The Static In The Air Part I

“Ryota... Ryota! Wake up and get out of the way!” Someone is shouting to Ryota to get up... He slowly opens his eyes and rotates his head to see that he is in the middle of the road and a truck is heading his way.

Ryota tries to move his body out of the way, but he can’t feel his legs anymore. The truck speeds his way.

“Someone... HELP!”

~ Ryota Takahashi ~ Age: 16 ~

Ryota is walking in an alleyway on his way to school. He is an average teenager going to his school and has an amazing girlfriend named Kyio Miyagawa. He takes his phone out and checks his messages... Everyone in the group chat is freaking out.

“What do you mean they accepted the battle?”

“I don’t know. Their leader sent a message and said it’s on.”

“What does Tatsuya think about it? Is he all right with us going into another battle.”

“His decision doesn’t mean a lot. As the commander of the commando division, I choose whether we go into a conflict.”

“Yuki... Just because you’re the leader doesn’t mean that you choose. Our actual fucking president, aka Tatsuya chooses if we go or not.”

Ryota sighs and wipes his face and decides to stop them from freaking out.

R: ”Relax everything will be fine. If we go to war or not, we will be simply fine.”

Y: “You're just a soldier so you better be quiet. This is for the captains and leader. Mi and Izanagi, what do you think about this.”

They both seemingly read the message, but neither of them responded. Ryota gets a notification saying that Izanagi sent him a message.

I: “Stay out of this. You don’t need to get caught up in it. This situation is for the captains and the leader, remember that.”

Ryota decides to put his phone on silent mode and he places the phone in his pocket. He starts walking towards the school again as someone hugs him from behind. Ryota’s first instinct was to break the hold, but then he remembered this feeling and let loose.

“Good-Morning Ryota...” Kyio whispers in Ryota’s ear suddenly.

Ryota’s whole body freezes from chills. He technically hasn’t seen Kyio the whole summer because of the gang.

“Morning Kyio. How was your summer?” Ryota asks her reluctantly even though she probably hates him.

~ Kyio Miyagawa ~ Age: 16 ~

“It was good, just a little boring without you. If you know what I mean.” She walks in front of Ryota and smirks in his face.

Ryota checks his watch and sees that school is about to start so Ryota ignores her and starts running and decides to take a shortcut through an alley. Kyio just looked at him run away and frowned and walked towards the school.

Ryota turns around a corner and suddenly stops and sees a familiar person sitting in the alley with blood on the floor and 2 people standing over him. It was Minami aka Mi.

~ Minami Miya ~ Age: 17 ~

“HEY, WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING!” Ryota shouts and then runs towards them and they both look his way, but then suddenly he gets hit by some hard object and he falls to the ground...

“Well, that was easy... Boss what should we do now, they are seemingly from the same gang.”

“I don’t know. Just hide their bodies and meet up at the warehouse later for the meeting. We need to discuss the Shadows of Carnage.”

He looks up and then sees a tall man wearing a coat walking away as 2 henchmen pick up Mi’s body and carry it into a dumpster. They walk up to Ryota and pick him up but suddenly one of them screams something...

“You there! Who are you?!”

There was a man standing in the alley way waiting for something to happen...

“I am your worst nightmare. You shouldn’t be messing with my gang.”

The man started running up to them and then dropkicked one of them over and quickly jumped back up and heel kicked the other.

Ryota looked up and he saw a hand in his face, he quickly grabbed it and he got pulled up. To his surprise it was someone very important to him and the rest of the gang.

“Tatsuya? Man, we haven’t heard from you since Kiyomasa died in the battle...”

~ Tatsuya Yamagishi ~ Age: 16 ~

“I missed you both.” Tatsuya took his hood off and then smiled at Ryota.

As I can remember it, it was a rainy day and we all got called out to fight against the Silenced Onis since they attacked Kiyomasa and Tatsuya.

- Abandoned Warehouse, Shibuya -

“Move everyone! We need to take down the ‘devil’!” One of the Oni jumps onto Tatsuya’s back, but Kiyomasa drags him off and then kicks his jaw out of place. Even more of the Oni surround them and Tatsuya and Kiyomasa touch their backs together.

“You have that side and I'll have this side. I love you brother.” Kiyomasa’s voice sounds a little terrified, but Tatsuya decides to ignore it.

The Silenced Oni charge them in unison, but then the door blows open as 4 bikes fly through the door and hit 5 of the Oni. It’s Yuki, Izanagi, Mi, Kojirou and Ryota, they step off the bike while Ryota hops off from Izanagi’s bike and stumbles a little bit and ultimately hurts his leg.

“Who are these guys...?” The Oni look at the five and then Izanagi decides to speak up.

“Oh, president my president... Oh, wait, that sounds cringe, ahem. Are you guys ready to go to pain town?”

~ Izanagi Takahashi ~ Age: 18 ~

Izanagi immediately rushes at the tallest guy and dropkicks him while the others take on the smaller fellows. Ryota looks at this situation and sits down. One of the Oni walks towards him and sits down next to him.

“What do you want... Oni?”

“I don’t want anything. I didn’t even want this conflict to start in the first place.” The Oni looks at Ryota and then smiles at him.

“What's your name, Oni?”

“Kyuren... Just Kyuren. What about you?”

“Ryota Takahashi. Nice to meet you, Kyuren.”

They both look at the conflict and then Kyuren decides to remove his gang's jacket and stands up.

“Can I borrow your jacket for a second?”

“Oh sure.” Ryota looked at him as he grabbed a knife and cut his own scar open... Blood runs down his face as he puts on the jacket and ties his hair up.

Kyuren runs into the battlefield and grabs two people by their heads and slams them together and then knees their faces in and rushes to help Izanagi.

Ryota stands up and then walks towards Tatsuya and Kiyomasa to help them. Suddenly he sees a hooded figure run towards Tatsuya with a knife. Ryota tries to warn him, but three Oni tackle him and start beating him up. The man was about to stab Tatsuya... But Kiyomasa jumped in front of him and the knife stabbed him...

“DIE YOU FUCKING LEGEND!”

Tatsuya looks at him and the knife in his chest... Kiyomasa headbutts the guy and he falls to the ground. He kneels down and the Oni stop attacking. Their leader walks up to the door and climbs on some crates and holds up his white shirt.

“We are retreating for now. We will see you again. Shadows of Carnage.”

He jumps down and then everyone leaves the warehouse as the other Oni’s follow him. The tall person who was fighting Izanagi and Kyuren just stopped fighting and left... 

"I will see you two again... And we will end this battle."

The gang gathers around Kiyomasa as he holds the knife in place in his chest and doesn't have the nerve to move it.

“Kiyo...masa...” Tatsuya looked frightened as tears rolled down his eyes and he holds Kiyomasa’s hand.

“Keep going strong Tatsuya... You can get this gang to be number one without me, you have all of these amazing members... And I’ll always be there to support you...”

Kiyomasa’s head goes limp as he seemingly bled out from the wound... Soon after the ambulance arrived and the person who stabbed him got arrested... The person’s name was Satoru Yamasaki.

The gang drives to the hospital with Tatsuya, when they enter and walk to the morgue suddenly Kiyomasa's parents approach them and his father pushes down Tatsuya.

“HOW DARE YOU LET OUR SON DIE TATSUYA! YOU KNOW THAT YOU MEANT EVERYTHING TO HIM AND HE WANTED TO SERVE YOU, BUT NOT LIKE THIS!”

“Honey calm down... They were attacked.”

“You... Traitor, we never want to see your face ever again. Please leave and let us take care of this.”

Ryota helps Tatsuya up and holds him close as they walk out of the hospital. The others say goodbye to the president while Ryota and Mi stayed with him...

“Tatsuya, you know it isn’t your fault. That man is probably going to serve a long time in jail since he did still murder him.” Mi hugged Tatsuya and then kissed his head.

“You guys don’t understand how much he meant to me... Just honestly leave, I'll be fine.” Tatsuya pushes Mi away and stands up and starts walking away. Mi tries to chase him, but Ryota catches her hand and holds her back. Mi immediately hugs Ryota and starts crying on his shoulder...
