Art class and the missing girl

The girls met the next day before class to discuss Serena’s new theory about the woman they met in the park being the former student connected to the robotics club and incidents happening around school.

“It’s not like I don’t trust you guys, but I am still not convinced that this one random woman we met is the one we are looking for.” says Nia to the other girls.

“Would it be possible to get another look at the yearbook so we can compare her to the pictures and maybe find out her name?” proposed Ti.

 “Mmm… I don’t think the science teacher will just give it to us, so we have to steal it. Is that okay by you Ti?”

After some consideration, Ti agreed with the plan.

The science room

During lunch break, Ti and Mona went to the science teacher's classroom.

“Could I ask a question about acid-base reactions?”

“Only if you are quick”

Then the science teacher spotted Mona who also walked into the classroom.

“Oh, you two hang out together? That’s interesting”

Once the teacher started to explain the chemical reactions to Ti, Mona walked to the bookcase, hoping the teacher wouldn’t spot her. Mona started to quickly scan through the books to find the yearbook they were searching for.

“Mona, what are you doing there? Whatever you are looking for, it’s not gonna be in there. Please leave my classroom.”

Mona walked out of the classroom and waited for Ti to be finished with her question.

 “He was onto us…” said Mona once Ti walked out of the classroom.

 “Once you left the room, the teacher preached to me how I shouldn’t hang out with you since you're a bad influence. Like he has any say in it” said Ti in a frustrated manner.

“I am an exemplar student, I don’t know where the guy is talking about” joked Mona in response to take the tension off.

“We’ll figure something out.”

Art class

Welcome, welcome butterflies come in! I hope you all brought your smiling face today since we are gonna let all our creative juices flow. Today’s lesson is all about portraits, so we are going to do a little exercise.”  The teacher started making a weird face.

“What am I expressing here?”

All the girls in the class looked really confused.

”I want to see hands please!”

The only person to put up her hand was Mona who was enthusiastically shaking hers in the air.

“Mona?” the teacher asked.

“I am sorry mrs, but the only thing I could think of is that you're having to let the brown bear out.”

 “Mona that is such a creative metaphor you came up with! But now I think about it I really have to go use the facilities. I’ll check on your portraits at the end of the class.” and the teacher hurried out of the door.

“Our teacher is such a weirdo” said Mona after the teacher left the room.

“You’re one to talk Mona… Anyway, what are we going to do for this lesson?”

Catching up on some sleep… It got late last night”

“That always happens with you doesn’t it”

While the other girls were joking around, Serena started drawing a portrait with great care and precision.

Maybe we should take Serena as an example and also start drawing before the teacher comes back” said Ti.

“Hmm, is that Mrs X your drawing Serena?”

Serena stopped drawing and she started blushing a little bit. She nodded her head in agreement.

“That is not what she looked like! She had blue hair, not green!” said Nia and she also started drawing the mysterious woman in the way she remembered her.

 A little later, all of the girls were fanatically drawing different portraits and arguing about which one was the most accurate. After a lot of bickering, they managed to come to a consensus about what Mrs looks like. Long greenish hair with green eyes and glasses. They decided to have Serena draw a final version which they’ll use for a wanted poster. When the teacher came back at the end of the class, she looked at the girl's work and was surprised at how productive they had been.

“Great work girls, I can see you really put your spirit into it. I think creating a wanted poster is a really creative way to express yourself in today’s society. You try to look for a part of yourself that you cannot find just yet. But always keep trying to fulfill yourself on the highest wave of self-actualization girls!”

 “I would be lying if I’d say I totally understand what you’d just said teach. But we are actually looking for a girl that looks like this so that’s why we created it.”

“Mona you stupid! You just deduced our grade with at least 10 points!” said Nia angerly.

“Don’t worry girls, passion like yours will always get rewarded. Now that you say it this girl looks a bit familiar… but I can’t quite put my finger on it”

“She used to be a student here, do you know her name?”

“Well, maybe. It’s a long time ago so I’d have to work my mind on it.”

The park

After their classes were finished, the girls decided to gather again in the park close to the school.

“This time I didn’t eat all the cookies” said Mona as she showed a pack with two cookies left.

“With the emphasis on all” she added while putting on a big grim.

“It’s fine, we will split them” said Ti as she broke the cookies both in two and gave one half to every one of the girls.

They decided to split in two different groups, Ti and Serena went to the mall while Mona and Nia went to hang their posters in the area of the train station.

“Look that’s is a QRM-3 dubbledecker train, you don’t see those often here.”

“Like I’d care, you have some strange hobbies Mona”

At least I am honest about them, and don’t try to hide them from my friends.”

“Let’s just hang these posters and get out of here as quickly as possible okay”

“Girls, what are you doing?” said a deep voice.

Mona and Nia turned around and there was a security guard standing behind them with an angry mustache. Nia suddenly looked strangely insecure and was about the apologies with a stutter as Mona interrupted her.

“We are looking for a friend who is lost, so we are hanging these posters. We will remove them once we found her.”

“Have you already reported her missing to the police station”

 Yes, but they were only willing to help after 48 hours and we are really worried about her”

“Well, that’s true. Let me take a look at the picture”

“Mmm. well, I’ll walk around here all day so I can keep an eye out for her. I’ll hope you’ll be able to find her soon” said the guard.

After they were done, Nia thanked Mona for coming up with the whole coverup story.

“Thank you for saving us there Mona, I started panicking for a bit there…. Don’t tell the other girls though!” 

“Alright, he he”.

The mall

Ti and Serena went to the mall together to hang down their portion of the posters. So that was all of them!” said Ti after they were done.

 “Look what a cute dress!” Ti took Serena by the hand and dragged her into one of the mall’s little boutiques.

“Let’s try it on” 

They went to the part of the stores with the fitting rooms. As Ti entered the fitting room, Serena was about the enter it too.

“Could you please stay outside?” said Ti, looking a bit embarrassed.

After a few moments, Ti left the dressing room with a bit of a disappointed face.

“It doesn’t suit me well. Let’s head back to the other girls, I think we are already late”

 “We almost got arrested!” said Mona with an enthusiastic voice.

“Mona, you should be careful!”

“It really was nothing” reacted Nia.

“Yeah… a security guard asked what we were doing and helped us out later”

The girls headed back to the dorms. Mona kept her phone close hoping someone would call about the wanted posters. Aside from one prank call late at night, her phone remained quiet. Disappointing…
