Chapter 11: Wedding

Next day I was woken up by sudden cold air. It was Golilgri who opened window and took off the sheets.

„Time to wake up, master,“ she glared at me, but her cheeks were beet-red at the same time.

When my eyes got used to the light, I remembered what happened yesterday. On my left side was Taru and on the right was Kiira, both naked and snugling with me like I was some kind of body pillow.

„Oy, you two, time to wake up,“ I said commandingly.

„Five more minutes~“ Kiira said.

„Or five kisses hihihii~“ Taru added.

„Sishteeeeer!“ Goli started sobbing which woke both of them up for real now. Kiira get off the bed and grabbed her clothes like nothing have happened and quickly put them on. Before that! You have no shame? No, wait she’s already taking me as her husband, doesn't she?

I looked at Taru who was siting next to me. Her bluish white scales turned on her front silverish, while the rest remained the same.

When she saw it she broke into a broad smile and kissed me deeply.

„When you’re done it’s my turn,“ Kiira said flatly.

Goli, unable to process the situation took clothes she brought for Taru and with a smack! She put them on corner of bed.

„N-no, you can’t be… serious…“ Goli’s eyes widened when she saw silverish scales on Taru’s front.

„Fufufuu~ I knew it would be the case. It seems we are destined to be with  each other Leo~“

„What are you talking about Taru?“ Kiira said pushing her away, making herself comfy on my croach and kissing me.

„Us Sea dragonfolk can only marry once we found our destined one and we can’t marry anyone else even after one of us dies. If our partner is our destined one we find out by the color of our front scales turning silverish while holding each others hand,“ Taru expained.

„Well, I know how much Leo loves me, thanks to my unique skill [Loving hearts], which unites hearts of those in love,“ Kiira said smugly.

I’m too tired to refute it right now so please…

„Keep it together you two! I’m going for breakfast, I have swordsmanship training with Lulu after that so I would like to introduce Taru and Goli as new additions to our exploration group. Also I would like you two to show her part of your skills. No holy magic, Taru.“

„Sure Leo-dear. Is that another rival, Kiira?“

„Worse, she don’t know her feelings yet, so it’s that weird part of relationship,“ Kiira said matter-of-factly.

„Oh, I see. Shall we give her a push?“ Taru said stightly.

„She’s a noble’s daughter so that would be hard.“

„Oh, I understand.“

What the hell is this conversation? I though as I was changing by myself in change room. I get out looked myself down in the mirror and tried to wash my face a little with magic before going for breakfast.

„You look sleepy Leo, are you okay?“

„I’m okay mom. Just little tired.“

„Okay. You have your training with young Lulu today right?“

„Yes, that’s correct.“

„Good, keep practicing. And tomorrow we will get you suit for wedding.“

„Wait, what?! I’m too young for that Father!“

„Not yours, Gavin’s. We decided that with what happened to Duke Glemburg’s family,“ father shot me a look, „we will hold the wedding ceremony for Gavin and his fiancée before leaving the capital. Many nobles we would likely invite are alredy here anyway. Plus Gavin’s and Mia’s friends are here in capital as well, so it would be easier for doing it here then inviting them back to Roseburg.“

„Ah, I see. Understood, I will go pick some formal clothes with mother tomorrow… should I ask Tarumipemi to give them blessing as the priestess?“

Mom and dad exchanged looks and said: „Rather after the ceremony is over and we are alone as family.“

„It would be alarming for Beastmen kingdom, even though they are our vasal state, to find out that their Holy child is still alive, even though the last king attacked the temple where she lived,“ mom added.

„Uderstood,“ I gave a little nod and left the room after finishing my food. Wait I don’t have gift for them!

As I was pondering what to give them, I remembered the one time I was invited to wedding in my past life. Back then I got list of gifts which would be good for married couple. But there is nothing like that in this world. Nobles bring the best thing they can offer, but I can’t bring something better then the family of groom and bride… wait I could give them *that* right?

I smiled to myself and took out a list of items I had in my storage.

„I have enought materials to make one or two, but the precise work will be needed. Good thing I got metalwork skill while making the colt…“

I returned to my room and made several sketches.

„Oh, is that the opening pendant with portraits inside them?“ Taru asked.

„Yep, it’s rather old thing in our old world, but I never saw it here so I thought I would give it to brother Gavin and Mia as wedding gift.“

„That’s a wonderful idea! Tell Goli to make the portraits, she’s really good at painting.“

„Sure,“ I took out some Fake lily’s cores and grind them into fine powder. After that I mixed it with powder from water magic stone. I let the powder stabilize and moved to another part. That was modeling the pendants. In the end I decided to make them oval. I was only able to make the chain before Lulu arrived for our swordsmanship practice so completing the pieces together and inserting magic circuits had to wait for another time.

„Wow, Leo you really are getting stronger every time we spare,“ Lulu smiled at our practically even match. I had swordsmanship skill at level eight thanks to our training so I was probably only one in this world who could keep up with her absurd power, granted to her by her unique skill [Sword saintess].

„Same as you. I feel I won’t be able to keep up soon,“ I smiled, „if I only use swordmanship that is.“

„I know that if you used magic, I wouldn’t stand a chance, that’s why I’m training so hard, to close the gap,“ Lulu smiled back.

„Was that a confession?“ I picked up Kiira’s muttering.

We practiced for almost three hours stright and then we went for lunch. I revised my planned pendant and enjoyed the afternoon by going shoping with Lulu, and Taru with Kiira, who decided to tag along. I needed some more items to use on those pendants as well and as a bonus I got to go our with three cute girls.

„Hmm, this stone looks nice, wouldn’t you say Lulu? It matches your eyes pefectly,“ I said as I took the crystalic stone with leather string attached to it from shopkeepers stall.

„I-I don’t know…“ Lulu stutered and tried to look away. So I walked behind her and place it on her neck, making her look at herself in hand mirror that hunged next to the stall. Given her reaction while looking to the mirror, I knew she liked it.

„I knew it would look nice on you,“ I said and purchased it right away.

She smiled and hold the stone in her hand, clenching it tightly.

We continued for the rest of the evening and when I send Kiira and Taru home, I walked Lulu back to her home.

„Those new girls… Taru and Goli… are pretty aren’t they?“ Lulu started all off the sudden.

„I’m sure some men will be captivated by them in future. But I’m rather glad that I found someone I can rely on for healing. It will be easier for us to keep fighting.“

„So you don’t want do naughty things to them?“

„No,“ I said resolunetely.

„So you don’t even look for a partner for future? You were quite popular at the party and you even danced with few other girls… even princess.“

Yeah, try to say no to a princess, I would never stop hearing about it from other nobles, not to even mention my parents. And yeah... I did kinda danced with Count and Viscount girls after that didn't I?

„I’m not looking for one becouse I don’t even know what future holds for me. And becouse I don’t know if I will ever get noble rank of mine own, I don’t try to get myself any fiancée. Not like those noble ladies would like an adventurer for husband.“

„Heheh, that’s somehow just like you,“ Lulu smiled and it once again warmed my heart.

After that we got to gates of her family’s mansion.

„I enjoyed today, I wish we could do it again, but we are going home tomorrow…“

„I enjoyed it too. I would like another day like this.“

With that Lulu jumped to me and pressed a stone with leather string to my hand… and kissed me.

„I won’t be behind those two who care’s so much for you. I promise you that when we meet again, I will be strong enought to stay by your side!“ Lulu said with strong determination in her voice and her eyes sparkled brightly.

I got my hand out of hers. And put the stone on my neck. It was green crystal with silverish light to it, just like my eyes.

„I’m looking forward to it. But I won’t be waiting, I will be getting stronger as well. And when I’m strong enough I will come to take you.“ I said grabing her hands again. We kissed again and Lulu run to her home. I went back and was glad for night wind to cool my head. I went totaly overboard, that was proposal like from the books!

In next few days I finished the pendant and magic circuits inside it. Goli finished portraits on small plates I prepared in advance and I put them inside and fixed them with tiny plate of glass. The two pendants were finished with that.

And in three weeks the wedding came. The nobles from our dominion of rank higher then viscount were present on Groom’s side and on Bride’s side were her sisters and few nobles from their domain. Few of Mia’s (the bride) friends from academy were present with their families as well.

And for some reason they tried to start marriage talks with me not caring about place they were in. And after I pointed that out they relucantly left. I mean, don’t you think it’s weird if you try to pair me with a girl more then two times my age?

Even with that, the wedding went of without a hitch and we feasted long in the night. And the moment the pair of the day left, I left as well. I was dead tired and the moment I lie down in my bed I fell asleep.

The next morning I get dressed early as I wanted to go to labyrinth with my new group to unite them a little with my old group.

„This is Leo’s room right?“

„Y-young lady, you can’t enter room of boy the day after your wedding!“

„Don’t worry, I’m going to see him as well,“ brother Gavin’s voice was much firmer then usual.

Right after that, Mia and Gavin stormed into my room.

„Leo!“ Mia hugged me with tears in corners of her eyes.

„B-big sis Mia, what is wrong so early in the morning?“

„You made those didn’t you? Those pendants with our pictures right? Right?“

„Yeah, that was my work why?“

„Thank you. Thank you so much!“ Mia repeated.

„Leo, Mia’s happy becouse of that enchantment you put on that necklace, healing magic is rare to come by and it's said that only few talented engravers can make the circuits for it.“

That's first time I hear about this. I never got engraving skill so I thought that everyone can do it.

„Ah, I understand. You want to keep brother Gavin safe no matter what, don’t you big sis Mia?“

„Yes. Thanks to you a big stone fell from my heart. Truly, thank you.“

„Those pictures inside are amazing as well, I never saw something so small, yet so precise. I never thought that there would be something like that inside.“

„I thought that you would like to have part of the other one with you even when apart from each other.“

„You really are something else little brother,“ Gavin smiled warmly and ruffled my hair.

After breakfast they went back to our territory and I went to dungeon with Taru, Goli, Ruzu and Kiira.
