scarily cold voice,

“Mister Yamamoto, how long do you plan on not moving your hand”

“I am moving… it wasn’t intentional” Koi replied, his hand still there as he tried explaining when Airi shouted,

“Just move it already!!” finally Koi moved his hand away, putting it directly in his pocket. Airi and Koi were both too stunned to speak anything when Airi said,

“I’ll show you your room, you can turn the light on there,”

Koi wanted to ask why he can’t turn the light on here but after what just happened, he was in no position for questioning and just followed behind quietly,

The surroundings were dark the windows have curtains in front of them, it almost seems that the room was intentionally made darker and Koi couldn’t see much leaving the wall at his side and Airi walking in front of him and a dark thought crossed Koi’s mind,

‘Don’t tell me this is intentionally… to kil...’ but he stopped before he completed his thought as he knew if that was the truth, what he did earlier could make him a deserving candidate for it, and also

‘I shouldn’t be this paranoid when Ito already saved me back and shrine and is still helping me….’ thought Koi, staring at the back of the girl who might’ve tried hard to find him at the old shrine.

“This is your room right opposite to this is my room, but don’t think anything funny,” Airi said as she twisted the door knob open,

Koi expected her to turn the light on as soon as she entered but instead, Airi gestured for him to get inside first he didn’t question much and walked inside slowly and after closing the door Airi finally moved her hand to the switchboard turning the lights open,

Light blue colored walls, a window AC, a door, a wardrobe, a small chair and table beside the bed. the room wasn’t too big bed almost took up to 1/3 of the room’s space but it had a homely vibe nonetheless.

“That door leads to washroom and bathroom. They are attached. The bathroom have a shower and bucket only…. If you are lucky once a month maybe I’ll let you use my bath” Airi said, Koi was relieved at least once a month he has a chance with the bathtub as back at his home in the village he it was a part of his routine to use bathtub at night before sleeping,

Koi still wasn’t replying as his mind still hasn’t recovered from the incident that just happened, when Airi spoke with a sigh,

“I know it wasn’t intentional so just forget it and we are good,”

“Yes…” Koi answered and cutting their awkwardness off, a sound came from Airi’s grumbling stomach and her face turned red as she spoke in a nice polite voice,

“Ahh Mister Yamamoto, you should be really hungry for your stomach to be grumbling…”

“No….” Koi was about to answer but Airi’s eyes seemed to be shouting save me from this shame and he conceded as he answered,

“Yes, I was just wondering when I can ask you about food… Hehe!!” Koi awkwardly rubbed the back of his head when Airi smiled and said,

“Right right!! Just wait for a second, I’ll bring porridge. You can look around the room just don’t go out hall is dark,”

“Yes, I’ll just be here,” Koi answered and as Airi left, he went straight toward the bed and stared at it for a while,

‘1, 2… go!!’ he thought and jumped right on the bed, absorbing the comfortable feeling of the bed.

‘Can’t believe a normal bed would be this good after sleeping on a park bench’ he rubbed his face on the cushion when the voice of the door opening came and he sat with his back straight on the bed at a lighting speed.

“Ahh, you could’ve been more comfortable Mister Yamamoto…” Airi said teasingly as she had already seen Koi from the slightly open door,

“I am comfortable,” Koi replied in a low voice and Airi grinned as she brought the porridge to him,

“This is instant type… please have this for tonight. Tomorrow we will discuss the house rules and things,”

“Umm, about hall lights?” Koi couldn’t help but ask, but Airi shrugged her shoulder as she said,

“Don’t worry about them. They were just fused and pressing the button caused, sparks so I stopped you…. But they’ll be fixed tomorrow before you wake up”

“Ahh, I can fix them…” Koi said as he had fixed many electric appliances and plugs back at home, but Airi pretended not to hear him as she said,

“Have a good night, Mister Yamamoto” Koi nodded as she exited the room thinking,

‘Saved!!’

Koi quietly ate the porridge as he thought about how his life was going to be from now on,

‘Cohabitating with a Miss Ito... if anyone knew they would be jealous’ he thought as he lay on the bed letting sleep take over him,

The next morning when Koi woke, he was feeling refreshed and elated from a nice sleep without having an Iv attached to his hand, moving towards the door he pulled it open.

“What the hell!? Miss Ito, are you okay!?” Koi shouted as he saw something totally unexpected and chaotic
