Chapter 0:

Introduction

Green and Gold

“Better days are ahead to those who are patient”, those were the exact words from my passed Mother through a severe illness who watched over me like a guardian angel and would always hold me tight even in her sickened state until I was 3 along with my Father who was involved in an accident when I turned 8, I never wanted to go on life without them but that’s what the future had in store. I suffer from mild autism and didn’t do a lot of speaking until I was 7 and felt I was at a constant disadvantage in life’s activities and to not have a parents guidance as I grew up was always going to be difficult, not just for my future but for my mental state, alone and scared like any parentless child would be, I had no choice but to have someone enroll me to an adoption centre in Stretford, Manchester to keep myself, Isaac White, alive and healthy, crying myself to sleep every night on a dusty old bed was something I soon grew out of but it still hurt never the less. I did find it hard to interact with the people to start as I kept hold of a teddy my mother got me but lucky for me I had the company of two young boys named Nathan Davies and Kyle Crawford who were the same age as me and shared the same fate of losing their parents for reasons different to mine.

They accepted and took me in as one of their group as being abandoned by your parents is something no child should have to go through but as we grew up, I would soon call them my brothers thanks to our similar ideals and interests meaning we stuck by each other through thick and thin. Some time after I was placed into the adoption centre, I was firstly adopted by a lovely couple who couldn’t have children of their own but they saw how much the guys meant to me and allowed me to visit the centre after school to play with them growing our bond, after a short time and a hell of a lot of persuading, all three of us were adopted by this couple meaning it was the best of both worlds, and this was our chance to repay their kindness and show our worth.

We decided together to enrol in the cadets after leaving high school to give ourselves a fighting chance at our future even after learning Karate and Shoison Aikido in our youth meaning nobody was messing with us and told the tale. Despite our background, we were just like any regular teenagers growing up and we wouldn’t change it for the world. I proposed the silly idea to all move in together at the age of 18 and it soon became a reality with our own apartment after getting approval from our foster parents, to celebrate we did what any other person looking for a good time would do, hit the town and shag!

In our case it would be our favourite place, 42’s on Bootle Street in Manchester. After hitting up the smoking area pissed like a fart, I made the ridiculous idea to apply for random jobs on indeed thinking it was hilarious at the time and the next day one place decided to get back to me, it would be Tokyo University as a teacher for English along with Nathan and Kyle being my assistants, confusion filled our hungover minds, but we made another ridiculous claim to accept and have a change of scenery in the land of the rising sun. We however asked to learn the language and the culture first before accepting and all was confirmed that we would become teachers in Japan at the age of 19. Did we have a dream or something we wanted to do? Not exactly but let’s see how this unfolded! This is the story about my life and how it came to blossom.
