A ray of hope

1 year later..... 

I'm Kimihiko Nobunaga, 16 years old. Its been a year and a lot happened since that day, the day rain died. I was currently atending in the Lotus Academy.

After school. a rainy afternoon with a cloudy sky and noise of the carriage, occupied in the whole streets of the school. 

Kimihiko standing in the waiting section for the carriage of his father while it's raining heavily. His whole body was swallowed by the sensation of coldness through strong wind current, Kimihiko whole body was shaken up by the cold. 

"W-w-whats... T-t-taking father s-so long..." Kimihiko said. 

A wooden carriage with a yellow curtain and an items and barrel were heard from the right corner of the road coming forward to the place where kimihiko is. Its stop right forward to kimihiko and a old guy with a brown shirt and black pants from the inside opens the door. 

"Yo kimi hurry up and get into the carriage" old guy said. 

"I-im h-h-here for like 30 minutes d-dad". Kimihiko speaks. 

"Haha my bad my bad" dad speaks. 

Kimihiko ride in the carriage, unpleasant weather is causing the carriage to move slower. He drop his bag down and starts reading a book, as time passes by, they reach the forest and it's still raining. 

"How's school kimi?" dad speaks. 

"Im tired and stress dad, the lecture was so exhilarating that im not bored and wasn't out of mind in the class. Only the assignment they gave are the only one bugging me " kimihiko speaks. 

"Oh good to hear that, be sure to finish all of that " dad speaks. 

An quiet atmosphere, only the murmuring of the wind and the sound of the rain were only heard in the carriage, Kimihiko's dad picks up the wine in the carriage and drinks it. 

"Uwah! ... That refreshing" dad speaks. 

"It is really healthy to drink alcohol dad?" Kimihiko speaks. 

"Hahaha.. Forgive me, this is my only happiness" dad speaks. 

Kimihiko dad put down the alcohol and quietly drove the carriage. As he was driving, kimihiko accidentaly dropped the book outside the carriage and they were forced to stop it. 

"Mann.. Its all muddy" Kimihiko speaks. 

"Hurry up! Dont stay outside or you'll catch a cold" Dad speaks. 

Kimihiko picks up the book and look slowly up then he see the hill with the unique tree because it was large and tall that they were used to as hangout place with his ceased friend rain. 

"You still thinking of that girl right?" Dad speaks. 

"........" 

"Yeah, its still hurts whenever im in that tree because i feel her presence" Kimihiko speaks. 

Kimihiko's dad jump off to the carriage and put his hand into Kimihiko's shoulder while they're getting wet from the rain. 

"Listen Kimi, life is short. So find the easiest way to enjoy your life, dont take any difficult road or anything else that can't help you progressing in life. There's nothing wrong with taking the easiest path of your life, that's how you should be live your life longer isn't it? Live your life than to mourn to a single person, even that person doesnt want you to he sad right?" Dad speaks. 

Kimihiko cries while hearing the words of his father while carrying his muddy book, His dad hugged him and then they go back to carriage. They drove into the forest and finally reached the village and go home together. 

"Mom were home!" Kimihiko speaks. 

"Oh—Kimihiko welcome home!" Mother Hilda speaks. 

"Im home" Dad speaks. 

Mother Hilda walks toward to Dad and sniffs it uniform. 

"Are you drinking again!" Mother Hilda speaks. 

"W-well im not drinking anymore... Right kimi?" Dad speaks

"Your drinking a wine in the carriage lately" Kimihiko speaks. 

Mother hilda were so furious and smack Dad's head with newspaper. 

"Damn you what if you get hospitalized again?!!" Mother Hilda. 

"I'm sorry i will not drink anymore... Anyway your food is so fragrant so imma dig in now.." Dad speaks. 

The 3 of them arranging the plates and place the rice and the food in the table and then they eat together. After it, kimihiko picks up the plates and do the dishes then proceed to his room. He automatically jump in the bed and lay down. 

"Well this is a long day, im gonna sleep now for tomorrow" Kimihiko speaks. 

He sleeps now in a messy room and hug the pillow.

It was 2 am and im hearing a loud noises in the kitchen, and then a voice of a woman while coming up in the stairs and opens the door at my room and wakes me up. 

"Kimihiko!" the woman said. 

I was conscious in that time but pretends to just woke up. 

"Hmm? Its early in the morning? Wait auntie rose?". Kimihiko said. 

"Yes, your father was taken into the hospital so your mom calls me and asked to take care you and your sister." Auntie Rose speaks. 

"W-wait dad!?" Kimihiko said. 

Kimihiko stand up and change his clothes then proceed to the hospital to check his father. 

"I'll leave sis to you auntie!" Kimihiko said. 

"Take care!" Auntie speaks. 

He ride in the carriage and drove into the town to go the hospital, he arrived there and rushes towards na cashier area. 

"W-w-what is the room of Elionor Nobunaga?" Kimihiko speaks. 

"Wait let me check... Hmm... Elionor...there it is! Room 29" nurse speaks. 

"Thanks" Kimihiko said

He run in the ladder and goes into the room 29 and he enters, he see his dad in the bed unconscious with a tube hose all over his body. 

"Dad!" Kimihiko speaks. 

"Kimihiko!" Mother Hilda said. 

"What happened mom?" Kimihiko speaks. 

"Your dad collapsed in the kitchen due to his alcohol addiction" Mother Hilda speaks. 

Mother hilda crying while narrating the whole happenings to Elionor. 

"Come on mom—dad will be recover in just a days dont worry he just need to get operated right?" Kimihiko speaks. 

"Yeah.. But we need a cost of 100,000 neuro for the operation" Mother hilda said. 

Kimihiko shocked from the cause of the operation because they need a money to start the operating for Kimihiko's dad,kimihiko decide to buy a food for her mother but as he leaves the room he see a woman in a doctor uniform. It was Mitsuki Aira, the person who help kimihiko in the woods 1 year ago. 

"Long time no see kimihiko~" Aira said. 

"Yeah long time no see miss aira" Kimihiko said. 

"Why are you here in hospital?" Aira said. 

"My dad collapsed and was taken here, but to start the operation we need a high amount of money. Kimihiko speaks. 

Aira smiles secretly and hold kimihiko's hand.

"I'll gonna pay the expenses of the operation for your father, this is my hospital anyway " Aira speaks. 

"W-wait really? No i-im gonna work for it, its shameful to take another favor from you" Kimihiko said. 

"Of course it's not free, you need to work for me" Aira speaks. 

"Yeah! Im gonna take any work just to make my dad safe" Kimihiko speaks. 

"This work is simple you need to live in the mansion and become the servant of my daughter, of course you need to attend the same school as her. Will you take it?" Aira speaks. 

"Yeah! W-what??! S-s-servant??" Kimihiko speaks. 

"Yup, now i will pay for your father expenses and operation fee. You will start for tomorrow, meet me here in the town im gonna take you to mansion tomorrow" Aira speaks.
