Chapter 7:

Punch The Biggest Girl First

PSW AU: The Amazon's Dream

Edit Note: I realised that I can't count. La Blanco has to stay for another two chapters.

The combatants in both rings circled each other. These rings were known as Southwest and Southeast. Coach Tonye stood outside the Southwest, while Alexa stood outside the Southeast. Daniel stood in the centre watching both, while Simon stood in his corner watching the Southwest.

Suzanna was in the Southwest ring and kept her back to the ropes. Everyone was looking at her menacingly.

She found herself in a corner with nowhere to go. The others began to converge on her. It was high school all over again. Her eyes rapidly darted in every direction as she gripped the ropes tightly.

Meanwhile, in the Southeast, three rookies had already been knocked out by a lean, Haitian man with black and orange hair, in a blue singlet and black boots who was moving at incredible speed.

"Johnson, Dali, Singh out!" Alexa said,

The rookie in the nurse outfit was dangling from the rope. She managed to hang on only to be kicked off by a hairy, 2.3-metre Argentinian man wearing a green basketball jersey and shorts. The rejects were then forcefully escorted out by security.

"Nightingale, out!"

The man dressed as a soldier-luchador was military pressed out of the ring by a tall androgynous black person in a turquoise crop top, shorts and black boots.

"El Soldado, out! Okay, that's enough"

The Viking was about to toss out the other luchador with a fallaway slam, but let her go.

There were five left in the ring.

"Great job!" Alexa said with a thumbs up, "You guys are safe! Take a rest. Have a snack. You're going to need it,"

"15 left, better ‘oehrry!" Daniel said while the now-safe rookies exited the ring.

Simon frowned at Suzanna. The aura of vulnerability that she was emitting and the terrified expression on her face made no sense. She should've been able to intimidate them into approaching her with caution.

"For goodness sake, get out of that corner!" He yelled, to the shock of the coaches.

She closed her eyes and made a mad dash forward, steamrolling everyone, even the near-140 kilo Moby Rick. In her blind rush to other side, she managed to knock two people out of the ring.

"Richards, Papadakis, out!" Tonye said,

"Well, I'll be damned," Daniel said, impressed, before looking at Simon curiously.

"What?" He asked in annoyance,

Daniel went back to watching the action.

She stopped and turned around, as a short Dominican man with an afro attempted a springboard enziguri. She let out a high-pitched, "EEEEEK!" and slapped away his incoming foot which sent him spinning like a frisbee out of the ring.

Tonye watched in shock as the man smacked against the wall,

"Figueroa, out!" He said, "Medics, please,"

"Ah! S-Sorry! Are you okay?" She said upon seeing what she did. The others started to get to their feet.

(They're going to come after me again. I need to make them leave me alone. Oh, what do I do? Should I try being scary?)

"Uh... u-um... I-I mean."

She raised her fists and attempted to glare, before speaking in a shaky, high voice,

"Wh-who's n-next?"

Simon's eyelids drooped.

"You couldn't be less intimidating if you tried," He muttered.

Daniel heard him and gave him another look.

"What?!"

He smiled, turned back to the ring and said,

"I am goin to persahnally 'and a cahntract to de ones who get de beg girl in de 'oodie ooeht o' 'ere!"

Alexa facepalmed, "Oh no,"

Simon's eyes burned with rage, "You son of a -"

Suzanna turned around in shock,

"HUH?!"

Tonye shook his head.

(Not this again.)

They all got up. The man in the soldier gear calls for a quick huddle before the six of them all charge her at once.

"W-Wait, please-"

The soldier and a well-built, blonde Russian woman both dived for her legs. Before she can react, Rick charged like a bus, and crushed her against the corner, leaving her dazed.

"Ouch," Daniel commented.

A tall Nigerian woman in red tights, with brown hair and a shredded Egyptian man with a thick beard and shorts, grabbed both her arms and then all five of them lifted her and prepares to throw her over the rope.

Alexa harshly slaps Daniel in the back, "Why do you always do this? It's cruel,"

He gestured towards Simon. She looked at him and shrank away in fear at his homicidal glare. This was less concern for Suzanna and more because Daniel had done this exact same thing to him two years ago.

He marched forward. Daniel pulled Alexa out of the way as Simon grabbed the ropes,

"Wake up, you gormless blighter! Do you want this or not?!"

She snapped out of her daze,

"Huh... What? Ah!"

She tried to struggle but it was too late. She was thrown over.

"NO!" She screamed, just barely managing to grab the top rope as they dumped her out. They tried to give her a final push, but she wouldn't let go.

"Don't even think of letting go of that rope! You hear me?!" Simon demanded.

She grabbed the rope with her other hand and firmly planted her feet on the apron, as they kept pushing to no avail.

"Dammit, let go!" Rick yelled pushing with all his strength, which was immense, but somehow incomparable to hers.

"Ooh. I want to root for her so bad," Alexa said anxiously,

Simon just clenched his jaw. Daniel started to chuckle,

"You know, maybe I should joehst call dis all ahff and give 'er de cahntract sence you're all stroehgglin so moehch,"

"Daniel!" Tonye and Alexa yell in unison.

Simon turned and glared at him, which only made the old Irishman laugh.

Blondie started punching Suzanna in the knees, while the soldier punched her in the stomach. Red Tights clawed at her face, while Rick punched her in the face. She just clenched her eyes shut and bared it,

(Can't let go. Can't let go. Can't let go.)

"Let go, you bug-eyed freak!" Rick yelled. That insult dug deep, but she kept her grip.

(Can't let go. Can't let go. Can't let go.)

"Hey, take it easy!" Tonye said, "Just pick someone else,"

"Dammit move!" Rick pushed everyone out of the way, ran to the other rope, bounced off it and propelled himself forward.

"Watch out!" Simon yelled.

(Can't let go. Can't let go. Can't let-)

She opened one eye.

(Wait, where'd everybody- AAAAHHH!"

She ducked down, pulling the rope with her at the last and the big man went tumbling out to the floor.

"Moby Rick, out! That's enough!"

Simon breathed a sigh of relief.

(I did not need to see that from a different angle.)

Suzanna crawled back into the ring, panting heavily. Her face was scratched and bruised.

"Alright, well done," Tonye said, clapping, "Take a break. 30 minutes. Lee'aja, let the medics check you out,"

"O... kay..." She said, getting herself to a sitting position, as the others left the ring.

"Nice wahrk, lass," Daniel said, with a respectful nod, "You really ‘oehng in ere,"

Simon frowned.

(No thanks to you)

"Thank... you..."

"By de way, I-,"

"Nooo!" Rick yelled, shoving the guards, "No no no noooo! That contract was mine!"

He looked at Suzanna, seething as she got to her feet.

"You!" He rushed the ring,

"Oi!" Daniel said running out to catch him. Tonye and the guards were closer.

Suzanna backed away in fear as the angry whale man charged at her. The lights flickered, but Rick didn't notice because he was seeing red. Perhaps that was also the reason he didn't see the raised knee of a red tracksuit in front of his face until he collided with it.

Simon stood on one leg and watched him collapse to the floor. The guards start to drag him out. Suzanna was curled up behind Simon, shielding her face. She looked up,

"Morons, all of you," He said dropping his leg, "Gamal is the one who hands out contracts, remember? It was a stupid test,"

Stunned silence. Alexa and Tonye sighed. Daniel just scratched his head and shrugged.

"You acted like a pack of starving hyenas for no reason,"

The rookies all look down or away. It's a mix of shame and frustration.

Suzanna slowly straightened,

"U-um... Th-thank y-"

"What exactly is wrong with you?" He said, turning to face her. She flinched a little at his gaze.

"I... I-I..."

"You're somehow unaware that you're bigger and stronger than most of these eggplants,"

"E-Eggplants...?"

"It's like you're a mouse in a lion's body and it's seriously pissing me off,"

"I-I'm sorry, I-"

"Stop apologising,"

"S-s-" She quickly put her hands over her mouth and looked down.

"If you seriously have problems with physical confrontation then stop wasting everyone's time and leave,"

He turned away and left the ring, "The less of you scrubs I have to deal with the better,"

She watched him leave, then looked down again. She felt a pat on her shoulder and saw Tonye smiling at her,

"This is a learning experience. You did well, so keep going,"

She nodded as the medics came to check on her, then looked again at Simon who, along with Coach Daniel, was getting an earful from Alexa.
