Chapter 57

The elf archer shoots a big magic arrow up at the cave entrance.
It explodes and it's blocked, we aren't after every single demon, just the giant one.
As the confusion kicks in the rogue throws her daggers and manages to injure the giant demon in the neck.
It quickly takes them out but it's bleeding out, the lava like blood pours out but quickly closes as well.
DARK MAGIC
I launch several of them and they hit but it's not doing enough damage since I just got the skill not long ago.
More of the demons that were outside show up, they begin attacking but they are no longer a match for me after I powered up.
I slightly strong swing and one is cut in half.
The blood is still burning me though so the healer heals.
The giant demon casts a fireball and it's huge.
BAM
It's countered by the elf's shot and this is how it stays for a while as the surrounding demons are killed by me.
The advantage is ours, the only one left is the giant demon.
It roars fiercely and goes on the attack, its final attempt.
It comes straight to me, a straight forward punch?
Activated some skills no doubt, I can't let it land.
Shoot out webs to stop it a bit however it's body is hot which only slows it down but that's enough for me to get behind it without it being able to launch a counter at me.
The only move I have is also a straight forward one, a powerful strike to the body, hitting it's heart.
Blood pours out and I'm in hot pain but it couldn't be helped.
Healing comes through and after a while I am fine.
Rogue takes the entire demon in her dimensional bag and we go.

We hand it over to the guild master and he's shocked.
'h-how'
'yeah, it's impressive right, I never thought we would come this far' says the rogue.
'rogue-chan' the healer is in tears.
A bit over dramatic but we have come far haven't we.
'the award?' asks the elf.
'oh yes, for such a feat as a giant demon to be defeated is a B rank quest but we do not have the money for that at this moment'
'oh no, what do we do then'
'we may not have the money but we can let you keep the demon's body'
'heh, that doesn't seem worth much does it' wonders the healer.
'dummy, we can use it as material for stuff, it's a good award'
'ah right, I forgot'
We say our thanks and leave.
'let's head back to the capital now, we should be strong now right' says the rogue.
'I agree'
